I have used Slaking, Milotic, and Absol on the same team before. But this is just insane.
I've used before Absol, Camerupt, Slaking and Beautifly in the same team when I was a kid, but even back then I wouldn't use this whole team because, as you said, it is just insane. And I don't even know which one of the other 2 would be more unlikely for young me to use: Milotic for the absurd time commitment or the general doesn't even remembering/knowing Grimer/Muk are available to catch early on in Hoenn.
@@tezminator The thing about Grimer is that in Ruby and Emerald is only found with a 2% encounter rate in Fiery Path, so it's pretty rare to find it without knowing that it's there. In Sapphire it has a 25%, but it's just one of the three games. It took me about 30 minutes to find one in my Emerald playthrough xD
I did Slaking, Absol, Milotic, Blaziken, Swellow and Manectric as my first Hoenn team. I wanna try this team on my AS file now

In terms of slaking instead of return give it hyper beam it already has truant so if u give it hyper beam it’s not like you’re losing anything out of it and it’s a physical move in gen 3

Wouldn't have used Faint Attack on Slaking either... Keep Facade on that beast and go into battle PSN or PRZ
You are better off keeping return and getting rid of strength. You can give that to Camerupt instead of Take Down. Pretty much the same power, no recoil... better option imho.
I feel like Relicanth could've made the list easily. I never hear anyone ever mention having it on a team.

Thinking about using it on my emulator play through since I love fossil Pokémon
I did, I used my masterball to catch it since I didn't have others. I was dumb.
I used an Absol in my latest Emerald playthrough and BOI it's so fun to use. Not too OP but not a weak mon at all. Very stable member with some surprising movesets for gen 3 before physical and special moves got the splits.
Had an absol on my last emerald playthrough. Shadow ball, aerial ace, taunt, and swords dance. Absolutely dominated.
Absol just fits into that solid category and gets decent coverage moves. I feel like Mightyena probably wouldve been the better option

I used one on my most recent emerald run with swords dance, slash, iron tail and aerial ace, 252 EVs in attack and 252 in speed. Boi tore enemies apart
Jolly nature, 252 attack , 252 defense, shadow ball, aerial ace, return, swords dance, and spell tag hold item. This build shreds in emerald.
I'd actually replace Beautifly with Masquerain since I think it's less used with it's low spawn rate and not until you get Surf. But am proud that I got my Beautifly to at least Silver Wind before boxing it
Yeah I was thinking, Masquerain is totally redundant and nobody is using it as a final team member over Ninjask, OR as an initial team member instead of Beautifly/Dustox
And cameruot is used a lot, and muk is the better of the 2 (otehr being weezing) so he should’ve added slugma and korfing instead lmao.

It's like the mareep of gen 3. It wasn't available in Crystal apparently
I recently did a nuzlocke of omega ruby and after the 6th gym my team was almost wiped. I lost every good encounter I got, then when I left and went east my first encounter was an absol.. it saved my run. Got it's mega stone, taught it swords dance, and it carried me through the rest of the game. I named him miracle
I was about to say, I have definitely used in Absol on my team. It is my favorite Pokémon of all time. Of course I’m going to go out of my way to make sure I have it🤣🤣🤣
Same, Absol is an amazing Pokémon. It’s a bit of a rare find in my experience and usually under leveled by that point, but it’s really fast and versatile. Also, it looks cool asf.

I don't think that this particular team has ever been actually used by anyone. However the individual pokemon.... the only one I never used is Muk. I got stupid lucky once in a playthrough and practically stumbled upon a Febas in that route while looking for something else. I don't even remember what I was looking for cause I ended up using Milotic instead.
Also, 3rd gen Slaking without Hyper Beam is honestly an uninspired choice. All the other moves are perfect, though. Just give strength to Camerupt instead of take down and there you have it.
I've used 4 out of the 6 on a run through Emerald as a kid, replace Milotic with a shiny Magikarp/Gyarados I got luck with while trying to find Feebas because I didn't know about the certain spots. Then I used Glalie instead of Muk
The first pokemon i encountered as soon as i received pokeballs was a shiny wurmple and it became Beautifly that i used for the whole playthrough, your team sounds sick

