It's amazing to see how the crew is very happy doing their job, knowing that they are being overworked since the expansion after the pandemic. That's why Emirates is planning to hire 3,000 new cabin crew members
They aren't happy tf? You really think those faces are genuine? It's a part of the job policy to smile and act friendly or else you get fired
I've flown Qatar and Emirates from the same route (DXB-BUD), and it's safe to say that both are great airlines with their variable qualities. I'd also say that a big variable would also be if you're transiting! I always chose Qatar because Hamad Airport is a STUNNING airport to transit it.
Somehow Qatar's staff isn't much helpful to be honest. Emirates staff is very helpful,humble,kind

My dad flew emirates economy (pre-covid. Fall 2019) when he went to Oman and said it was such a great flight, good food, and great respectable vibes. Nice to see what they're currently doing atm
That was an insane review! Very very well done! I went to Dubai last week on their Airbus A380, EK128 Vienna-Dubai. I really have to say that this Economy Class flight was the BEST flight I've ever had. There is just so much space in the 380, especially for passengers seated at the window seat. The 380 is silent, comfortable and the seats are just perfect. What I love about Emirates is the crew. Everybody was so friendly, helpful and they even made pictures of passengers, what a nice touch. Also the dining experience was great, all very frech and delicious. It's funny that you mentioned the different crew nationalities on your previous EK flight because on my flight back to Vienna, the crew was from 18 different nationalities as well. That's amazing. I'm used to Austrian, Swiss, SAS, Lufthansa and China Airlines Economy Class and they are pretty good as well but Emirates is like the king.
Dan, I haven't watched your videos since the pandemic started (because I was too sad about not being able to fly), but your storytelling and editing in the newest videos are next level. Well done!
PS. I'm finally flying again next month and I'll take Emirates 777-300 ER and 380 next month. I cannot wait.

Flew Emirates on the way back from Riyadh, the crew is MUCH friendlier and happier than either QR or Saudia. One thing...I'm starting to understand your raving about Qsuite...when walking past first class to my business class seat, I couldn't help think that Qsuite truly is comparable to first class with its pods 👍🏾

I flew with emirates 6 months ago from GRU - DBX and then DBX-TPE and I 100% agree with what you said in this video! I want to make an addition from my experience and it is how chill are the pilots from Emirates. And btw if the fly has a lot of empty seats the cabin crew just let you change seats, I had an entiry row of seats ondly for me lol and also they gave me snacks from business class, fliying with Emirates indeed it’s an experience

The back twin seaters in economy on Emirates are reserved for crew on long haul flights
Used to fly on Emirates yearly, (BOS - DXB, DXB - HRE via LUN and back to Boston), Leg-space was (not that great, but hey, it’s a start), Seating was pretty comfortable, I really liked the headrest, and enjoyed the ICE Entertainment System, the Shading, the moonlighting, was pretty decent. Awesome report, mate :)
Good review! We flew with Emirates twice this month in economy (AMS-DXB and back). Legroom was good and the inflight entertainment system was very enjoyable.

I do hope you consider trying Etihad again. They have improved from their 2019 cost cutting. I flew with them 4 times this summer, all 4 flights were ULR, and they brought back their amenity pouches and the catering has improved. No more snacks for sale and instead they provided a starter salad, dessert, bread, and butter for each proper hot meal service.
Will hopefully be able to try them sometime soon!
what Etihad should have done from the outset is created a Premium Economy cabin from the time they went on a massive spending spree and bought up the A380's...They would would have definitely differentiated themselves from the other middle eastern carriers, and given passengers the opportunity to sepnd a little more on comfort & amenity, which would have drawn in passengers who didn't have the $$ to spend up on Business but could have afforded to spend a little extra Premium Economy. Especially on flights that are beyond 9 hrs. Now if they adopt a Premium Economy cabin it will look like they are playing catchup to Emirates.

You got lucky with the cabin on this flight. I've flown the Warsaw/Dubai route a number of times, most recently November last year, and have always had their older cabin, with smaller screens, the old style IFE remote, and tray table that on the 2 abreast seats in the back actually rests on the armrest at angle so isn't usable (fortunately there's a second table in the armrest).
I got the feeling that the lack of Lemon-Mint for Qatar is the deal breaker for flying Economy with them :P (I bet on Emirates to be crowned the champion - But I will wait till next week for Turkish!)

I flew on emirates last Tuesday from Dubai back to the United States. My first time and it was the best Airline I ever been on in my Life 💯
During one of the Lufthansa strikes a couple of years ago, LH reissued my ticket on Emirates (BLR-DXB-BOS). 18 hours (I'm 6'4") in middle seats (no advance seat selection since the ticket was still issued by Lufthansa) basically made me swear off Star Alliance and Emirates in one go.
Flew emirates from Washington DC back in 2019 economy and it was such an uncomfortable flight the seats were horrible they caused big time knee pain for me and my elderly mother. This was a first! I had also paid extra for premium economy but the hostesses were moving passengers around without a charge... didn't sleep at all. Just watched your Qatar Econ review I think we'll try that next time. It looks like it has more leg room!

