@@laoch5658 Have you actually watched the games then? Have you looked at when Guehi played for england, compared to when dunk played for england? Guehi has so much quality. And he has rightfully made the provisional squad now anyways
Pickford - Walker, Stones, Gomez - TAA, Rice, Gallagher, Foden - Saka, Kane, Bellingham I'll admit, the system and tactics - everything surpassing the formation in importance - would have yad to be trained. It's too late now. I would have taken Grealish into the squad, simply because he plays naturally on the left and I despise Rashford's form and unwillingness to take responsibility in his club. Thus, Grealish could have freed up Foden for that F9/10 role partnering Kane. This team would work the right side of the field like Leverkusen does until there's a sudden opening for the left side.
I’d be putting foden and Bellingham in midfield together. Foden’s industry in midfield has been increasing throughout the entire season and he’s even been defending as the midfielder next to Rodri in a 4-4-2 defensive shape. Bellingham has more of an engine than KDB at this point as well. I believe it can work, but obviously I heavily doubt Southgate would try it.
I would put to you that Foden has had a better second half of the season than Bellingham in the 10 position. Bellingham started the season very very well but has tailed off rather in recent months. I also suspect Bellingham may be rather tired, Saka too, so i would bring Sancho as he can play anywhere along the front three (and he is very good and fresh as a daisy)

I think Cowlill would be better than Branthwaite solely because he can also play LB. Also, I think Guehi has a solid chance to start ahead of Maguire. And last, I would def take sterling over Rashford, both had trash seasons but Sterling has a lot of experience in this type of tournaments and much like Henderson, I think he can be a valuable asset for the squad, maybe even drop Henderson for Wharton since sterling would be covering that "experienced" player role
I have thought for some years now...especially as a Spurs fan, that there are characteristic similarities between Southgate and Poch. Both have built sides with youth at its centre. I believe this is due to the fact that young players have little to no idea of these managers history AS managers. Young players will be aware that Southgate was an England Semi-Finalist....very impressive to young players....and Poch has built an excellent Tottenham team and managed PSG with all their status and stars. However, older players will have lived through times where Southgate was mediocre to ok for Middlesborough and aware that Poch, although being a vg player for Argentinna, he has never truly won anything of note. I like both as people and love what Poch did for Tottenham, but feel both rely on youth as it automatically gives them a respect that older, more cynical players aren't prepared to give. Pep could pick any player in the world, regardless of reputation (Such as the overrated Mbappi etc) and he commands respect for his unrivaled achievements.
It amazes me how little brit’s watch Jude😂 dude is the most complete midfielder itw he’s probably Madrid’s second hardest worker defensively. He can play the 8 with foden and rice, bffr
I love the optimism, but France are so clearly the most elite squad it's almost insulting to suggest the English are comparable. No doubt this is the best English squad in a while but that doesn't mean they are close to the French.
I'm french and I disagree. We have many great center backs, but almost all of them except Saliba are in bad form. At right back we only have Koundé and he's not at his best either. We still rely on Giroud as a striker, and even though he's a legend, he's old, slow and doesn't score as much as he used to. And finally, beyond Camavinga and Tchouaméni, our midfield is made of good but not great players. Except if you count Griezmann as midfielder, which he kind of is. But it's true that Griezmann and Mbappé are so good that it completely changes a team. But you have Kane, Foden, Bellingham, Saka and Palmer who all scored a ton of goals this season.
@hugolouessard3914 Man, I guess you aren't aware of how good Pavard is performing as of now, he should 100% be a starter for the French team. And for the rest I agree with you but you gotta consider tge negative aspect of having a coach like Southgate
@@Ma1k. Yeah, forgot Pavard. But the thing is that he's really used to play in a back 3 and has never performed as CB with France, so it's difficult to trust him 100% but I'd love to see Pavard-Saliba as a pair of CBs.
