I have some issues with a couple of Galloway´s stances and some things he´s done, but along with Jeremy Corbyn he´s one of the few pro-peace politicians in the UK. Yes, he has character flaws, as do we all, but I´d rather have someone like Galloway than some nice Libdem who smiles politely as he privatises all your services.
Four minutes in. Have yet to hear anything other than ridicule of George. No mention of the fact that George is calling out the genocide going on in Gaza. Is Private Eye? No mention of the Workers Party's policies. Just a lot of superficial nonsense from people deluding themselves that they are somehow witty and amusing.
Whilst Galloway has his faults - he has been consistently anti war and is calling out what is really going on in both Ukraine and Gaza - which Private Eye seems to be oblivious to. All you get from this a sneering liberal media critique of him - which really doesn't add up.
This critique is based on the facts of his past behaviour. Seems reasonable to me. And you seem to hint at something 'really going on' in Ukraine: what, Putin didn't really invade? Ukraine is currently on Russian soil killing babies at cancer hospitals, eh?
Apart from the ridicule, he’s one of the most erudite and articulate politicians we’ve had. Incredibly strong political figure and able to maintain quite an ethical track record.
