Im a gentle/ positive parent too. My boys are 16, 18, and 21 (autistic mentally 5) and my daughter is 10. I never have to yell. They have grown up peacefully. They dont fight with each other (unless someone ate the last totinos j/k) They are way above average student. Civil rights activists. Lover of every one and thing. Im sure there will be negative comments, But Im secure 21 years in Im doing pretty good. Keep on going momma. It takes extra patience (which gets easier with time) but the pay off is mentally healthy stable kids who will go on to be good parts of society!

@@RedRoseSeptember22 My guess would be an issue with some organ that didn't fully develop/developed weird due to him being a preemie. So something with his kidneys or his heart or some other vital organ makes sense to me because of the time limit that was put on it despite him being so small.
Hey Colleen, I listened to your podcast and just wanted to say that totally feel you with this frustration regarding secondary covid effects on our loved ones. Recently, my grandma (who has cancer) fell backwards on our patio and hit her head. She is on blood thinners so this was very serious. She was taken away by ambulance, but got turned away from 3 hospitals because their ERs were overflowing with COVID patients. Thankfully, she ended up being okay, but this and many other stories go to show that our actions surrounding COVID do not just affect ourselves. It’s a scary world, and I wish people acted differently to protect and love people like my grandma and your son who did nothing to deserve not being able to receive the medical care that they need. I’m glad your son will be able to get this surgery in the time he needs it
I’m so glad to hear your grandmother is doing okay. But I just want to boost what you said. Covid was never an individual issue. It’s a PUBLIC health issue where our choices can absolutely effect others. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed that this is what our world is right now.

Olive's Closet , sending good thoughts to you and your Mom. Gallstones are no fun. I have had my gallbladder removed (about 7 years ago) and it wasn't too hard. I felt SO much better afterwards and never had to worry about my gallbladder being in pain again. If your Mom has to have surgery, don't be too worried. I was sore afterwards for a week or two. I borrowed a walker frame thingy from someone for trips to and from the bathroom and it was a real help while I was healing. I highly recommend it. A lot of thrift stores have them pretty cheap. Surrounding you in gentle hugs for your anxiety. I have that too.💗 Love from -another stranger on the internet.

I got my tickets for the tour!! I am SO excited. Miranda is fun but I'm there for Colleen. My son is 18 months now but watching Colleen has been part of our night time routine his entire life. Such a staple in our lives and I'm so thrilled to see a show in person.

totally feel you with the frustration about family members with covid.. my grandma has cancer and was unable to get her chemo treatment for the longest time because of the hospitals being filled up with covid patients… she finally got her first one on monday but it’s honestly so frustrating with covid! wesley is able to get his surgery and i hope he’s ok!
The podcast isn’t out yet until next Wednesday I wish she would have just talked about it here bc now I’m worried I hope it’s nothing major or serious hopefully it’s bc he’s a boy surgery maybe they didn’t do it in the hospital when he was born!! When I was a baby I had open heart surgery and the nurses told my mom I was crawling within two days after and this was a major surgery. Babies are so resilient and he will be too! MOMMA HERE: They could possibly be overtired. I would really try to get a bedtime routine down. EARLY. Not midnight 😜 And practice every single night. The bright lights are probably confusing them! Try to get them to nap during the day plenty and keep it the SAME every time. Dark room with sound machine.

I got my tickets for the tour!! I am SO excited. Miranda is fun but I'm there for Colleen. My son is 18 months now but watching Colleen has been part of our night time routine his entire life. Such a staple in our lives and I'm so thrilled to see a show in person.

totally feel you with the frustration about family members with covid.. my grandma has cancer and was unable to get her chemo treatment for the longest time because of the hospitals being filled up with covid patients… she finally got her first one on monday but it’s honestly so frustrating with covid! wesley is able to get his surgery and i hope he’s ok!

Praying that baby Wes goes through surgery well! Maybe this might make you feel better. When I was a baby I had open heart surgery and the nurses told my mom I was crawling within two days after and this was a major surgery. Babies are so resilient and he will be too! Sending positive vibes and prayers your way hoping everything goes smoothly:)

My mother committed suicide recently… not much brings joy to my life but watching Colleen be an amazing mother and her beautiful family are one of the few things that makes me happy. MOMMA HERE: They could possibly be overtired. I would really try to get a bedtime routine down. EARLY. Not midnight 😜 And practice every single night. The bright lights are probably confusing them! Try to get them to nap during the day plenty and keep it the SAME every time. Dark room with sound machine.