This was so close to a team I've actually used before, the different ones were milotic because I just never successfully found a feebas in gen3, and vigoroth because I refused to evolve it. I actively have to go out of my way to make myself not use absol every single time I can lol.
Absol was my first level 100 in Emerald. It was also the first Pokémon I completed all the contests with. Pretty sure it knew Slash, Arial Ace, Ice Beam, and Shadow Ball.
I always wanted milotic on my hoenn team but I never got the luck
I have the "beautifly touch" curse, where every single wurmple I touch (capture and train) evolves into silcoon and watching the anime encouraged to raise one
I never tried grimer but I did tried using koffing and it was weak, hard to level up and honestly didn't have the patience so I boxed it
I'm surprised swablu wasn't here, while yes after getting swept by winona's altaria might encourage you to get one you had Tailow and Wingull both as early encounters so not having a flying type (at least to fly) to the point you get swablu is rare for people and also is a pokemon that's hard to train (unless you decide to wait til you have access to the sky pillar *in emerald* but by that time you might as well use rayquaza)
Unironically, I've used Beautifly, Absol, Slaking, Milotic, and Camerupt before, quite possibly on a team in emerald
Haven't used muk since gen 1 though
i used beautifly early in the game up till gym 3
absol looked cool so it was my team after gyms 5 and 6
used muk in gen 7 since it had a new form
When I was 10 and played Emerald for the first time and lost against my own father, I went out and got a slakoth of my own and trained and evolved him to be the very best, like no Slaking ever was. Defeated my father and went on to become champion of the Hoenn region…
ur dad had sex with ur mom so even tho u "defeated" him, he still won. they also had a threeway w his Slaking so yours will always be second best
I used an absol in a dark monotype run. It’s moveset was Calm Mind, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, and Ice Beam. I gave it 252 spatk EVs and looked for a modest one. It was really fun going for a special moveset!
this was the gen i grew up with and the one i'm most loyal to but i realized when i was 15 how weak most of the pokemon in hoenn were. luvdisc, spinda, bannette, tropius, lunatone, solrock, camerupt, the list goes on and on.
but to compensate, i also think hoenn had the coolest pokemon designs overall
Yeah i agree, the pokemon company seems to make alot of junk pokemon that really only are viable from gen 5 onwards, those gens would give them an ok ability or some sort of strategy but atleast gens 1-3 really need some stat therapy on some mons, like maybe a speed boost baton pass luvdisc might have made you think differently about it etc, also 2 more dark types would have helped gen 3 team building

This team is definitely one I’ve never used. I did use some of them when I first played as a kid, but not the whole team. This gets me thinking on what a team for a metagross playthrough would be like since you can’t get one till after the elite four. I’ve always wanted to try it, but have never gotten around to it mainly because I have no idea what to use, either for the moves or the team.
The thing with Kanto is that there's so few Pokemon available that it's much easier to end up accidentally using every team variation so it's much more likely that a couple folks have already done so but becomes much harder over time as more pokemon gets added.
I’ve played through Hoenn three times and while I’ve never had this team particularly, ironically enough, I had one member of this team on each of my teams. Had Beautifly on one, Camerupt on another, and Absol on my most recent.
Good idea for a video. You should do playthroughs with the teams.
I use Absol in EVERY SINGLE TEAM. I possibly can. I absolutely love him, even before he got buffed with Super Luck. I've also used Camerupt many times, and I adore Muk, although I prefer the Alolan form.
In the original absol, camerupt and slaking were a staple for me. I didn't mind doubling up the ground type with swampert and it worked well with sceptile, swellow and masquerain. Unusual but fun.
I've never used Muk on a team before Alola so . . .
Outside of that I've had all but Camerupt & Muk on the same team (I was a big fan of Butterfree in the previous generations). That being said Slaking & Milotic almost aways end up on my teams. When you were talking about fishing I thought you were going to the underwater fishing route, though that would be a long time without a water pokemon.
Oh dear, Mystic, I have used this exact Team on a replay of Sapphire years ago! Moves were different but I had these 6 pokemon!
While I have never used this team,
my very 1st Hoenn playthrough, the 1st pokemon I ran into on that route was Absol, and I kept it on my team for the rest of the game because I was a scene kid, so obviously.
I've replayed Hoenn countless times, and my favorite Hoenn starter is Sceptile, so I often use Camerupt.
However, my favorite is the Dragon team,
Dragon type or Dragon egg group:
Sceptile,
Flygon,
Altaria,
Seviper,
Salamance,
...&... Milotic.

