Never put yourself down, you are very smart person, look what you creating in the garden, No garden places is perfect clean, let nature clean your garden❤ Happy Thanksgiving ❤
It’s not a waste of time because they are teaching you all about how they grow. Therefore you are learning more about the plants and that’s invaluable knowledge.
You hit the jackpot in your own yard. I would be crawling myself digging all of those babies up, free plants and a great head start! I have some eryngiums (sea holly) trust me, those seedlings will be fine, this is why they also call them blue-weeds and blue devil, they are very resilient. You can get a piece of that root and place it in the ground and it will grow, same with the seeds 😊
Very interesting video Robbie! Please try and make a Topiary from a coleus, I watched a video on it but can’t remember who did it, but you needed a nice straight stem to start and then kept pinching the top and side leaves. It was beautiful! I’ve wanted to do one since seeing it done but it was too late in the season and there were no coleus to be had up here in Canada so I’ll have to wait till spring. It would be beautiful as an indoor plant or outdoors in a group of three. I know you love topiary’s so should be up your alley 👍 Brenda 🇨🇦ZN4
I love propagation! My first time this year, Perennials In the greenhouse! Zone 8 b love to get a jump start on the weather! Come on spring!!!! Great video!
Good Morning Robbie! I’m going to listen to your video as I finish my Chocolate cream and pumpkin pies. I am in full on holiday prep/bake and cook mode! Serving 15.. All from scratch ..except the Green bean casserole!
Hi Robbie. I love how you are always laughing in your videos. You are the best. So I just planted Eurengium in my yard this summer. I live in Portland Oregon, zone 8. I thought they were a perennial for me in my zone. So they must be in yours as well, correct? They are one of my very favorite. I got my plant as a divided clump from a friend and it actually sat outside all winter last year. I had it up against my house, sort of protected. It did well this summer. As always, thank you for your great videos and making me smile every time.
I've been rooting cuttings of my coleus, impatiens, succulents, geraniums and Christmas cactus. Some I give to friends when the plants are established and I keep some for starting the spring garden. It's fun to experiment. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Brent!🦃
I have two violets that were family violets and passed down. They were gifted to me by my cousin. I’ve accidentally broken leaves off but didn’t think I could root that easy. Thank you for sharing this information. And by the way, you seem like a seriously smart young man to me. ♥️
Good morning Robbie! Using your garden math i realized since im planning to look and dig out freebie plants so far i know i have tons of foxglove! all that saved $ i used to splurge on three 90pc sets of Bsf 3.5" pots cant wait to have them here i figured on a:) i would have spent less BUT on one time use pots, and with bsf pots ill get better use of them through the seasons, thanks for the continued inspiration! big smiles from Hollister
Thanks to you I took my first coleus cuttings a few weeks ago and I now have 7 varieties sitting on the counter that are starting new roots. Best decision ever!
Well done on saving the free plants! Yay for freebies! And don’t fret over the eryngium, I dug some up & moved them, they looked a little sad for a week or two but are bouncing back now. Good luck!
Hi Robbie, could the scabies and eryngium be grown outdoors like in a cold frame? They were already in those conditions? Could you do an African violet care video? Thanks for all the tips.
Good morning Robbie!!!💙Free plants are always awesome! Hope your eurenguim grows. They do sell them bare root online. So fingers crossed. Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble til you wobble
Thanks for the images of these plants when in their flowering glory. The scabiosa is pretty! Wish it was my zone hardy. I’ve got a bunch of coleus rooting and some potted. I use the pinch tops as cute little decorative bowls around the house… if the root again pop them in a pot again.
The tap roots look like California Poppies. The roots go really deep to get the water. They don't like to be replanted. I like to experiment like this. You are only out your time, so why not. If they don't make it now you know and if they do free plants. Can't go wrong.
Hi Robbie! What coleus has large leaves? I would like to grow some because it mounds higher than sweet potato vine, but I want the look of larger leaves.
I planted eryngium from bare root and they spread all over. I pulled up a ton and I potted some. They were just fine. I think I will have extra eryngium for eons. Do African violets outgrow their pots? We bought one on a whim and have it indoors. It has flowered several times and it is getting pretty large.
I live in ( now 9b) and I would love to try to grow scabiosa but I think it’s a zone 7. I wonder if your low humidity allows you to grow them. Do you put yours in shade?
Hi Marlen, something is strange … I grow Scabiosa ‘Vivid Violet (aka Pincushion) and am up in Canada -Zone 4. It is beautiful and multiplies readily. Maybe it is the variety you are trying that is not hardy for your zone?
Hi Brenda, no worries I appreciate your feedback regardless 😊. Ok I looked it up, some websites say zone 3-7 and one said 4-9. I think the crux of it is that’s they don’t like high heat and humidity which is what I have. I always see scabiosa in my garden centers and wonder why they sell it, maybe next time I see it I’ll pick one up but I’m not optimistic
Good morning, Robbie...I have some summer berries yarrow, and some soworowii russian statice, I can share with you. Let me know if you are interested.Eastside Flower Farm in Los Molinos!
“But I am not a smart person” 😂😂 yes you are, and I love your channel! ❤
I’m in zone 8 scabiosa will stay green and flower all winter.

Lol! You make me smile every time I watch.
Using garden math finding free seedlings 🌱 gives you a negative balance. That means you have more $$$ to spend at a later date 🌼🐝
Hahahahaha❤
Love free plants....thanks for showing us how you do it.
Yea for free plants. Another great video, tons of information. Thank you Robbie.
All those free plants will take.
It's fine, everything is fine!
Lol, it's fine... my kind of gardening! Have a blessed Thanksgiving 🦃

Loved this. Propagating is a favorite activity of mine. Glad the cut flower garden provided you some starts for next season.
Robbie , I forgot to tell you my Brilliant Pink Iceberg Rose was delivered yesterday. Thanks for the discount code 🩷
I love you lol your so real. Can you do a video on planting rose seeds?

😂😂❤😂
Hi Robbie, you should plant your African violet leaves in just vermiculite. It make it easy to seperate the babies.
Thanks to you I took my first coleus cuttings a few weeks ago and I now have 7 varieties sitting on the counter that are starting new roots. Best decision ever!
Great use of resources Robbie, gotta love new plants at no extra cost! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Brent!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Brent! 🍁💐 Are you going to make your own thanksgiving centerpiece? Would love to see it.😊
Happy Thanksgiving 🍁 to you & Brent 🧡. Looking forward to seeing your plants grow from propagation . Wishing you both a wonderful Thanksgiving day .
Love the propagation videos. Do you also do shrub propagations?
Well done on saving the free plants! Yay for freebies! And don’t fret over the eryngium, I dug some up & moved them, they looked a little sad for a week or two but are bouncing back now. Good luck!
I never clean my pots and don't have any problem with dieses

Why don't you use solo cups for the Eryngium and Coleus cuttings? Happy Turkey Day. 💕🎶

I am in Zone 4 - Canada and grow Scabiosa - Vivid Violet. It does beautifully!
@@brendahayes3365ok I’ll have to keep an eye out for them in my 3B
😁
Do you use mosquito bites in the water you are rooting plants in? This was interesting about the cuttings.

Annual Scabiosa good in NW Florida.planted seeds in early September.

Do your neighbors get upset about the rooster? 😅
Those roots are more like rhizomes
