Hello Gabriella, your feed of this video came up in my list and I had to subscribe. Your voice is very soothing and I enjoy watching you. I look forward to seeing what you got at Springfield! Is this Springfield, Ohio? I live in Pennsylvania and I would love to make a trip to this flea market next year. Thanks for sharing. Donna xoxo I hope that bunny came home with you I love it. I would love to see the prices of things if you could show us. Great video. Thank you.
Thank you so much! Thanks for subscribing, hope you'll share our videos on your social media! Check out our latest episode, gorgeous setting for an antique shop!
Love your purchases, and yes that is indeed Peaseware great price! The crow….oh my, I named my house, Black Bird cottage, so I collect black birds and have a similar one. Thanks for taking us with you.
Thanks for taking me along, I love our Extrav in Kutztown Pa which is held 3 times a year in which I am a dealer . I shop on the first day so I can make sure to get my purchases home! I never set out to find a certain item I just let fate take over and surprise me.
Exactly. If I try looking for something specific, I'm sure to end up disappointed. I've always wanted to come to the Kutztown shows! New episode from Springfield Extravaganza 2023 Fall edition is up on Saturday morning at 10am!! I hope you'll check it out!
I laughed at the bartering you told us about. There was a little old Scottish lady who when asking the price would say,"Behave yourself I'm not paying that" a wise woman🤭🤭🤭
I so much enjoyed watching this video! My sister, niece and I were there for the early buying on Friday also. I found some great deals, had a delicious lunch from Schmidt’s and really enjoyed all of the wonderful displays. Unfortunately, I tired from all of the walking, the crowd after Noon and the heat, so we left before I even ran out of money (which was a first for me). You gave some great tips on how to dress and finding a landmark when you park! I agree that people pulling wagons make it kind of cumbersome for other shoppers. But I still enjoy this show and all of the wonderful items to buy!
I'd love to hear what you got! We also had a wonderful lunch from Schmidt's that we ate in the big tent around 11:30. I kept feeling like I was racing the clock before the crowds would come in, but it was quite crowded in the morning as it was!
I bought a brown transferware pitcher for $10 - a Watt stoneware bowl for $3 - an ornate silverplate serving fork for $1 - a vintage coat hook for $1 - a beautiful piece of tropical floral barkcloth for $35 - and a cast iron door stop for $24. These are all items that I collect. We also ate in the big tent but we ate at 9:45 am (we were hungry and wanted to avoid the lines to buy food). I so much wish I could have met you and your parents! Maybe next time!
There's so much really good stuff here, it's really a giant antique show! New episode from Springfield Extravaganza 2023 Fall edition is up on Saturday morning at 10am!! I hope you'll check it out!
I know you said it’s pretty warm there but I wish you could send or share some of that warmth with Maryland. This is the weirdest weather very cool spring. It’s almost June and it has not gotten hot yet.
Really enjoyed watching you at the show. So many great items. Love what you bought, especially blackbird, really nice. Those eyes! Rolling pin is great. I have my grandmas rolling pin. I use it and love it.
I especially love family pieces!! New episode from Springfield Extravaganza 2023 Fall edition is up on Saturday morning at 10am!! I hope you'll check it out!
I, too, would like to know more about the Shaker comb. For your hair, curry comb, or something else. Marco Island, formerly Toledo. Hope to see you soon when I come up for a family reunion.
I like antiques! If I ever came home w a moose I’d be mousing on down outside!!😂😂😂I can just see my minimalistic son!! 🥰🤣🤣🤣imagine that his room maybe mi imagistic moms are! Farm 😍🥰
Really appreciate your scanning... That it included furniture! I've watched other videos where only smalls are the focus and to me that's very boring... ALSO, I saw human hair in a mid-west museum used as thread in small tapestries....
Looks like a beautiful piece you have your treasures displayed on !! Shows like that are overwelming for me, I see a lot of the eastern European pieces at Scott"s in Atlanta !! Lots of the huge bread troughs people love them !!
When the amount of treasures is that big I just focus on the things that really capture my attention. I picked up a few treasures at the show today! New episode from Springfield Extravaganza 2023 Fall edition is up on Saturday morning at 10am!! I hope you'll check it out!
Very interesting …..not familiar with the shaker comb…..can you give a little more info on how that piece is used and what it is made of? Thank you…..even though you didn’t get a lot of items, what you found was very nice and well selected. 😁
Between 7am and 12 on Friday it's earlybird shopping. 20.00 per person and the crowds are a bit smaller. At noon the doors open for people paying 10.00. So I tried to get to as much as I could before it got super crowded. I know I didn't see half of it.
First time viewer from Kenosha, Wisconsin. I love seeing Antique and Vintage shows like this. You said it was in Springfield, but you didn't day which state. Is it Springfield, Illinois?
Last time we flew home from CA it took us three hours to find the car. My husband & I flew there separately and he was running late for flight……so neither of us could find the car in the airport lot. 🤦🏻♀️
Ugh, my worst nightmare!! My parents and I were in Berlin. Germany visiting the antique district of all things. Forgot to remind ourselves of landmarks when we parked. Thank goodness for the keyfob beep. We might still be there looking for the rental car!!
Did I see you comment you have a video on those little hat boxes? You had a graphic saying you had missed that small red hat box. If so, would you post the link please?
@@Thecapeonthecorner the hat boxes are new to me. I have been seeing one, a green box with a red felted fedora in it for awhile at a store I frequent but didn't understand what it was. At first I thought it was just a box because it was so light. I was there a couple of different times before I opened it, lol. I was surprised to see the hat. I thought it might be a salesman sample and really that is kind of what it is only standing in for a full sized gift! Although I think the one I am seeing at the store is a reproduction compared to the look and the size of the ones in your parents more vintage collection. And I loved the shoes! I am really enjoying your videos, they are very nice. Take care!
I love all so many different things. A piece really has to speak to me now. I collect mercantile boxes with the advertising of baking supplies. Such as vanilla, baking soda, chocolate, etc. But they are the crates that the smaller pieces would have been shipped in to the community mercantile. Among other things!
The human hair is used a lot of times around gardens or plants or flowers so that deer won't be attracted to them and try and eat them. The hair keeps them away, at least that's what I've been told. I've never tried it. Maybe it's just an old wives tail!!
I hate to go to a show and there are no prices, to me it's like they are too lazy to price and then they size you up to charge more. I won't keep also asking prices, they can take it back home with them.
vOLUME IS NOT loud enough, can't hear you. Ten minutes in and you are panning so fast one can not see anything, you need to slow downand maybe rest for a second on some if the items. IT IS ALL JUST A BLURRRRRR.
Finally....a person who loves true antiques, country style, farmhouse items and primitives as much as I do. Love your content. Keep it coming.
Thanks for watching! New video is up now!
We were there all 3 days and still didn't see everything. I am glad to see someone else loving primitives.
Definitely! I'm going to have to do 2 days next time. One is just not nearly enough time!
Oh the Peaseware! What a price. Have not been down to the Springfield show in many years. Thanks for taking us.
Yes, I was beyond tickled with that find!!
I love your treasures! We shopped local today. Trying to prim-up the porch. Hope you found your darling parents before you left!😁
Good amount of treasures. Nice video. Thank you
I look forward to this every year. My mom and I go to both extravaganza and go on Saturday.
It really is impossible to get through all of it in one day.
Hello Gabriella! Thanks for taking us along! I enjoyed seeing all the treasures there. Thanks for sharing!
You're so welcome! Hope you'll share the episode!!

