That goal against Newcastle is one of the greatest goals ever scored. His awareness of where the defender is and the technique and ability to control the ball and touch it round him was just pure magic.
The key was to put spin on the ball so that when it hit the round it spun in the right direction to retake possession.
Fun fact the leicester goal was better according to him.
J10Wilshere so good the commentator didn’t know what to say “AND THEN THIS”
You are so right. Every football player should learn to do that. But sooooo hard to do it with a defense player next to you.
Imagine being the defender! Player goes one way. Ball goes the other way... GENIUS!
Feel as if he is underrated by world football due to Thierry Henry shining alongside him. What he did with a ball was unreal
He was selfless and could have scored more goals but realised his age and what henry could do. If you look at Henry's interviews he always thanks Dennis.
Sonu Yasir Awesome..!
+Salz1991 underrated? they made a statue about him
Agreed
+Tobias Svejdal Well it looked like Arsenal had to think hard before finally getting him a statue even though he was a better player than Henry.
I don't think i will ever witness a player as technically brilliant as Sir Bergkamp
Mattb l
Amen
Ronaldinho?
Makai Cunningham ronaldinho has street style football and quick feet while bergkamp has precise movement. I would think bergkamp is more elegant out of the two.
Makai Cunningham ronaldinho has street style football and quick feet while bergkamp has precise movement. I would think bergkamp is more elegant out of the two. I mean look at the type of goals and assists they make, u can cleary see bergkamp makes the most memorable moments.
I came here to watch football not art
U came to the right place
@@RFED2O please upload
Bolton 2 - 2 Arsenal 2003
Newcastle 0 - 2 Arsenal 2002
The one against Newcastle is the most beautiful goal I’ve ever seen! As a little boy, that game is why I fell in love with The Arsenal!!!
U witnessed the art of football
As a Man Utd fan, I must say Dennis Bergkamp was a football genius and I always consider him among my favorite, great skills and very intelligent player. Great players always scored great goals in great fixtures. He not only scored these beauties in the premier league but also scored one of the greatest goal in World Cup history during France 1998 against Argentina.
1:56 i still don't understand how he could control the ball like that, it feels like he was above the rules of physics in that moment. Amazing, amazing Goal!
The mind is always ahead of the feet mate . The ability to out think a defender needs quality, and the immaculate technique on top of that is the cherry on the cake .
@@bitoffbalance4021 I think me means like the amount of technical mastery you’d have to have in order to control the ball like that in that moment
His first touch and ball control is second to none. The none flying Dutch was a master of his craft. His goal against Argentina in 98 was a thing of beauty too.
Bergkamp... His touch is mind blowing!
There are some players that you watch where you cannot help but get emotional when you admire their skill, Dennis Bergkamp is one of those....just pure class.
I was getting emotional, took me back to a happy time as a kid watching this magician
Denis Bergkamp is one of the greatest artists in football history.

@@MagicMike_101 yes
@@martinevensen406 The "______" (include whoever you want here, even yourself) is the GOAT.
@@MagicMike_101 You start talking about GOAT.
When Mohammed is talking a bout artist.
That is a big difference, and Mohammed is right.
Bergkamp was a artist on the field.

