      They amost won the league with Brendan Rodgers the year before, so it wasn't all that bad. What he did at Dortmund was way more impressive.

      @@nicholasm788the squad was probably in the top3 of worst LFC squads I’ve seen since supporting them since 1984. Suarez and studge were the reason Rodgers got close to the title. By the time klopp came we’d lost Suarez studge was constantly injured so his best striking option was origi our defence was terrible and migs was below what we needed as a keeper yet klopp still made the Europa League final. His achievements at Liverpool were more impressive than at dortmund imo considering how how dominant city have been

    The remarkable rise of Stade Lausanne Ouchy in Switzerland. The club played in the 5th tier of Swiss football a few years ago. Now they are in the first Division, the Swiss Super League and they don`t have a stadium. Also fans are quite rare: to be honest they have one single fan during there away games.

    Always admired Milner, ultimate team player, had an engine that never quit, scored 30 penalties including 9 in a row at the end of LFC career. Remember him playing full back. Couldn’t have liked that, but did it because the team needed him to.

      Still playing for Brighton at age 38. My first Liverpool shirt has Milner’s name and number. Loved seeing him put in a solid shift and killing off a match, even though he almost always got a yellow card.

    Alfie you don’t miss very often, but Origi is 100% a Liverpool legend. We don’t win the champions league without him and he was always there to beat Everton for us in the derby. He absolutely qualifies as a club legend

    In fairness if it wasn't for Man City and their insane consistency Klopp would have won a whole lot more than he has at Liverpool i mean Liverpool finished runners up with 98 points at one stage which is a crazy total and would have been enough to win the league every other season but that one there's really not much else you can do in that sort of situation

      Lucas leiva arrived from Brazil with player of season which was won by the likes kaka neymar romario when he was 17-18 and was attacking midfielder but then he became a defensive midfielder that absolutely destroyed yaya toure in a game when he was in prime

    Love Lallana, he was the perfect Klopp player. His combination of energy, technique, and intelligence was pretty rare, and very much not the usual English player. That turn and pass v Arsenal, that long ranger v City, that pressing goal he made v swansea i think. 2015-2017 Lallana was awesome

      Normally players' nationality is a bit of a reductive way to think about them, but Lallana really was the perfect combination of English and Spanish football encapsulated in one man. Super fond memories of his time at Anfield.

    Something that wasn't mentioned in this video is Klopp within the season of appointment alone immediately took this rather bad squad with him to two grand finals: League Cup and Europa League. Quite a feat considering how leaky our defense has been with so many problems back then. And people like Firmino, Hendo and Milner has witnessed it all, long enough to win all the trophies Klopp has won.

      @@in4mus85 Firmino and Henderson went to Saudi. Meanwhile, Milner is still in England, but at BHA (which means he's teammates with Lallana again). Which is nowhere near as bad as Saudi "Pro" League. If the Saudi league is professional, I'm Father Christmas. It's especially horrible with Hendo, who had deemed himself a champion of LGBT rights. Then he went to Saudi Arabia, a country where being LGBT is literally illegal. WTF is wrong with you, Jordan.

    Props to Jerome Sinclair; took as many contracts as he could until it was clear to teams he wasn't worth it based on promise a decade ago/the drop down wasn't worth it then invested it in a chicken shop, however much I can hear the Uncle Ruckus music it's a lot smarter than most footballers tend to be with money

    Don't know if it's been mentioned in the comments, but Jordon Ibe has been suffering with severe mental health issues and probably explains his lack of playing time over the last few years, so it's a shame, as he showed real promise at Liverpool, but obviously I'm sure anyone would be wishing him well with his personal problems.

    As a Palace supporter, I’d say Clyney is a really solid option off the bench, and at this point I think he’s a little better than Wardy (nor disrespect to him tho, club legend). But we desperately need a solid starting right back, we haven’t truly had one since AWB went to United. A lot of the fans (myself included) really wanna see Chris Richards get a chance in that position, but Roy is Roy so who knows if that’ll happen. Richards did play defensive midfield the other day tho, Roy’s favorite position by far haha.

    For me he’s our second best manager ever behind Paisley. Shankly is obviously the godfather yet what Klopp has done for our club is astounding. Everything from the back room staff, the respect shown to everyone from the cleaner to the training staff and bringing us the title after 3 decades is astounding. 👑

    That final against Sevilla was played at FC Basel's Stadium (St.Jakob Park). If you don't know about FC Basel, this club has been crumbling from one of the most successful club in the country to on verge of going down to the second tier of the Swiss Super League! This wasn't a big improvement for the club that qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 on three occasions and even reached the Conference League semifinal the last season.

    Was Milner surplus to requirements at Man City? I seem to remember them trying to get him to renew his contract on increased wages but he left because he wanted to play CM.

      I think so! City at that time almost always played some kind of 4-4-2 with Yaya in the middle, next to a hard tackling dude that rarely touched the ball. David Silva played down the left and Nasri down the right, sometimes it was Jesus Navas and Milner was the utility bench guy who could play all those positions. Sergio Aguero was always partnered with some tall guy, it was Dzeko, then Jovetic, then Negredo!

      Feel bad for Coutinho as a Liverpool fan, didnt want him to leave but the money we got from him got us Alli and Virg and arguably the CL and PL, so fair play. He was horribly misused and miscoached at Barca but understandable as there's this entity there called Lionel Messi. Was happy for him when he went to Bayern and beat Barca to win CL.

    mignolet never got to play with van dijk. he always played behind sakho, skrtel or lovren. he wasn't bad, he just had no confidence because of the poor defence in front of him

    I don't know of any LFC supporter who thought Mignolet was bad. Good keeper, made a mistake but still good though :) For Martin Skrtel, he actually made a promise to his childhood team to play for them. So that's nice.

      Hasn't Forest Green Rovers been "Woke" since Vince took over in 2010?
      And quite honestly; if he hasn't taken over, they would still be in Non-League to be fair...

      @@MrSmith1984 I aggree they are much better off since the take over. But since Rob Edwards left things havent been great. There may be something to the argument that the clubs philosophy might be stopping them from recruiting from a larger talent pool.

      @@MrSmith1984 that could be a huge factor. I just feel there doesnt seem to be a long term plan football wise at the club. Only giving Hannah Dingley 2 weeks in charge also didnt help. It feels like people are starting to use the results to make political points now.

      From what I could see (I find the sacking of Dignley to be strange considering Vince's previous comments about her), I suspect all this has happened because Vince probably believes he's taken FGR as far as he could (considering his financial resources)...and has either lost interest or doesn't know where to go from here.
      I would say that he would be wise to sell the club to someone who can take them to the next level. The issue is, who would be interested?

    Mad that Jordan Ibe couldnt get games in the Turkish 2nd division or for Derby. He was premier league player. He really should be getting games at lower division clubs. Something must be wrong with him mentally &/or physically that he has fallen so far.

      There stadium has been destroyed yesterday again (was destroyed in 2006, parts in 2012) and FIFA actually funded the rebuild in 2019 but still play most games in Lebanon because of apartheid and Israel in control of clean water, electricity, and dosent allow aid or people into Gaza majority of time. But I don't really know much about the team at all so be interesting to find out