I've used Beautifly, Absol, Camerupt, Muk, and Milotic before (got super lucky, 4th encounter on 6th tile I tried). My last pokemon was a Hariyama, and eventually I swapped Absol for Gardevoir around the 8th gym
I had all of the Gen 3 game cartridges growing up and out of those six Pokémon, I have used Absol and Camerupt on one of my final teams and I enjoyed using them both.
Slaking and Milotic I used in one team, just not the overall team you placed. Loved using the Yawn/ Focus Punch combo to make up for the Truant! And once I got the hang of Pokeblocks, I tried for Milotic and it was cool! Funny with that Papa Roach singing, I did love that song! 😂
i'm currently replaying through every generation using pokemon i dont tend to use, not quite to the extent you're doing, but atleast trying to have a team of pokemon i dont use often. my (first time playing through emerald) team is going to be: blaziken (i've only ever used sceptile or swampert), ludicolo, exploud, sableye, aggron and altaria
You can get this team potentially if you Nuzlocke. Considering if you catch a Carvanha earlier, dupes clause can allow you to focus only on getting Feebas in that route
Camerupt is actually a decent choice, and is a very solid mixed attacker, if you didn't pick Torchic or Mudkip, or decide not to use your starter.
Also, I hope you plan on including the remakes like FRLG in this series, even if they're....kind of the same games as those you've already covered. But still. It's the completionist in me.
I have used Camerupt on almost all of my hoenn playthroughs
Considering it’s GEN three I would teach Absol “Shadow Ball” as opposed to “Bite” it gets to take advantage of the attack stat and even without the STAB it’s barely weaker than Bite with STAB
I've used Muk in a playthrough Sapphire before and it was really good as its very bulky, very strong and has a good movepool, it can take special hits well and dish them out with its high attack.

I remember playing emerald when i was younger and absol was my fave mon and that was my exact moveset for him lol
I've played with all of these mons, since gen 3 was the game I played the most. But I never used them in the same squad. Few exceptions being zigzagoon and lotad and bagon from emerald which I never knew existed till diamond and pearl dropped.
I haven’t ever used this team all at the same time, but I have used each and every one of these mons on a team in multiple runs of Emerald.
Sure, there are better options, but you get bored using the same mons in multiple runs, so you experiment.
Used both Beautifly and Dustox to try early bugs. Used Slaking in at least one run. Camerupt was on at least one run. Milotic has been on multiple runs. Absol is great and has been on a lot of runs. Muk has been in both Kanto and Hoenn runs for me.

I believe my team as well wasn’t used that much in Emerald! I was a big fan of the anime when emerald came out so a lot of my choices were based off that. My first ever team for my first
Play through of emerald when I was little was: Torchic (I refused to evolve it because it loved it so much lol), Seviper, Skitty (I refused to evolve it as well because of May’s skitty in the anime), Beautifly, Dustox, and Cacturne. Lol this team is pretty bad but I loved it so much… however, looking back I can see why I found the games soooo much harder when I was younger lol. I didn’t pay any attention to stats and types.
Camerupt is honestly pretty good. I used him and went to town at the Elite 4 and champ. Mioltic is just too painful trying to evolve in a normal playthrough since you can't even get Mioltic until after Lilycove City in Emerald. Not even mentioning how insane the requirement of nearly maxed out Beauty really is. Never really used the other team members though, might try that on a new playthrough of Emerald at some point...but I really don't want to mess with Feebas hunting ;~;
I knew Milotic was going to appear on this list, and I’ve definitely had it on a team before. Funny thing about Feebas, it’s not random, and there’s a guaranteed way to find it, specifically in Sapphire.
I've actually used half of this team in a playthrough in the past (slaking, camerupt, and absol).
I love slaking truant never bothered me, like regigas in a not competitive play those abilities don’t bother me. Absol got its own movie who didn’t use it lol. And I love camerupt it was the only shiny I ever caught in my cartridge days of gen 3🥲
Muk is legit my favorite Pokemon as a poison stand. and I love him and use him in every game I can get him in.
I used a few of these Pokemon on a team but now I'm gonna use this team to see if it's any good
... no joke, I used an almost identical team in either a saphire or emerald playthrough. Absol, slaking, beutifly, and camerupt all in the party, but I kept my starter blaziken and I used a gardevoir to round out the team. But as you said them I started laughing at how close my team was.

