We just finished our second full week of in person teaching. We have to wear masks all day with breaks given throughout the day. Lots of cleaning and sanitizing happening. In my library we have to quarantine the books for 3 days before checking them in. I have a return bin for each day of the week. Students must sanitize their hands before browsing for books and we are encouraging browsing with our eyes as much as possible. So far it’s working really well and the kids are doing awesome.
I still have about two years before I graduate Elementary Ed but I'm trying to soak as much in as I can by watching your videos. Everything looks great so far!
This is so exciting for me to watch. I’m going to be going to college soon to start paving my way towards my teaching career! I still have lots to learn, but it’s very exciting watching teachers set up their rooms!!
Love how your room is coming together. Oh girly I can relate. Michigan has been super hot and my school doesn't have AC either. We had a few PD's along with setting up the classrooms this week. We still have about two weeks before the kiddos start so I do hope it cools off before they start. I know that you will be amazing this year even with all the unknowns.

Your classroom looks amazing! Love the "Be a Leader" set up and cannot wait to print out that resource from your TPT! Famous/Influential People is actually our first social studies lesson in 2nd grade so I can't wait to dedicate a wall to them and then when the students come back to the classroom they'll be (hopefully) like "OMG!! Any advice to aspiring teachers? I’m entering my master’s program on Monday that will be for the next 3 years! I’m nervous but super excited because I know in my heart I’m meant to teach❤️

Also, could you share the link to the magnetic hooks you used to hang the fairy lights on your white board? Thank you so much!
Hey, Kim!! Loving your room!! Two things with the front of the room: Are you really going to use the projector screen in the corner with the projector in front of it, or will you have tech move the projector to in front of the whiteboard? Also, are you still intending on putting the black better than paper wallpaper all around the front of the whiteboard like you did last year? I just loved seeing a black front wall from your old room! Lol 🤣
It was moved! I put in a request but they hadn’t moved it yet in this vlog. 😊 And no, I never planned on putting the Black paper up in this classroom because the wall is white anyways (versus the bright blue in my old classroom). I’ll keep the black paper in case I need it again someday, though! 😊
I saw on tiktok this one laminating hack where they stick all the laminating sheets with painter’s tape so the sheets are continuous! I wonder if that works haha

I've seen so many teachers with Mother Teresa posters in their classrooms and I wish it was more common and known how awful of a person she was, definitely not someone children should be looking up to.