I think it's crazy that Bowen, one of the best forwards in the league this season, still doesn't look like he'll make the team, I know it's for a good reason, still
Just pointing out that Rice played as the sole 6 in Arsenal’s - 6-0 win against west ham - 0-5 win at burnley - 5-0 win against Palace - 3-1 win against man utd - 2-0 win against brighton
The best england 26 man squad (idk how many are allowed tbh) Starting 11 GK. Pickford RB.Walker CB.Branthwaite CB. Stones LB. Livermento CDM. Rice CM. Palmer CM. Bellingham RW. Saka LW. Foden ST. Kane This team lacks a little defensively icl. But that 11 is really strong especially upfront 15 extras 1. Trafford 2. Dean Henderson 3. Konsa 4. Tomori 5. Smalling (trust me on this) 6. Mainoo 7. Elliot 8. Barkley 9. Eze 10. Gordon 11. Bowen 12. Toney 13. Watkins 14. Olise (Maybe try and drag him away from the French national team as dechamps doesn't seen to want to call him up despite his immense performances) 15. Trent (can play RB, CM, RW) but would probably be deployed at RB in the case of a walker injury or CM if there's alot of injuries This squad would play very strong in a 4-1-4-1 with a high line rice can also play higher like he does for arsenal. Here's the issue, it would probably require stones to take up his role, the LB and RB to stay wide and the GK to be good with their feet. Pickford might not fit this aswell as a ramsdale and it also limits the sheer talent of livermento and walker on overlaps. So a 4-3-3 would still work in this team allowing for rice to go up bellingham sits deep. The fullbacks to overlap.
@politicallyincorrect2564 foden on RW. And if not livermento then Mitchell is the next best choice behind shaw. Chilwell was dog shit last set of International games
I do find it a bit baffling that Joe Gomez appears to just be accepted as national team quality. Clearly not good enough to be first choice at Liverpool, behind quansah (probably should've had a mention alongside Elliot and Jones as not going) but he's not good enough as a right back, behind Trent and Bradley and he's not a very good left back. Timo liveramento is better at everything than him and would be my pick for left back. Alternatively, and I accept it's probably a bit late to bring in but still, Samuel Iling-Junior is the starting left back for juventus in the Copa Italia final, plays for Englands u21's, scoring twice in their last game, he's 20 years old and certainly looks like the future England LB. I assume the reason is the same reason tomori has consistently been left out of contention... Southgate just hates players with black s.... Stripes on their shirts....
sam was great against bologna aswell. He's technical and adds also athleticism and great in 1v1. he can also play as winger too. the next alphonso davies, but more skillful
I think I'd take Wharton instead of Rashford/Grealish, Mitchell instead of Chilwell, Guehi instead of Konsa and Solanke instead of Toney. Mitchell is probably the only one of those that affects the starting xi though. And personally I'd play the premier league's best english left back this season, Joe Gomez, ahead of him. Henderson on form has no place as one of England's best 26 players, but thats not what a tournament squad is, and i think you're vastly overestimating how much Southgate or anyone in the England setup cares about the saudi misadventure. Leadership will be important, and this is still a very young squad missing some leaders. In an absolutely ideal world I'd play john stones next to rice in midfield and play the other world class english cb in defence. Unfortunately, Stones is the only one.
Grealish can’t get in his club side on a regular basis so he must be good enough for England. As for Maguire, you can’t think of any better players than him????
Recently i've had the opinion thay we should actuakly switch to a 3-2-4-1 formation instead of the 4-2-3-1. You can have Walker and Shaw be FBs and Dunk/Stones be the CB. If you have Rice/Mainoo and Alexander-Arnold be DMs then they can both play to their offensive strengths while also , when needed, merging with the defence to create a 5 man wall. In midfield I'd have Foden, Maddison, Bellingham and Saka/Bowen from LW to RW respectively. The two AMs in particular can link up with the single striker (Kane/Toney) and form an attacking triangle or one AM can serve as a SS if needs be
I've also spent €500 on tickets to the round of 16, should England top the group. I go from being excited to fits of dread over how much I'm paying to watch one game.

but was gareth southgate linked to the death of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and several others after their helicopter crashed in northwestern Iran due to weather conditions ?
No Chilwell, Tripper, Maguire, or Madison for me. Out with Old guard, and in with the youth . I prefer Gordon on left wing to Rashford, who I would take as a potential super sub, and Foden alongside Bellingham and TAA in midfield. I would consider partnering Wharton partnering Rice in defensive midfield against top counter- attacking teams, as this is an area where England often get over - run.
