OOC: I apologize if the video looked rather off. I had to start working with a new video editing software, because the one I used previously wouldn't work for whatever reason.

While these are really cool videos, unfortunately, I think I know how the creator of these videos has “acquired” this “lost” version of Minecraft. There is a mod out there called Nostalgic Tweaks, which is inspired by another mod called Beta Days. Now it could be either one of them, but with how advanced the features are (example: being able to configure a custom text at the top left of one’s screen for the title screen, while playing, and even the window title), I’m assuming (ASSUMING only based on what I’ve seen) that they are using Nostalgic Tweaks. What Nostalgic Tweaks does is it’s a ~1.19-1.21 mod that can add back all the old features of old Minecraft back into the modern game. This means that you can get the best of both worlds, being able to play modern Minecraft and utilizing all of its features, but also be able to relive those nostalgic moments from your childhood by adding back basic gaming mechanics of that time (no sprinting, no hunger bar, no experience bar, old lighting engine, old zombies dropping feathers, etc.) Also, it’s completely configurable to one’s own preferences. Don’t want the hunger bar but want the experience bar? Just disable the hunger system, but keep the xp system on! Don’t want a certain mob dropping its old drops (maybe a zombie for example)? Easily go into the config menu and choose which specific mob you want to drop its default, new drops upon death (example: zombies dropping default rotten flesh instead of feathers). It’s a really awesome mod that I use often, and if this is what this creator is also utilizing, honestly, I don’t blame this creator for wanting to make an interesting and unique concept where new modern features are “added back” into an “older” version of Minecraft never released to the public. It’d be nice if they could say it upfront to people when they suggest linking the jar file, but I understand that it would ruin the immersion of this series. I think they’re also using an old styled resource pack (like Golden Days base and alpha) that is making it look like older Minecraft. As for world gen, maybe they’re using something like Modern Beta (or Moderner Beta depending on which version they modded). Of course, the only thing I can’t explain is the old Windows background and taskbar (although some others probably could explain that part better than I could). Anyways, sorry if reading this comment ruined the immersion for anyone. That wasn’t the point of my comment though. The point of this comment was in hopes that others know how these kinds of videos can be recreated just like how this creator is making their videos. I also saw many people asking for links and the original creator saying that they “can’t” send a download file for an unknown reason. Anyways, very cool story concept nonetheless! Hope this helps for everyone!
