what i think makes luffy selfless is he unlike many other characters isn’t obligated to help people when other characters actually are obligated to help other people like deku and asta for example ,it’s in their job to help people
i think the last crew member wich will tell all story´s of the straw hats will be ussop. when pirate king luffy passed away there will be only ussop to tell the truth about the story´s. But it´s can be brook as well.
Last fall I got a whole semester break from school due to class issues. I sat down to watch One Piece from episodes 1-729ish. It was literally the best times of my life. Around 20 episodes a day.
i watched 40 episodes a day, only to cry about 40 times near the 490-530 area, where i could not even smile when someone made jokes, when i realised this anime is one of the coolest, happiest and now... the saddest heart felt moment ever, Sorry no spoilers here, you just need to take me word for it. 'It is sad....'
Lol nice! I didn't really enjoy the post-war arc though. I feel like it was way to stretched out. And I was so exited to watch the straw hats reunite on episode 517.
Jonathan Morales pantoja so true aye? they dragged on and one until the last bit with straw hats, then like it went back to the normal past of things, however, i see that the war arc was meant to be like that.
Ace's death wasn't really that sad for me, since he didn't appear on the show that much and I made no emotional connection to him. The saddest moment for me was merry's funeral. The ship had been with them since the beginning and all the build up from water 7 all the way to the end of ennies lobby was just so good. Another sad moment was Bon Clay's sacrifice and Chopper's past.
One piece's soundtrack deserves so much more recognition/appreciation... It has the most beautiful pieces i have heard in my life and i feel so lucky to be able to hear them and just generally follow the series

or me, what really sets one piece aside from other anime is how even though the world it is set in can be cruel and harsh and unfair, there is always a light shining through at the end of the tunnel. filled with dreams, hopes, and aspirations, this is just such an uplifting story. every mini story, every single character, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, even that dog who just wanted to protect his pet shop, touches your heart in the most fragile and heartwarming way. the beautiful mesh of different emotions of sadness and grief and happiness and hope cannot be replicated for me by any other story. the romance of adventure, our idealistic main characters in a non idealistic world, the world building, the perfect combination of tragedy and hope for the future, dreams, this anime is unlike any other and touches the deepest and most secluded areas of my heart. what oda gave us was more than simply a story, but an entire world and universe.
Agreeing on this 100%, even more in the current times of 2020. The seas of the world of One Piece always will be my no 1 save spot to escape reality when needed. I first entered this world as a mere 7 year old who just had lost her granny and needed distraction from grief.... I stayed and followed on all adventures for the straw hats are my family and every little character became an unforgettable friend.
Every time I hear the song gold and odan I think if Garp. I mean cmon. If you think about it, the guy went through so much trouble. He has a son who is the worlds most wanted criminal, two grandsons who became complete outlaws and still had to deal with the pressure from the marines.. I think that is why he's spending so much time with coby and helmeppo. He wants to turn them into strong marines that can perhaps save the seas just like he planned for luffy and ace.
brandon Garp is one of my absolute favorite characters... I have so many favorites in One Piece though! Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Franky, pretty much the entire Strawhat crew really, Ace, Garp as mentioned before, Aokiji, Smoker! So many great characters! I could talk for hours about why I love each of them in detail! xD And there's even more that I just hvan't mentioned here! xD

