As a AMA racer I want to thank you for simplifying a track day for the up and coming potential riders. I would like to add just one thing , just show up guys and do it. You will find a family at the track that will except you instantly. Great video Yammie
😂 I bought my motorcycle back from the dealer in the bed of our truck 😂 They had a lift they put the bike on and put it on the way. When we got home we backed up to the steps of our barn (it’s even with the bed of the truck) and rolled it right off. Been looking up ramps for when I decide to do track days to make it easier ✌🏻✌🏻
My living room deck lines up with with our truck bed too. Needless to say the Super sport comes thru the sliding doors in the winter and is a center piece for 7 months of the year.
I'll testify with a small car towing a bike. I installed a hitch onto my 2012 Ford Focus SE to bring my 05 Honda Shadow Spirit from Dallas to Lubbock. Everyone is so wowed that my car can do this lol.
Last year I did half a dozen "2 wheel Tuesdays"(Tuesday night for 2 hours) and a full day track day at my local track. Rode my bike there with only a few tools, tape and granola bars In a backpack. Was very fun and kept it simple. Tho the full day I started to run out of gas in the last few seasons.
You didn't really in depth safety gear ie: some tracks require full leather suit, most look for boots (riding boots) and Good helmets. Some tracks require snell rated helmets and leather gloves. A lot of sport bikes you should also add a steering stabilizer. Some tracks require certain boots to ride my local track prefers certain riding boots.
All tracks require different things, so that's something you HAVE too look into yourself. My local track requires water/wetter for all track time (minus drag racing) and won't let cruisers on track. Also one piece or 2 piece full zip suits, Snell helmet etc.... He should have mentioned to look into the track and what they require, but he certainly can't say "all you need is a helmet and some gear and BAM track riding"
Just got a suite because I've started getting knee down by accident on the road and ruined my textiles, so now that I've got the suite it's time to go do track stuffs
I’d be more comfortable pushing my limits where I slide into grass rather than off a cliff where I live. I desperately would like to move near a track.
I have a z400, just got an official license at age 30. Been at it occasionally since age 26 average. Took interest late. But this summer I really got the true feel for the high speed Twisties as a sharp learner. Able to utilize 50% of a 400 cc. Is it too late to get on the track? Also what cc bike should i use on a track day? Ma always says " son...you didn't start riding mini bikes at age 5, you cant possibly go do a track day". Me 😈 😊 watch me....
I got kicked off a track day because I showed up wearing shirt, shorts and tennis shoes... fuck em. I did dank wheelies in the parking lot for about 15 minutes until the cops were called. When the cops left, I pulled my shorts Down and mooned the staff while I rode away.
I've never seen a track org that requires a 1-piece. I run a 2-piece and have crashed in it and was fine. But they have to zip together, the "360°" zipper which is only like 270°. From hip bone to the other hip bone, around the back side.
_xx.larrenm.xx_ cruisers bro, there super stable and low center of gravity helps put alottt, also if ur like 5,8 ish the ktm dukes are super nice to ride and the 250 are quite nice too for short people, just go out and see what works for you and sit on some bikes, only you know what’s good
Brothers 5’9” and he can flat foot my 08 CBR1000RR but hardly. Go sit on some at a dealer if they’re worth their salt they won’t mind just don’t sign any paper work or they’ll run your credit.
You only need to be able to put one foot down when you are stopped. I recommend your left as you can use your right for the rear brake at a stop light. For the track you'll only be stopped on the bike waiting in the pit.
I bought 2008 ninja 650r and I'm pretty short, I'm 5'5 and I can put the balls of my feet down on both sides. I struggled some when I first started but once you get more comfortable riding it gets easier
Outside the US becomes exceedingly difficult because a lot of other places don’t allow people to send that kind of huge stuff, a motorcycle is huge they’re not like little tiny toys, though it may change some day!!

Live metal and all genres but classical is a refreshing change!
Yammie thanks for everything you do man I have learned a lot just from watching your videos
Hi there Yamz
I think it's also worth mentioning track day insurance for one day for those of us with road bikes and no track day covers
Yes, good call. I was wondering about that about half way in to the video.

Hey Papa Yam, UK bro here, just got my first bike in years a cbr650r and loving life again! Much Love!

Cool this is a perfect video for me, Thanks a lot!!
I'm bringing my Busa to a trackday at MSR Houston in only 7 days! I plan on learning dank nooners through the keyhole.

video suggestion Yammi.. track day suits tier F-S class
My sv650 is lovely. Not too crazy like the in line 4s but just enough to make yah smile😊
This was a fantastic video for me. I looked into track days, but this was great for getting me to think about the details.
Thanks for this Yam! This video is exactly what I was looking for.

@@brokeblasian how is the 400? Thats what I'm thinking about getting
Appreciate the classical music in the background (as opposed the screaming or rapper crap many others insert into their UA-cams!)
track days are physically demanding.....do a vid on fitness for motorcycles!
Of Course Yam has a video on track day! No matter where I go on the internets I end up back at the YamChan. HMRS in Nov Baby!

I’d be more comfortable pushing my limits where I slide into grass rather than off a cliff where I live. I desperately would like to move near a track.

Cars got Audi club and PCA that I have been to, how about motorcycles? want to try out bikes for track days
Great yam noob big lad
Thank you
Are you required to have a one piece suit or can you just have full gear of your choice
That's your choice

What organizations rent bikes in Michigan? I do not want to wreck my gsxr on my first track day.
Do you guys have recommendation for courses to take after your MSF?
more advanced rider courses, some MSF courses have classes for people who have already taken it so they can move up and learn more
Check with your state patrol. NC offers a free course taught by moto officers. Awesome
Bach Cello Suite #1: Prelude is wonderful Yammie, but for God's fucking sake please. There are more classical songs 🙂♥️
if mirrors are unecessary on the racetrack, then why do f1 cars have mirrors?
Pedro Rezende they're racing, you're just riding at a pace on most tracks w bikes
That chick that passed you on the ninja 300... did you get her #?
"I wanna do it too!" hahahaa, makin me feel like a kid xD
Eyyy, is this 0:23 an RC8?
Yammie sponsored track event??
U still doing a give away I need a bike big time!

Doe ridesafe do track days near Dallas?
I love u so much yammie noob 😘
You've been to Israel so you probably know that there aren't any tracks here... Im sad
Travel
Track insurance? What if I bin my street triple?
Yammie what are your thoughts on the Honda CBR150R as a beginner bike?
It's good
Bro it’s a 150, that would easily be a good beginner bike. Bikes with twice the CC’s are are considered beginner bikes
Im going to settle on a KTM RC200
@@samirf8036 I'd rather take the rc390
I would rather start real low then build my way up.Hence the 200cc i got
No random yammie fact today?
hi yammie if i enter the giveaway and win it is it possible to ship to eu and do you have any idea how much will it cost? Thx btw

I’ve been searching for motorcycles for my first bike and I ended up really interested in the Ninja 650, is that a good bike financially?
I got a 2008 ninja 650r on craigslist for my first bike and I love it. I bought It for $1600 and i would it recommend it
Yammie please notice me senpai. Btw can you send me a free ball shaver
I mean I could get a moped.....but that's not a motorcycle is it? Its a 2 wheeled granny mobile
If it has 2 wheels and an engine it's a motorcycle
Yammie