I have used, and would def use Milotic again if given the chance. Same with Absol as they are staples of my emerald team. The others i can't say i have used outside of monotype runs (Slacking for normal, Beautifly for bug, and Camarupt for ground). Muk i would never think to use because i like using new pokemon and would likely just use Seviper instead
Mystic, I've never NOT used a Slaking on my team. His role on my squad is to have silk scarf, hyper beam and switch out weather or not it OHKO the opposing mon or not. And I would say he does his job for me pretty well
I have used a team super close to this. Take away beautifly for pinser and wheezing over muk. But milotic was almost replaced by whiscash cause it took a week to find a feebas
The Muk and Milotic had me. I used the rest on my first few playthroughs cause I always play with the early and cool Pokemon my first time through Pokemon. I mean, my first time playing Red I used Venosaur, Jigglypuff (yes I didn't evolve it), Machoke, Onyx, Golduck, and Butterfree until I switched it out for Jolteon. I went back and used Butterfree as my primary when I played Blue, though I lost that save just after catching a Dratini in the Safari Zone, I believe. I genuinely don't remember what happened after facing Koga in that playthrough and specifically remember my psybeam Butterfree getting me through that match single handedly and the rest of my Pokemon being painfully underdeveloped 😂
I've used 2 slakings in a emerald play through like a tag team switching them out before they had a chance to slack off I'm sure most people wouldn't want to waste their time doing this but slakings my favorite Gen 3 pokemon
But you'd still take a turn to switch so it still kind of uses its ability now you're just hurting both of them

i can say i haven't made that specific team, but ive used at least one of these pokemon on a team in the past, except maybe beautifly.

Idk I believe there were much more obscure options: Minun/Plusle, Delcatty, Seviper, Swalot, Shiftry, Castform, Kecleon, Corsola, Heracross, Pinsir, Rhydon, Bellossom... Granted, some of those appear quite late within the game, but they are much more obscure imo. I have used all of the pokemon you proposed, though admittedly not all of them at the same time and combined in that way.
Ooh, Corsola and Bellossom are great mentions! Haven't thought about those in ages. When I was 12, my friend had a Bellossom on Sapphire and I had no idea how he even got that. Nicely obscure.
With the exception of Milotic and Muk I have used the rest of the team in a singular playthrough like 12 years ago. If I remember correctly I had Swampert and Tropius to fill the other 2 slots
I have used 3 of the Pokémons here two at the same time, to be honest, slaking and camerrupt, in my mind they just seemed to fit together, with a wailord, Agron, and 2 other mons I can not remember right now.
The 1st time i played ruby/sapphire i never knew about the 6 tile feebas and got one on my 1st ever catch and just thought it was common til alot later on. I had Absol as it looked cool and finally i used camerupt as i wanted a new fire type as my starter was treecko.
I've used all of them separately on different runs but together I've only used four of them at the same time bueatifly,camarupt,muk and absol.
I've never used this team before, but I have used Beautifly and Absol on my team in Hoenn before. I just really like them.
3/6, I've used Absol, Camerupt and Milotic in a recent run. Tbh, Beautifly was on the team for the early game but lost her spot for Tropius as soon as he was available
In actually use beautifly often. One has stayed with me from first route through the elite 4 at least 3 separate sapphire playthroughs.
Replace beautifully with dustox and I used this exact team. I don't like using starters and I choose mons based on how they look and not their types. I shiny hunt so I'm patient enough to look for Milotic.
I always put the time in to find feebas, milotic is one of my fav gen 3 Pokémon
I thought you’d add Chimecho… You could have also added one of many event Pokémon. There were so many events for Gen 3. I used to have a Zangoose with thunderwave, false swipe, swords dance, and body slam. He would help me catch other Pokémon in Gen 3.
You gave Beautifly a good moveset, but I’d say giving it a special flying move rather than Aerial Ace. Maybe something it learns level up like Air Cutter. Just a suggestion, though.
I have used Absol as a major team member, and I think had a Camerupt for a small bit when I last played Sapphire. But I know I quickly replaced Camerupt with something else.
Slacking I would almost never use, and the only Milotic that I've ever had is my partner-Pokemon/Buddy in Pokemon Go.