One of the greatest players ever!
Bergkamp vs Newcastle should be no.1
Agree, that goal is just... ooff
AFC17Editor this is his own ranking..
Yeah im not even an arsenal fan and bergkamps goal v newcastle is one of my favourite goals of all time.I cant remember anyone else doing that.
@jimboslice613 ronaldinho possibly but I cant see neymar doing it
@jimboslice613 Easy to say once you'e been shown the way. The trick is to come up with it in the first place!
His goal vs Newcastle has been voted the best ever premier league goal, yet it's not even number 1 on this list?
Ross James It was voted 2nd best, sadly, behind Rooney's overhead kick against City.
Bergkamp himself said that the goal v Newvastle was based mostly on luck, and he said that his goal v Leiceister was his best.
Utsavbajra No he didn't, in the interview after the game, he claimed he mean't it thus not making it "luck".
dmc431 yes he did, in an interview some time later, he said that he did meant to flick it, but it was lucky in the sense that the defender didnt intercept the ball, the defender didnt tackle him and the ball landed right on his feet after the turn.
Utsavbajra Let me reply with an old saying that goes - "You make your own luck."
Greatest "NON_FLYING" Dutchman
I think he had the greatest influence on English football, more than any other single player.
He set a standard that was on a totally higher level. Higher than those of 2018.
English football as a whole just stood and looked and felt like uncommitted amateurs.
He revolutionised English football.
I don't think so
@@MagicMike_101 gelukkig ben jij de enige zonder voetbalkennis
Agree. I've never seen another player quite like him. He was like the picasso of football.
The goal v Newcastle is ridiculous.. phenomenal player, great ball control.
Best player to ever wear the Arsenal shirt, had the pleasure of seeing him play live on many many occasions, met him several times what a humble man always had time for fans
Arsenals BEST EVER signing. The engine room of the middle field. The best team player ever. When Denis was injured, Thierry was not happy.
The good old days :)
Goal number 5 was amazing but then I realised that there were 4 more that were better •__•
Ali Hussain same.. i watched the first two and was like, there is no way there are still three more to come lol
Аристократ
the greatest arsenal player ever
Ummmmm..... Have you heard of Thierry Henry?
drummerman558 lmfao calm down, why you gotta get so butthurt. I never said Bergkamp was bad I just think Henry is better
Charles Pampliega you calm down
Charles Pampliega Have you ever heard Thierry Henry speaking about Bergkamp? He said Dennis is the best player he ever played with. Henry played with Zidane, Trezeguet, Ronaldinho, Messi, Eto'o, Ibrahimovic, Iniesta... It's quite fair to say that Bergkamp was Arsenal's best player.
Jedi Mind Tricks But Henry isn't exactly gonna say himself is he..? :P - @acharich
1:55 This goal sent chills down my spine

the true dutch wizard, coyg
One of them, at least. Sneijder, van der vaart, seedorf, van basten, cruijff etc.

@@polarbear2475 Respect bro
I'm a Chelsea fan, and I must admit, with all respect, that Bergkamp-Henry were two of the best forwards to have ever graced the game. :)
,
That goal against Leicester was exquisite! 👌🏾 One of the best, and he did exactly the same against Argentina in the World Cup.
Messi mimicked Maradona, but only Bergkamp can mimic Bergkamp.
One of the finest footballers in europe. His goal for the nerherlands against argentina in WC 1998 was one of the greatest of all time.
His ball control is infinity. Woah!! Unbelievable. The non flying dutchman🔥🔥🔥
The best first touch I ever seen in football.✨"it's magnificent"
True
Yes!
Obviously I'm not an Arsenal fan, but this man was something else. Bergkamp and Berbatov were the most elegant and techniques players that I ever seen.
I would never expect to see the names of Bergkamp and Berbatov in the same sentence.
As amazing as the numbers are for players like Ronaldo and Haaland, there's a certain magic, a certain style about players like Bergkamp and Zidane that is just beautiful to watch.
One of my favorite Bergkamp anecdotes: RVP telling L'Équipe that one of his first great lessons, upon coming to Arsenal, was watching Bergkamp work for an hour on one-touch passing with his left foot.
After training had ended. 🙌🏼
My favourite ever player. I remember one BBC Match of the Day Goal of the Month when the top three were all Bergkamp goals.
Just a total genius, my all-time favourite player....
Dennis Bergkamp is the most gifted player what belongs to technic and ball control.
Respect
Greatest Premier League footballer of all time I am a Geordie and was at the game when he scored that magical goal against us the guy was a footballing genius thanks for the memories Dennis
Bergkamp is the kind of man that contributed to club's legend. What a footballer !
This is a real number 10, never seen better
absolute finesse in the touch
Greatest player I have ever seen. He was the solid gold engine room of midfield, with a vision that covered every blade of grass and the finest first touch on the ball I have ever seen. A truly gifted technician on the ball and selfless. All he thought about was what is the best interest of the team.
There's only one Dennis Bergkamp!! Absolute legend.
the legend bergkamp is my favorite player, i still remember on his brilliant goal against argentina in 1998 world cup quarter final
And the game against Brazil
Definition of Elegance
he is the architect of brilliant goals!
One of the most underrated ballers in history . the Iceman

