Steelers are screwed when they need Fields to make real QB throws.. we’ve seen it every year with the far better version of Fields in Lamar Jackson. You can get by with a good defense and coaching with Fields. But in big games, he will squander miserably. Lamar is way better than Fields, with elite teams and coaching around him, and has failed every season because he can’t throw like a top tier QB.
Tough loss, however, I'm still optimistic. The steelers played about as bad as you can in the first half, injuries didn't help but every team is dealing with them. Fields showed he can wheel and deal even from 3 possessions behind. The fumbles were costly, but if the Steelers get a solid performance from the defense like weeks 1-3 and Fields gets the opportunity to ball out like that second half, the Steelers are a legitimate contender.

As a Steelers fan, Joe Flacco came out of the gate after not playing a snap since last year. And looked amazing. The Browns are so dumb for not keeping him around. I'm happy about it actually. But that was so stupid I don't know if they were just trying to not hurt DeShaun Watson's feelings or something? They wanted to avoid a QB controversy. But that was a very very stupid mistake. As a long time Steelers fan, I'm not worried. It was a really bad game, but one that cam be bounced back from. My expectation is and always will be is to be above .500 and go further into the playoffs than you did before. I haven't seen enough yet to change that for me.

Not having Jaylen Warren and losing James Daniels was the moment we lost the game, it wasn’t like Steelers is a fraudulent team, Steelers offense had miscues that can be quickly fixed. Pickens fumble should be fixed, minkah’s call was a game changing moment, everything went in colt’s favor, and Steelers just had a bad game. If Steelers plays again with James Daniels and Jaylen Warren, they definitely beat the colts
