The Bert Jansch Foundation Tutorials - Chambertin 90s Update: part 1, the MIDI file.

This file was sent to Mel James around 1993. Mel sent it to me in 2020. Bert had helped Mel set up his own computer music system in the early 90s, and continued to provide playing tips, notation and midi files for some years.
This video is the first of a pair on this updated and shortened version of Bert's 1974 masterpiece. Many sections of the original are missing, but it offers plenty of insight into his playing technique.
Part 2 will look at the notation Bert also provided, with demonstrations of the fingering of particular passages. • The Bert Jansch Founda...
Incidentally, for those of you interested in the vintage tech, at the time he made the MIDI files, he was using a Roland U220 module for his sounds. (He labelled some staves in the notation "U220".)
