      I doubt it , Dubov is already 25 and has probably reached his peek rating by now . Alireza is young and extremely talented , he is extremely strong tactically but not good enough positionally to beat Magnus. Many GMI are of the opinion that the next world champion will be a player who is in his 12 right now , so a player from the next generation as nobody can compete with him with the format of the world championship in the current generation Occasionally Dubov and Firouza can Wim a few rapid games against MC but not a remote chance in classic .

    You’d think that Magnus would stop making mouse slips by activating the verification button in the options menu, at least in major online games. Why use the drag and drop feature versus clicking on the pieces and then their destination squares? It’s disappointing that mouse slips are so common.

    • @arkopravosarkar8136

      drag and drop feature gives more feel to the game, like holding the piece and moving it to another square

    • @AP-dk9xt
      @AP-dk9xt 3 роки тому

      @@arkopravosarkar8136 : yes, true. This is partially why older people like me think that internet chess isn’t actually “real chess.” If the game of chess were invented today - as an online game only - it wouldn’t amount to anything without the physical pieces on a physical board. And, likewise for speed chess. This game has changed a lot since the beginning of the internet. Mouse slips in important games perfectly illustrate this point in my opinion. Younger people don’t agree, but the internet is all they know now. I miss “good old days” when chess was only played in person - in public cafes, chess clubs, etc. And when chess required personal interaction. A world champion couldn’t release a piece on the wrong square. Or if so, it would probably be ignored for the sake of the world audience. Sadly, “mouse slippage” perfectly illustrates the degeneration of this ancient game and subsequently chess culture as a whole.

    It's not easy to be a champion for all these great players. You have to play like a machine just like magnus.

    Tbf I was hoping for king to e2 after e4 opening. Such a missed opportunity from Magnus.

    #suggestion Naroditsky vs Hansen at the Aimchess US Rapid on Aug 30
    It features a very rare Belgrade Gambit in the 4 knights opening, and also the two players are online chess celebrities haha

    Hey Agadmator, I am a fan of your explanation and the videos you post are just awesome. However whenever I watch the video I get an ad. But not just any ad, ad on chess moves explanation just like your channel. I believe the channel name is 'Alexx Chess'. Please note that you may lose views if everyone gets the same ad and they chose the other channel.