Hi Linda, thanks for confirming my thoughts on it being Peaseware! Now be watching for lonely lids!!
I also adore books very old and I need a book shelf!
Stacks here and there are charming too!
My favorite place to go and look for antiques!
Definitely a fun place to hunt for Primitive and early pieces!
lol I'm not a dealer but I shop like you do. Some great finds! That piece (sans lid) certainly looks like Pease ware to me.
😁

thank you this is really FUN
I'm located in Ohio, too. I was at Springfield. It is so much fun. I could barely walk at the end of the day Friday.
We were all moving a bit slowly on Saturday for sure!!
love this

Thanks!! New episode is up Saturday morning at 10 from the Extravaganza Fall edition!! Hope you'll check it out and hit that share button!
Wow!!!!! That is so much stuff !!!! A lot of walking I’m sure !!! Glad you found yourself good items !!!!!!
It's definitely a good show to spend the night before and the first night too. You can't possibly see it all in one day. Impossible!
Thanks for the day at the sale, we call them flea markets. Love the shaker comb and the Pease bowl.

I shop like you, though I did scout for antiques at one time.
It definitely is a different way of looking. Hard to go 'antiquing' with friends when you scan booths like this though! LOL!!
Loved the tour! thank you so much!
This place is so ginormous I would want to spend a week there it would be nearly impossible to see everything!!!!

Wow Gabriella, you can tell you were really excited, your camera was moving 100 mph! Lol

I adore rag dolls especially ragety Ann’s and Andy- & any other doll that looks like she needs me to take care of her 😅
I wondered what u we’re looking for I’m new to your site. You recharged my love of primatives!

I would put a Ballon on my vehicle.
I take a picture of my car's location! Otherwise, I would search for hours!😂

I saw some selling right next to their camper. It was in another video, but i can't find that explained anywhere. Does anyone know about that.
Too much walking for this old lady but how Fun!
When is this held????????
Da mareo tu manejo de celular 😅 no se puede mirar nada con detenimiento!

I hear you. But sometimes as the show goes on and the piece remains, the price goes down, so it never hurts to ask!