I run hyper beam on slacking because the recharge and truant are on the same turn, plus it's 150 BP stab.
Ive used all of these independently or two at a time but never all together. Closest I got was Slaking, Milotic, Absol, Camerupt.
Used slaking in sapphire. Never used Camerupt in the handhelds, but I have used it in Gale of Darkness. Used Muk in Gale of Darkness as well.
My first play through of Alpha Sapphire I used a Slaking on my team and I loved him! I nicknamed him Lay-Z. It was supposed to be a gift from Norman since his ace is a Slaking. Idk it made sense in my head while I was playing haha

I’ve used every Pokemon on this team. Some at different times, but I used them all. Especially since Emerald was one of my most played.
Honestly, I used to pair Camerupt with Sceptile *all* the time in Ruby. I also always used Zangoose in those days, back when I didn’t appreciate Slaking as much as I do now.
Used Slaking, Beautyfly, Seaking, Sableye, Minum and Seviper on a run a few weeks ago because of these vids.
My Emerald team was so much more diverse than my Sapphire one (which was my starter Swampert and Swellow). I used pokemon that where rarely used aswell. My team was: Zangoose, Absol, Milotic, Skarmory, Torkoal and Manectric. Milotic took me literally hours and hours, after that save I’ve never did that again😅 But it’s still with me till this day and have a great spot in my Pokemon Home!
I've used at least half of these before in a team, Absol, Muk and Camerupt.
After seeing Absols moveset, I felt sure that Castform would be the last member to help Absol actually hit anything with it's coverage moves.
To be honest I didnt used this all team, but I used Beautifly a couple of times as well as Slaking. Milotic I used one time and I still have her until this day (I was lucky to get her before my internal battery got dry. It was more then worth the time) and I used Absol a lot of times even thought he sucked in gen 3, but since his one of my fav pokemon I used it anyway
Did I ever have all of these on my team at the same time? Maybe for training purposes to fill out the dex but never with those particular move sets and definitely not for any Gym battles. Maybe a few trainers at most.
Not muc but all the others have been on my last nuzlocke team.
Feebas can be garenteed using dupes.
Slaking is great in nuzlocks.
Camperupt is great, has coverage.
B'fly can sweep the 1st and 2nd gyms and is really usefull up till Watson vs trainers.
Absol is a great pokemon to include
Muc... makes me miss out on torkoal
I have used this before. I have done so a second time in my playthrough in blazing emerald just leveling all pokemon and catching them all.
I actually had a Camerupt named Beef in my last emerald play through 😭

The thing is, all these Pokemon are ones, I would really like to use. I know 2 people, who has used half this team during gen 3. One with Milotic, Slaking and Absol, the other one with Absol, Slaking and Camerupt.
I imagine a team, never been used, would look like this:
Tropius
Milotic
Volbeat/Illumise
Swalot
Plusle/Minun
Mew (Emerald has had a legitimate option to get it)
Replaying Oras at the moment and my team consists of sceptile, crobat, seviper, camerupt, absol, and banette. I found it interesting that camerupt is never used because I always use one in gen 3 games.
3:42 me. in my first playthrough. in the elite 4 along with my level 96 blaziken.
Camerupt was my go to for gen 3 since i'm a grass starter lifer.

I have used Beautifly and Milotic on the same team before. I have the habit of getting attached to early route Pokemon and keeping a couple of them on my team throughout the game. Lol So Beautifly is one of them. And I just love Milotic, so I deal with what I have to do to get it. Lol
I use Camerupt and Absol on my regular team, they're great!
I have used absol and camerupt. I admit camerupt doesn't have the best typing but I've always liked it
Yeah, I'll give you this one. I have never used this team before. The only one I remember using is Beautifly, and even then, I swapped it out with something else not too long after.
Aw man, I used a beautifly and was my first Lv 100. I almost used an absol, but the reason I was using rout 1 Pokémon was because I overleveled and didn’t wanna grind to replace anybody
