For anyone interested in wondering what “beekeeper” means in this movie; a beekeeper is an agent who is part of an intelligence organization who operates outside of government jurisdiction. They’re essentially tasked with policing the government & “protecting the hive”.

Terrible premise. No checks or balances. Beekeepers would be legislators, judges and executioners. Policing the government / society on what grounds? Whatever they deem necessary? 🤦🏻♂️
@@youreskimofriend2327Not that bad of premise, actually, when you look through the lens of history and realize that every single government that has ever existed as abused it's power and taken advantage of the citizens they're supposed to govern.
It answers the question "Who polices the police?" bit adds another question, "Who keeps the beekeeper?".
@@johnpatrick1647 yes the systems in place aren’t perfect, some work better than others but to put some organization above all those checks and balances without any democratic institution or consensus based supervision would hardly be an improvement. It would be a matter of time until said organization would succumb to corruption etc. because people are people and you couldn’t rely on those to just be better than anyone else.

It was a good movie, had decent elements and most of all. It's not entirely about the bees.

I liked this movie except for the daughter (of the mother that killed herself) because it was horrible acting on her part and I cringed at what she would say sometimes.

Oh my God. They basically stole this scene from John Wick when the father is warning the son about who he stole the car from. Wow, this is so pathetic and it’s not even subtle that they basically ripped off from John Wick. On top of all of it, this movie was trash. Jason Statham will forever be known as the guy who makes movies for the cash grab. It’s sad because he could be a really good actor if he was actually in decent movies with a script
