Doctor once told me it's not the eggs, it's everything you eat aside from them
Just like red meat, the meat, itself, won't cause constipation. It's the refined carbs you consumed with. When you have a fatty piece of meat, you even have better chance to get diarrhea, thanks to the excess fat.
Yes processed foods and sugar, and high amounts of salt is the issue, not eggs. Eggs are very good for you which is why they're trying to make them seem bad. Try to go for pasture raised or organic
@@LaNguyenBTong probably not... there have been studies in recent years that suggest that all that is highly individual.
Meaning one person's digestion may be fine with certain foods and combinations while another person's digestion might struggle with the same thing.
This includes fiber, apparently there are people whose gastrointestinal tract doesn't do well on high amounts of fiber and those who should avoid fiber wherever they can.
I eat 4 eggs a day...
Never died.
8 eggs a day, 6 in whites mixed with 2 whole for over 2 years and I'm healthy as shit.
Poached eggs, baby! 3 to 4 every morning on a slice of whole wheat toast or over potatoes. Might even throw a couple slices of tomato on that! Oh, 62 years old, been eating eggs, my whole life, and do not have high cholesterol
Gramps ate 4 a day. Was exercising and biking until he died at 91. I'm so thankful he taught me the same! 5 a day and definitely feel & look better than most. 💪💙💪
I also do 5 per day but remove two of the yolks to keep fat at 15g from the eggs and 5g from the butter.

@@jeffo8905 My grandfather is 98, smoked his whole life. I guess we proved if you want to live long you should also smoke cigarettes. Derp. No, that's called genetics but you can gamble if you want. Depends on cholesterol levels.
When I went to school in the 80’s and 90’s, they were still using Milk and cheese as a food group one needed to have a portion of.
Meat, Fruits and Vegetables(same group), Carbohydrates, Milk and things made with it.
It was a joke, but it was how doctors even went about telling people how to eat.
Healthy cholesterol, and fats, just weren’t agreed upon by the myriad of experts.
Unless one has a prior condition, eggs are just good for you.
My father in-law has eaten four eggs every morning for years.. he is now 105 years old and still farming
Don’t need to watch to say hell no you’re not taking my eggs from me.
The only Cholesterol thing about the eggs are the Yellow ones, white ones are safe
@@Memesifoundonfacebook
My doctor said recents research shows that even the cholesterol from the egg yolk get neutralized real fast after eating. So no harm
@@Memesifoundonfacebook cholesterol is not bad. (Your brain is made of fat and cholesterol). It does not cause heart disease and never has. There are several other risk factors that are placed way above high cholesterol. The only thing in that blood test you need to care about is Triglycerides need to be low, that's it. LDL means nothing, it will always be high on a low carb diet no matter what. Always eat the whole egg, with butter and beef fat. Stop eating processed grains, bread, pasta and foods with seed oils (anything you don't cook yourself will probably have) and any fried food, french fries.. This is the stuff people should be afraid of, not animal fats. Seed oils stay in your body for years. There is zero evidence you need to restrict ANIMAL FATS. The more fat you consume, the more weight that falls off of you and inflammation goes away. Again, only if you're low to no carb. Actually it's proven that if you eat a something with high sugar content while low carb, your cholesterol plummets and is more effective than medication (statins). Look up 'Oreo vs. Statins'. It's not saying to eat oreos, it's a study to show how useless the statins are and the fact that we don't understand cholesterol as well as we thought.
I just read a guy wanted to see what would would happen if he ate 24 eggs a day on average for a week. His bad cholesterol went down by 18% in one week.
When people do things like this, it´s the first time in their lives they every pay attention to what they eat. 9 times out of 10 just losing a bit of weight improves obesity related stuff like cholesterol. Stop eating chicken nuggets, pork and potato chips replaced with eggs will improve your health.

