Great tuto, I especially appreciated the comparaison between M1R first or M1L first for mirrored increases. Thanks !

Thank you for this very clear. Im particularly glad to see that you can work the mirrored pairs either way depending on what your preference is thought I was going mad as I wanted to do it a different way.

Thank you so much for teaching the continental style as well. I'm working on your Musselburgh hat and this was super helpful.

Another way to tell if you've picked up the bar of yarn running between the stitches correctly (from the front or the back, if you forget the mnemonic) is that the front leg of the new loop on the left needle should lean to the left for M1L, and to the right for M1R. As for which way to insert the right needle to properly twist the increase as you knit it - if it's easy, you're doing it wrong (actually, the right needle must go in pointing left for M1L and pointing right for M1R).

Here is the question. What am I missing? So, the pattern I started shows
    Row 1(rs) - k4 M1L knit to last 4 sts, M1R, k4
    Row 2(ws)- k4, M1R knit to last 4, M1L, p4
On Row2, after knitting 4sts, where I have to do M1R, the strand is doubled because what I did on the first row. It makes a little hole. Is this right to you? I am confused... The pattern does not mention anything about the double strands. Please help!

I'm not sure you want to see me try to demo that!