While I was watching your video regarding this Emirates flight, I just suddenly felt a huge excitement on flying with this airline again soon. Can't wait for my next flight and I'll definitely fly EK, and by the way as an enthusiast and AVgeek, I'm giving 10 points vote for Emirates' Economy class against TK and QR who will be receiving 7.5 and 8 respectively
You should do perhaps Asia's economy class carriers, e.g. CAL, SQ, AAR, JAL etc. I think they would be a very interesting comparison!
My ranking for them is:
1. Singapore Airlines
2. Cathay Pacific
3. Malaysia Airlines
4. Thai Airways
(never tried JAL or ANA)
I absolutely love Emirates! I have flown in all 4 classes and it’s Economy is by far one of the most “fancy”. Also I never had a bad experience with crew.

To be honest you were lucky to get a row to yourself on one of these things. I've done a chunk of ultra long haul (11 hr and over) on EK's 777-300 and the seats are pretty narrow. Having said that they still deliver a fantastic product and QR has the same issue (10-abreast). Great idea with the seat-selection-hopping too.

My wife, kids and I are flying out to Dubai from England on a 777-er and this economy review sold it for us. We were considering driving to Heathrow for an a380 flight but the extra 200/person it would have cost was extortionate! Any tips on what seats to go for whilst having a one year old and four year old. Assuming a 3 would work best?

I've flown through Emirates last week from Pakistan to UAE and my experience was amazing and the facilities also much better than many airlines.
I just love their service and meal too 😅
Same I also flew more Karachi to abu dhabi really nice facilities food was a OK the seats were very comfortable
The Economy Class Cabin in this video is not the only 777 Cabin Emirates has. They have several more which differ highly from this modern cabin. Emirates 777s with Registrations A6-EBA to A6-ECZ for example still have a very old configuration which has not been updated since 2005. Some of them are already retired but many are still flying. Then you have 777s with the registrations A6-EGA to A6-EGZ which have the same screens as Qatar or Turkish in Economy. Followed by A6-ENA to A6-ENZ which have slightly more modern screens. The config you see in the video is only available on 777s with registrations A6-EPA to A6-EQP. So you have to be lucky to fly in the new config which definitely is superior to those on Qatar or Turkish but if you're unlucky, the experience might be even much worse than on Qatar or Turkish.

Dan, I also flew this year with both Emirates (DXB-CGK) and Qatar Airways (DOH-SEA), in both cases with 777, economy. But my experience is opposite than yours.
- The Emirates airplane was older, the entertainment system outdated and with a small unresponsive screen, the chair was not in the best condition.
- The Qatar Airways airplane was newer, big screen, modern and user-friendly entertainment system, no defects.
I guess the experience really depends on the airplane often (if we exclude customer service which is really good on both, although I would give an edge to Qatar Airways even thinking about details). Best would be to compare exact same airplane, same year. But I understand that it's not always easy to choose that.
I also flew with Turkish Airlines (IST-TAS), but it was an A330, so can't compare.
Also depends on the flight route. More popular routes would have Emirates using the new aircraft with updated cabins

Given my recent Biz experience on Turkish I would forecast them to come in a solid last place!
Emirates over the top economy here, reminded me of air jamaica for it's time, during it's time. It wouldn't matter how short or what time the flight was, you would full meals and champagne in economy. And on top of that, the services were always good. These were the days when people used to clap 👏 when the plane landed, lol.

Well be careful when using VPN for facetime and whatsapp calls in UAE cuz a new rule was out last month stating that you can end up with a fines from 50k AED. Im not 100% sure about it but ive read it in a newspaper.

@dan, about a long walk at Dubai airport. I boarded Emirates A380 from London Heathrow to Dubai and reached Dubai at 4 o'clock in the morning. I inquired about my connecting flight and the attendant said, You have to hurry , the departure gate is at a long walk. I swear it was the best walk to explore the Dubai airport, so quite as If the airport structure was talking to you with all its grandeur.

I searched for hours and finally you uploaded.
I know that when I was little a flight assistant named Claire made a photo of me on board. I still have it. The magic is especially there if you approach Dubai at night. They should be called "world's favourite airline".

I think that the flights to and from Europe are just too short to truly experience the full service of the premium Gulf carriers. I'd like to see you do more reviews on their ultra-long-haul flights to and from North America. I'd like to see how the experience, in any cabin, is like on the 16-hour flight between Dubai and LAX.
I'll never do a flight that long in economy if I can help it! I'd rather slip the trip up and do small 5-6 hours legs until I get there😂

I had a great experience flying Emirates numerous times between Johannesburg (South Africa) and Dubai. The crew are so friendly and love the meal on board. Haha 😅 was fortunate to find three empty seats that i converted into my own business class suite 😂
I flew the newer 777-300ER from Dubai to Delhi on A6-EPJ with my mom last month. My dad has been on A6-EPB (Same flight to Delhi) and this exact A6-EPQ from Chennai to Dubai in early December.
The seat is nice but although its identical to the A380 the thing is it feels a little more tighter.