Doughty is better than Mitchell. His stats have been unbelievable. Anyone who plays FPL will know how important he’s been for Luton this season. And Ramsdale has been picked for a tournament despite relegation, so Doughty could be too.

@@laoch5658Watch football please
@@laoch5658 Have you actually watched the games then? Have you looked at when Guehi played for england, compared to when dunk played for england? Guehi has so much quality. And he has rightfully made the provisional squad now anyways
Pickford - Walker, Stones, Gomez - TAA, Rice, Gallagher, Foden - Saka, Kane, Bellingham
I'll admit, the system and tactics - everything surpassing the formation in importance - would have yad to be trained.
Fuck me but if hendo goes then the hell with it
Adam Wharton is a must
Can you do a video about Willem van Hanegem (imo maybe the most underrated player ever)
Personally I’d invent time travel and stop Antonee Robinson declaring for the USA, but Mitchell is a good left back choice too.
Cole Palmer needs to start
This Jude PR is crazy, man stunk the pitch in 4 knockout appearances vs Bayern and City but is somehow the best number 10 🤣🤣🤣
@stevefrench3640I think it’s more of foden suffering from his flexibility.
Foden shouldn't start in my opinion. He is not a big game player, looks good due to system he plays at city . Rashford on the other hand has experience he has shown what he can do in last season. Palmer should start as a 10. Play foden when saka is tired, this solves all the problems.

@@Karl_00097 ok take it easy rashford better
@@Karl_00097 go easy on the drugs brother
toney has been shocking same with trippier
No Ollie Watkins or Ivan Toney please. Foden or Palmer can play up front if needs be. Take Eze too.
I hope you're gonna have a great time in Düsseldorf! Lots of great Japanese food there 😊
It amazes me how little brit’s watch Jude😂 dude is the most complete midfielder itw he’s probably Madrid’s second hardest worker defensively.
There was a lot of optimism before 2022 too. The Iran game fuelled it and then the USA took it all away.
@@Ma1k. Yeah, forgot Pavard. But the thing is that he's really used to play in a back 3 and has never performed as CB with France, so it's difficult to trust him 100% but I'd love to see Pavard-Saliba as a pair of CBs.
i would have thought maddison might come on for Bellingham or rice at times to keep the creativity in the midfield high
Lmfaoooo... I told someone England might finish second in their group... But he argued with me, refusing 😂
Since his return to BVB, Sancho SHOULD be above Grealish, Rashford and Gordon.
Gordon no, the other two yes
I think it's crazy that Bowen, one of the best forwards in the league this season, still doesn't look like he'll make the team, I know it's for a good reason, still
Just pointing out that Rice played as the sole 6 in Arsenal’s
- 6-0 win against west ham
- 0-5 win at burnley
- 5-0 win against Palace
- 3-1 win against man utd
- 2-0 win against brighton
Sounds like it works against weaker teams but would likely want someone alongside/behind him against better sides.
I know you joke, but why couldn't Southgate field 3 goalies? You can play as many forwards as you want
What would a HITC Sevens video be without a Freddy Adu joke... It's tradition at this point🤣
The best england 26 man squad (idk how many are allowed tbh)
Starting 11
GK. Pickford
RB.Walker
CB.Branthwaite
CB. Stones
LB. Livermento
CDM. Rice
CM. Palmer
CM. Bellingham
RW. Saka
LW. Foden
ST. Kane
This team lacks a little defensively icl.
But that 11 is really strong especially upfront
15 extras
1. Trafford
2. Dean Henderson
3. Konsa
4. Tomori
5. Smalling (trust me on this)
6. Mainoo
7. Elliot
8. Barkley
9. Eze
10. Gordon
11. Bowen
12. Toney
13. Watkins
14. Olise
(Maybe try and drag him away from the French national team as dechamps doesn't seen to want to call him up despite his immense performances)
15. Trent (can play RB, CM, RW) but would probably be deployed at RB in the case of a walker injury or CM if there's alot of injuries
This squad would play very strong in a 4-1-4-1 with a high line rice can also play higher like he does for arsenal.