Yeah, and combine them with potatoes and you've got the best nutritional combination a single meal can offer.
Been eating 4-5 whole eggs since the past 12 years almost daily
Cholesterol is perfectly healthy and normal for us! The brain is 99+% cholesterol and we need healthy fats and cholesterol for daily brain and cell function! DONT FEAR CHOLESTEROL
Everything correct, except the brain is not 99% cholesterol, lol. Like the rest of our body, the brain mostly is made of protein, it does contain a lot of lipids, including cholesterol, but also a lot of of water.
It also balances hormones, hence why we have so many homosexuals around now. Also, it happens when thyroids get blocked.
This is so chill compared to your usual videos
I eat 2 to 4 eggs 🥚 daily! My cholesterol is normal!
Cholesterol is not the boogeyman its held out to be. In fact, low cholesterol can be more dangerous according to studies of fatalities over large population swaths, and high cholesterol often found in high percentages of people who lived to be over 90!
Who do you believe!? I’d rather live without worrying. I know big pharma wants you to take their drugs to lower cholesterol…😒
@@KpR333 You probably eat out a lot and don't realize it. Mine was high because I was constantly on the go so i'd eat out 2-3 times a week or if groceries got low. When I stopped eating out completely it went back to normal.
Did my Masters thesis on this kind of thing. Almost all of the studies that show up on the news are funded by competitive industries. Ex: Egg industry funds studies that are damning to the dairy industry and vice versa. How they continue to scare us into thinking that plants and protein are unhealthy is beyond me.

My lovely great grandma who has passed away a few years ago did every single day eat eggs I was told by my family. She never had any major diseases and was healthy to the day of her death, she passed away peacefully without pain. She always ate healthy and didnt eat any processed foods at that time and she lived to 95 years old so thats a number. Even though she lived in bad conditions (post WW 2 in Poland) the house was kind of dirty and small but still she managed to live healthy and thanks to God passed away with her only family left being her sons.

I have always been worried about eating them too much so I have them every other day. One with the yolk and the rest without. But now that I've watched this and have a little more insight on the truth, I'll indulge a little more than my current routine. Thanks Jeff!
Your body makes way more cholesterol than you could realistically eat
Also grain fed chicken eggs are higher in inflammatory omega 6 fatty acids whereas grass fed or pasture raised are higher in anti-inflammatory omega 3s!
That's why mine run around the yard

Never eat chunks of meat, because having chunks of meat in your bloodstream would be dangerous.
Great info Jeff. When i was Younger i use t eat 10 eggs a day yolks and all. Now only a few a week .
going back to more yolks maybe not 10 a day But 2 a day sounds good. Any knowledge of who or where a total rotator cuff can be done by?
The discussions surrounding egg consumption have been going on for more or less 40 years, and every decade the conclusions fluctuate from that eggs are dangerous to that eggs are good for us. The last thing was that the cholesterol found in eggs is a type of good cholesterol that the body is not harmed by.
I relate to a golden rule that works well in the vast majority of cases; eat all you want but in moderation. As long as one does not exaggerate, our organism will handle the harmful substances and utilize the good substances.
I’m not sure about this. I don’t know what to think about this??? it seems like you can’t eat anything these days every week. Some new study comes out suggesting whatever food that has been relatively healthy all of a sudden terrible I don’t know what to think anymore.?!?!?!
Overwhelming, isn’t it? Lots of people are feeling this more and more. Moderation is the key, but you need the integrity for it. Also making things at home to monitor how much of an ingredient (e.g. salt, butter, oil) is added.
Always good to be mindful that cholesterol levels are affected by diet AND/OR natural cholesterol production in your body; some people naturally produce very high cholesterol levels.
From the people that brought you Lucky Charms are healthier than steak.
Thanks for this.
Our government is so beyond behind with our health 😢
I love that we all implicitly get this joke where Jeff is ironically "clickbaiting" us and we know the video is going to be totally sober and scientifically grounded. But he knows we know, and we know he knows we know, etc.
.... and here we go again.
Hell yeah. Good work, my dude. You're on the right track. But just to screw with your head and add some bonus info here, one of the reason we make the mistake of dietary cholesterol effecting blood cholesterol is because that when you replace foods that contain cholesterol (animal products) with foods that don't (plants), your serum cholesterol levels lower, but this isn't because you cut out the dietary cholesterol. The reason this happens is because plants have their own form of cholesterol called "phytosterols" that the body mistakes for cholesterol, so it stops producing as much of it as it should. And THIS is actually one of the main reasons we are so unhealthy in our society today. Lower cholesterol levels are actually associated with higher all-cause mortality rates (among a plethora of other health issues like psychological disorders) because CHOLESTEROL IS NECCESSARY FOR YOUR HEALTH, and lowering it, especially by way of malnourishment (plant-based diets) or artificial drugs (statins) is clearly problematic. "The Cholesterol Hypothesis" has been debunked over and over again, clearly showing that higher cholesterol levels do NOT lead to heart disease. Keep digging, my dude. In the words of Fox Mulder: "The truth is out there." 👽
My (ex) pill-pushing Doc put me on Pravastatin when my LDL Cholesterol level approached 300. P.T.'s warned me of muscle soreness side effects, now we hear of Dimentia, Alzeimers being caused from prolonged Pravastatin use. In just as recently as the 70s, a 300 LDL score was the aim, then Pravastatin was invented, so the AMA lowered the recommended LDL Cholesterol level to 200, thereby greatly increasing the chances to prescribe Pravastatin. Causes and natural changes are never discussed. It's been about making $$$$ for decades folks, not cures...
Any chance we could get a video on the role of DHT and whether or not we should be trying to fight it?
In 2022, I was eating 8-16 whole eggs everyday for at least 4 months. It was cheap protein and i had looked up that dietary cholesterol was not linked to blood cholesterol prior to incorporating this many eggs. I got my bloodwork done and my LDL was 121. As a 21 year old that had been consistently lifting for 4 years, I was shocked. I cut yolks from my diet for about a year to fix my LDL. I have since reintroduced the yolks and have 2-3 a day with healthy LDL levels. It seems, for my body at least, that dietary cholesterol has an impact on blood cholesterol when taken to the extremes
Eggs do less harm than the mainstream media. Get farm eggs, mind you. Those are healthier and tastier than your usual supermarket eggs.
At 65 yo I’ve been eating eggs (a lot of them) since I started competing at 17, still here still loving my eggs!

