They're not biological related, they got close only because Meredith, and after years they became like a real sister and I love them for that 😭❤️

Amelia and Maggie’s relationship is so cute. before mer they had a friendship which turned into a relationship. they are proof that you don’t need to have the same blood as someone to be family

I would've loved to see them all together! Amelia and Lexie did get to meet, but sadly it was just for 2 episodes (crossover: Grey's 8x15 / Private Practice 5x15). Amelia still lived in LA, but travelled to Seattle with a patient from LA and did a tricky surgery with Derek and Lexie. Amelia and Lexie had a couple great bonding moments, and I think the best Derek & Amelia sibling moments in the whole series happen during that crossover :)
