Some excellent points there, Dan! 😊 I absolutely agree, for those who flies commercially, it's a non brainer! Great review!!! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
As an airplane flyer, using Spektrum G1/G2 batts with the Battgo tech they exclusively licensed, I LOVE LOVE them, especially for the auto storage, the battgo evolved under spektrum, to actually remove the balance leads too, so it's just one three pin plug.
My SkyRC charger has a phone app, you can print off QR codes for each of your batteries. When you want to charge a battery you scan the code and it sets up the charger and keeps a log.
If your using a ToolkitRC M9 charger, is the only option not available the automatic charge settings? Will it still keep track of the batteries history?
Yeah as a average fpv pilot I don't think this could be of any use to me the amount of time it would save you pushing buttons on your charger like normal would be taken up by screwing around with the phone app. For me it would be unnecessary complexity and cost with no real benefit.
Does the BattAir need to be plugged into the balance port? I just got a K4, it detects the BattAir when battery power gets connected, and it displays cell voltages, but when charging it asks if I want to charge unbalanced. The K4 ISDT video charges without the balance port connected, and the person discards the unbalance warning. Is the unbalance warning a firmware bug, or does the physical port still need to be connected?

That's a neat feature.

My guess is for the average fpv flyer it's probably not necessary.

The balancing plug MUST BE CONNECTED any time a lipo is being charged, smart pack or not!