A student at Harvard literally just did a study on eggs and ate TWO DOZEN A DAY for a month, a total of 720 eggs. At the end of the month his cholesterol lowered by 20%
I don’t eat eggs anymore since the have increased by like 1000% in price the last 12 months smh
This video is a banger! I’m egg intolerant, but love to learn!
Claim 1 has a false premise based on a comparative study: Low versus high egg consumption, with no zero egg group.
At 1:25, Jeff confirms that one egg has 200 mg of cholesterol. When we compare people who eat ZERO eggs to people who eat even ONE, there's a large difference in outcome measures (e.g., LDL). But the difference between 1 egg and 8 eggs is relatively small. However, it's also true that as bad as dietary cholesterol is, dietary saturated fat is even worse.
After watching the video and being familiar with nearly all the studies cited in the video, Jeff also failed to mention that the majority of studies he cites were funded by the American Egg Board, a marketing arm of the U.S. egg industry which pays for research and screens the findings and research methods prior to publication.
Saturated fat is needed by the body for hormone production and brain health. The types in eggs and grass fed beef are fine it just doesn't need to be more than 1/3 to 1/2 your total fat intake.
Very glad to see someone reasonable who has a reasonable understanding of the totality of the research in the comments. It's definitely unfortunate to see Jeff giving such bad advice, but it happens.
@@TheVeganHeathen you guys are still wrong, though.
I've got low cholesterol while eating eggs daily. In fact all my blood tests always attest myself near perfect health.
And I eat red meat about twice a week, additional to chicken also about twice a week.
While my wife has high cholesterol and is regularly low on iron and B vitamins (takes vitamin b supplements). She's vegan. Being vegan doesn't make you healthy.
It's about time people stop with all that nutrition advice and accept that there are great individual differences.
Those studies in recent years that showed that different people would thrive on different foods.
Person A might struggle with the stuff that person B is eating and the other way around.
It makes perfect sense in terms of evolution. Lots of individual differences in the individuals of the population means greater chance of survival for the species. There'd always be some individuals in the population that could thrive, no matter where we went and what foods were available in those places.
People telling you that meat or eggs are bad for your health are psychopaths that want you sick and weak! Don't listen to them! Keep eating real food 💪
