Best yet. I like all the city, the busyness, the buildings, trains, ferries the harbour and the magical, mystery, tour you went on Russell, to find a man to fix your fishing reel.
The mansion looks magnificent, the architecture, the interiors and I suppose it was the height of luxury in the early colonial days.
With the Maritime Museum it looked great and was full of interesting photos, but it was quite striking to me that there were no references to waka, catamarans with sails, no maori navigators and sailing crews who started sailing the pacific, what was it, 4000 or 5000, years before Cook. And there are no maori mythical characters, like Maui, who after all fished up the North Island. It would all be underwater if it weren't for Maui. Mind you there was quite a bit of land underwater recently.
It never really sunk in before that you both are very much interested in N.Z. history. Everything beautifully edited and narrated. Thanks

Thanks Phil. Yes the history is interesting. I'm guessing the Maori part of the Marine museum was in another part of the building. We only went through the Pacific Islands section in the video as could not cover all areas before closing time. Thanks for your comments and feedback. Russell and Amanda

@@hymertimesnz Ah yes, perhaps there is a Maori section in the Maritime Museum. I hope so. Anyhow I really enjoyed this video.

Hi Team. My wife was wondering about your scooters. Do you have a name? She is quite keen on them

They are Road Runners by Vero Motors. Stormrides in Auckland are the agent in NZ. We find them excellent but there has also been a few minor issues that people complain about in the way of quality. On the whole we find them light to lift ( With battery removed ) and excellent as a second vehicle.

@@karenrobinson4969 You need about 300W of solar on a sunny day. Via an inverter we use an AC charger for up to 8 hours, depending on how much battery is used. I usually charge one battery a day.