Such a legend
From a Tottenham fan in my opinion the greatest player to come into the prem
Best touch a football has felt
the dutch master an absolute arsenal legend always loved watching him play he gave it all for the club
One of the greatest players in the Premier League. Simply sublime
I laugh every time I see that Newcastle goal, it's just so absurd. Legend.
I can't believe that Dennis Bergkamp his movement in front of the posts. He always get hold on himself and unperturbed. It's amazing~
Great Legend
came here after Dennis Bergkamp & Ian Wright interview
Same, Wrighty has mad love for him!
Back again after the PL reminded me of how emphatic this man for us and im so happy that he won the PL with us as well. His goals will never get old ajoy to watch every forward we sing is jsut brilliant and King Kai about tob e one of them
Just dropped a single liquid drop from my eyeballs.. remembering the moment he scored the goal against newcastle as a young lad watching the game we all love.
Definition of genius.
What a player. He could do anything with a ball at his feet
Stopped watching EPL post Bergkamp retirement though I still follow the fortunes of Arsenal. Oh, how we miss the sumptuous football of Wenger's Arsenal.
One of the greatest players I have ever seen
Dennis Bergkamp is definitely one of the most technical football players ever with the most refined ball handling and, in my opinion, in combination with his graceful way of moving and presence on the field, he is the best Arsenal player of all time. 🙏
I was in the North Bank upper tier for that Southampton goal. Brilliant.
Lets be real
His move against newcastle is prolly the GREATEST SKILL MOVE EVER CREATED
I have never seen another person pull off this incredible skill (ik that doesnt necessarily make it the best move ever, but i think the fact uve never really seen it replicated adds more awe to it)
Its a great technique as well, ive tried doing it over and over and have yet to get that spin of a touch like that
To me, what makes it incredible is that it's not one skill, it's a succession of very difficult skills, executed with perfect timing...with enough strength to hold off the defender.
The initial positioning to receive the pass.
The first touch to send the ball with spin in one direction.
The ability to move the other way quickly and efficiently.
The first touch to control the ball again.
The strength to hold off the foul from the defender.
The patience and exquisite footwork timing to bait the keeper to committing and then calming slot the ball under his side.
Man this player was special
To me Dennis Bergkamp is the best underrrated player ever.
The player that lifted Arsenal high! If he wasn't there neither Henry or other players would look so great. Henry was a top world class player but when Dennis decided to leave his mark it was an eternity of perfection!
When he came to Arsenal he changed everything. My favourite ever arsenal player.
A wonderful player
I can watch this all day
His positioning ball control and composure where unmatched
As a Liverpool fan this isn't easy for me but he was the best overseas player I ever saw in this country
*coughs* ronaldo *coughs* suarez *coughs* torres hmmm
Absolutely right.
@@khalidnur6581 not even close to Dennis nor in his shadow
Henry and Bergkamp are the two whom I admire. Pure class.
not an Arsenal fan but i WORSHIPPED Bergkamp.. to me he was just the very definition of a perfect Number 10.
This man was brilliant i put him up there with Zidan a true maestro
Without question one of the best ever played in PL. The man is a legend. Respect!
that first touch ! wonderful! wonderful ! wonderful !
I liked the turnaround on defender. Remember this guy. He was really good.
Still appreciated till this day- the spin 360 pass to himself against Newcastle. Legend

Pure Genius
sublime player
Always loved watching Dennis, class act. Not an Arsenal fan btw
You have to admit, Bergkamp is unstoppable
"the moveee.... and then this." Even the commentator was out of words, just how special that goal was.
The way he controlled the ball was something special. Not many had the touch he had.
Some of his assists were just as incredible.
I saw the one against Newcastle on the telly as a kid. Beautiful.
The best player i have ever seen, forget ya messi's and henrys.
PROFESSOR, CAMP, HENRY, THOSE GREATEST TIMES OF ARSENAL, OF PREMIRE LEAGUE.
Always travelled by road ! Legend
Followed the English game closely since 1971..and Bergkamp would be the most entertaining player to grace the league.
This goal is remarkable because a frame like his should mean that he should not look this classy playing football. Tall lanky players look awkward Bergkamp was pure class and elegance despite the fact his frame dictates he shouldn't be.
Simply a joy to watch.
One of the best of all time... from a man united fan!
What a beautiful player. He painted a picture on the field The goal against Newcastle ! Say no more
Not an Arsenal fan (Chelsea) but Bergkamp was top class. Sublime footballer.
That goal against Newcastle still sends the hairs up on my neck, what a God
Henry and Vieira carrying Bergkamp and everyone looking to at least carry one of his legs show how much the players adored him and how valuable he was to the club. The greatest ever Arsenal player
StraightOuttaBoats Maybe the greatest ever football player
Great team
StraightOuttaBoats good team
Class all the way. It was a pleasure to see him play
Insane player. An absolute goat, like many others however in that period. So many good players. Not compared to players nowadays.
The leicester goal is my favourite one from him. The way he control that ball is unreal.
Happy Birthday Legend..🎂🥳