Watching one piece made me realize how boring this world is, one piece provides a huge sense of adventure, I can’t describe it, it makes me wanna go sail out on a ship with a bunch of friends and just have fun and discover new things, there’s nothing to discover though, it’s just boring asf in our world, that’s the most depressing part, we’re all tethered back by our responsibilities, school, jobs, Etc, if I could have any wish, I would wanna live in the one piece world, discover new things, form my own pirate crew and just have a blast doing whatever I want without having to worry about my future, all I can do now is dream about it though, but just imagine...
you’re wrong, this world is just as great, there is so much to learn and explore. what do i mean though? i’m just saying that although this world is covered in darkness there is a light source just as great, you just have to find it. say don’t you remember the people in the east blue... they were shocked to see a devil fruit, also remember coby-he lived for years on alvida’s ship and he hated it, but there’s “nothing i can do...” he wanted to pursue being a marine yet he was forced into something completely different then luffy motivated him to die for his dreams. so what i’m trying to get at is that although your life seems shitty, push through i hate my life too i’m in the same sorry state as you but i’ll continue living.
One Piece and Naruto got the most beautiful soundtracks in anime history. It just brings so many memories back and i think i can say it remembers most of the listeners of their childhood....and i think thats beautiful. I'm glad i was able to watch those two anime. Gold and Oden is such a beautiful piece, and the most amusing fact is that it's so suited for the current story (even its name). This track often helps me calm down and think rationally about my problems 😁
There's something about this soundtrack... whenever I'm sad about something and I listen to this it gives me such a clear perspective on everything. I feel like most of the time I live like Luffy - going into everything head first and not taking a second to realise what is going on around me. Then all of a sudden I realise how much I need something I didn't realise I needed so much before. It's a strange thing, but right now I'm just contemplating everything. I'm 18 and I've never had a girlfriend which sounds sad but genuinely I could've had many girlfriends by now but I'm quite picky with who I go out with and so here I am, alone. I know I won't be alone forever but now I'm 18 I'll NEVER have that nostalgia of childhood love. And that's something I can't fix. I need to sort myself out. I'm going to stop some unhealthy habits relating to porn because I feel like in the long run it doesn't help. I would never say I feel depressed as I am usually a very happy man, but every now and again I think of things like this and I feel lonely. Why is it that I can't find love? I don't want to force being with someone I don't want to be with yet, then again, I don't know who I would want to be with right now. I keep telling myself that I will find the right person for me when I go to university but then I keep thinking that that's just a lie I keep telling myself. I thought the same thing would happen when I joined sixth form and I've still had no luck. I am really privileged to be able to go to university and sixth form, however I feel so lonely whenever I'm alone and I see a lot of my mates in relationships. I should probably go to sleep now because I've had a bit to drink and I'm probably just chatting a load of shit, but genuinely this soundtrack gives me such a clear perspective on everything and don't you think that's great? That a few songs can make me try to stop unhealthy habits, open my eyes and see what is actually going on around me. I need to get out there and meet new people. I need to stop saying I need to be in a relationship otherwise I'll force myself into a relationship I don't want to be in. I will know when I've met the right person and I can't bloody wait. I don't expect anyone to read this and I don't expect to get even one like but I feel like by writing it out and articulating my thoughts and feelings as actual words it has really helped me understand what I want in life. I'm okay. To be honest, I doubt I'll ever be clinically depressed because I'm not that type of person however I know people who are. If you have read all this and you are depressed, I just want you to know that there is no benefit to damaging yourself or taking your own life. You are worth so much more than that and just remember, even when you hit rock bottom things can only get better. Life is cruel sometimes and a lot of the time, bad things happen to good people. That's just the way it is. However, who knows what tomorrow brings. Yes, it may be shit, but what if tomorrow everything changes? Isn't it worth sticking around to find out? Life is full of surprises and it's something to be cherished. I feel so sad for anyone who feels like taking their own life is the only option because life, as cruel as it may seem, is beautiful and wonderful. The chances of you being born are so small it's ridiculous. We are tourists on this planet called earth for only a very small time so make it count. There is always a chance to start over. There is always a new food to taste. A new drink to drink. A new song to listen to. A new video to laugh at. A new photo to be amazed by. A new pet to love. A new car to drive. A new country to visit. A new hobby to learn. No one will ever experience everything possible in their life so isnt it worth enjoying it while you can? Life definitely isn't easy, but a lot of the time we make it even less easier for ourselves, when in fact it's so much easier and nicer to make it nicer for ourselves. Enjoy life. or me, what really sets one piece aside from other anime is how even though the world it is set in can be cruel and harsh and unfair, there is always a light shining through at the end of the tunnel. filled with dreams, hopes, and aspirations, this is just such an uplifting story. every mini story, every single character, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, even that dog who just wanted to protect his pet shop, touches your heart in the most fragile and heartwarming way. the beautiful mesh of different emotions of sadness and grief and happiness and hope cannot be replicated for me by any other story. the romance of adventure, our idealistic main characters in a non idealistic world, the world building, the perfect combination of tragedy and hope for the future, dreams, this anime is unlike any other and touches the deepest and most secluded areas of my heart. what oda gave us was more than simply a story, but an entire world and universe.

