Inside & Around Manchester Airport During COVID-19 Pandemic & Lockdown

- Using my Nikon P1000 4K video camera and my iPhone's 4K video features, I filmed all of these clips of inside and around Manchester Airport taken during the first half of 2021 during the COVID-19 Pandemic and during the later stages of the lockdown in the UK. Those flights which were taking place were from Terminal 1, so Terminal 2 and 3 were closed to passengers. Positively, the airport is slowly opening up again, so hopefully scenes like this will soon be a thing of the past. I used iMovie to edit all of the raw video clips I filmed to create this video here, which only uses content I myself filmed and fully own.
It really was an incredible sight to behold, to be honest. During that time, I was more or less daily cycling up there during the COVID-19 lockdowns. I'd cycle down completely empty roads and then down the entire promenade in front of Manchester Airport, I'd cycle down the middle of the road, no traffic, no nothing. They'd keep the train station open so you could walk into the airport and I'd just walk around - there was absolutely no-one there then, not even the people in the yellow jackets you've got in this video.
Nice to see the planes are flying again now. I moved back to the UK last month from Mexico, and now I live along the flight path where the planes are landing. Going on my way right now to cycle back up to the airport to see what I've missed :)

A350’s are beautiful inside.
I was there in March last year and I had to leave because of Covid. Went to London to grab a Qantas fight back to Sydney.
First time to UK and I’m not getting any younger. Sad to see an empty airport.
This is super depressing for me, i hope things will be back up to speed very soon!