Livramento is injured and Saka is twice in your starting 11
Saka playing on both wings simultaneously? I know the lad has an engine but he's gonna be knackered by the end of the tournament 🤣
@@Simian-bz7zo meant to do foden oops
@politicallyincorrect2564 foden on RW. And if not livermento then Mitchell is the next best choice behind shaw.
Chilwell was dog shit last set of International games
HITC video in 8 weeks “Sorry, we need to talk about England and Euro24”. Followed by “Sorry, but we need to talk about Gareth Southgate”.
Please make top 7 players in every position series
Joe Gomez? You mention him but he’s not on the printed list. Plus, Chilwell is also injury prone.
Currently at Southgate’s picks in the video - better have picked Butland to go in your own selections!
Gomez was Liverpool's first choice LB most of the season, even when Robbo was fit
sam was great against bologna aswell. He's technical and adds also athleticism and great in 1v1. he can also play as winger too. the next alphonso davies, but more skillful
HOW MUCH OLIVE OIL DO YOU USE???
James Ward-Prowse should be in the squad for mainoo
Southgate very good at selling pizzas
The two AMs in particular can link up with the single striker (Kane/Toney) and form an attacking triangle or one AM can serve as a SS if needs be
Im taking Bowen over Rashford
Fodun on right and get him and Bellingham to interchange. This would have 2 great players confusing defences.
My team
Pickford GK
Trent RB
Stones RCB
Tomori LCB
Joe Gomez LB
Rice RDM
Bellingham LDM
Saka RAM
Palmer CAM
Foden LAM
Kane ST
No mention of Ben White?
Maguire nailed on 😅 if not injured
I've also spent €500 on tickets to the round of 16, should England top the group. I go from being excited to fits of dread over how much I'm paying to watch one game.
Here’s my squad:
Pickford
N. Pope
D. Henderson
Trippier
K. Walker
Stones
H. Maguire
Branthwaite
Burn
Doughty
L. Hall
S. Longstaff
Maddison
Bellingham
Rice
A. Wharton
C. Gallagher
Eze
H. Kane
Bowen
Palmer
Foden
Grealish
Saka
O. Watkins
A. Gordon
Foden on bench pls rashford start
Shaws in!
PL Young player of the season, Cole Palmer not in the starting XI, why?
What about Lewis Hall at LB?
It’s a shame what’s happened with Ben chilwell as he was fantastic his first season at Chelsea and the start of his second before he started picking up these constant injuries! Spends half the time out injured these days and when he is fit which isn’t too often as you said more often than not has played pretty poorly.
I think Foden has to be nailed on after his season
I think it will be coming home... nah just kidding. But still, everything could happen
but I think Alfie now jinxed it... or Kane's curse
Why does no one give livremento credit can play RB, LB and at a push on the wing in a 3 back
Wouldn't Cole Palmer and not Ivan Toney be England's best penalty taker?
Smaller sample size, but still.
i think its more likely that saka and foden are switched out and play 50/50 - saka has been playing with an injury for a while now.
but was gareth southgate linked to the death of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and several others after their helicopter crashed in northwestern Iran due to weather conditions ?
Has anyone seen Alfie and Gareth Southgate in the same room together??? One and the same I tell you, one and the same.
If I was a international manager I would choose players based on how they play for England I would take toney over watkins
Chilwell also a big injury doubt.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Philogene
Alfie mate are you just going to ignore how Eze has been quality this season or?
No Chilwell, Tripper, Maguire, or Madison for me.
Out with Old guard, and in with the youth .
I prefer Gordon on left wing to Rashford, who I would take as a potential super sub, and Foden alongside Bellingham and TAA in midfield.
I would consider partnering Wharton partnering Rice in defensive midfield against top counter- attacking teams, as this is an area where England often get over - run.
Maddison ain't even "old guard" wth u mean
@nok9979 I was referring to the defence actually.
Doughty is better than Mitchell. His stats have been unbelievable. Anyone who plays FPL will know how important he’s been for Luton this season. And Ramsdale has been picked for a tournament despite relegation, so Doughty could be too.