Every time I hear the song gold and odan I think if Garp. I mean cmon. If you think about it, the guy went through so much trouble. He has a son who is the worlds most wanted criminal, two grandsons who became complete outlaws and still had to deal with the pressure from the marines.. I think that is why he's spending so much time with coby and helmeppo. He wants to turn them into strong marines that can perhaps save the seas just like he planned for luffy and ace.

Watching one piece made me realize how boring this world is, one piece provides a huge sense of adventure, I can’t describe it, it makes me wanna go sail out on a ship with a bunch of friends and just have fun and discover new things, there’s nothing to discover though, it’s just boring asf in our world, that’s the most depressing part, we’re all tethered back by our responsibilities, school, jobs, Etc, if I could have any wish, I would wanna live in the one piece world, discover new things, form my own pirate crew and just have a blast doing whatever I want without having to worry about my future, all I can do now is dream about it though, but just imagine...

It just brings so many memories back and i think i can say it remembers most of the listeners of their childhood....and i think thats beautiful. I'm glad i was able to watch those two anime. They teached me so many things in life.

I remember watching one piece before going to school at 6:30 am, i was 8-9 years old back then, i am 27 today (and they keep making new stuff) and i watched all 600 new episodes because of the hard nostalgia feeling. There's something about this soundtrack... whenever I'm sad about something and I listen to this it gives me such a clear perspective on everything. I feel like most of the time I live like Luffy - going into everything head first and not taking a second to realise what is going on around me. Then all of a sudden I realise how much I need something I didn't realise I needed so much before. It's a strange thing, but right now I'm just contemplating everything. I'm 18 and I've never had a girlfriend which sounds sad but genuinely I could've had many girlfriends by now but I'm quite picky with who I go out with and so here I am, alone. I know I won't be alone forever but now I'm 18 I'll NEVER have that nostalgia of childhood love. And that's something I can't fix. I need to sort myself out. I'm going to stop some unhealthy habits relating to porn because I feel like in the long run it doesn't help. I would never say I feel depressed as I am usually a very happy man, but every now and again I think of things like this and I feel lonely. Why is it that I can't find love? I don't want to force being with someone I don't want to be with yet, then again, I don't know who I would want to be with right now. I keep telling myself that I will find the right person for me when I go to university but then I keep thinking that that's just a lie I keep telling myself. I thought the same thing would happen when I joined sixth form and I've still had no luck. I am really privileged to be able to go to university and sixth form, however I feel so lonely whenever I'm alone and I see a lot of my mates in relationships. I should probably go to sleep now because I've had a bit to drink and I'm probably just chatting a load of shit, but genuinely this soundtrack gives me such a clear perspective on everything and don't you think that's great? That a few songs can make me try to stop unhealthy habits, open my eyes and see what is actually going on around me. I need to get out there and meet new people. I need to stop saying I need to be in a relationship otherwise I'll force myself into a relationship I don't want to be in. I will know when I've met the right person and I can't bloody wait. I hope you are all doing well and if you actually took the time to read all of this then thank you. I don't expect anyone to read this and I don't expect to get even one like but I feel like by writing it out and articulating my thoughts and feelings as actual words it has really helped me understand what I want in life. I'm okay. To be honest, I doubt I'll ever be clinically depressed because I'm not that type of person however I know people who are. If you have read all this and you are depressed, I just want you to know that there is no benefit to damaging yourself or taking your own life. You are worth so much more than that and just remember, even when you hit rock bottom things can only get better. Life is cruel sometimes and a lot of the time, bad things happen to good people. That's just the way it is. However, who knows what tomorrow brings. Yes, it may be shit, but what if tomorrow everything changes? Isn't it worth sticking around to find out? Life is full of surprises and it's something to be cherished. I feel so sad for anyone who feels like taking their own life is the only option because life, as cruel as it may seem, is beautiful and wonderful. The chances of you being born are so small it's ridiculous. We are tourists on this planet called earth for only a very small time so make it count. There is always a chance to start over. There is always a new food to taste. A new drink to drink. A new song to listen to. A new video to laugh at. A new photo to be amazed by. A new pet to love. A new car to drive. A new country to visit. A new hobby to learn. No one will ever experience everything possible in their life so isnt it worth enjoying it while you can? Life definitely isn't easy, but a lot of the time we make it even less easier for ourselves, when in fact it's so much easier and nicer to make it nicer for ourselves. Enjoy life. I love you all, and again if you somehow read all of this then I hope you have a fantastic life.
