literally in the first 90 seconds i was like I WANNA SEE THIS VIDEO the transitions were so coooool
Oh hi Nina 🤙🏼
This day was so special for me for so many reasons.
Being one of the first to ever document life as crew to now seeing someone as awesome as Blair doing it full time is an acknowledgment of where I always knew this style of media was going to go! And Blair you are nailing it dude.
My channel paved the way to starting a company ( Ocean Air Media ) which was elected to film Loons promo video alongside our new partners IYC. A very proud moment. To have my entire team on a shoot each playing a vital role in the outcome is also special.
To then be onboard the boat where the head chef Dean is one of my best mates and best men at my wedding and chef Nina, someone I feel I helped force into UA-cam who’s now more successful on this platform that I am.
All round this day and shoot plays a much more important role in my career than anyone will likely ever know.
And I can’t thank you all enough for being a part of it!
Team Loon. You deserve your success. Now simply keep it going and you’ll go from strength to strength!
EP2 going live on my channel in the next few days!
J
I LOVE behind the scenes vids. So thank you.
Love these videos. How it’s all done and how you do all that stuff. Incredible 👍👍👍👍
And yes I’m playing catch up with your videos.
Wow, what a great BTS of a BTS/marketing video. Already saw the finished product on Jared's channel (it was awesome). Now seeing what went into that video was fantastic. Also, it never ceases to amaze me how kind, humble, and accommodating is Jared Watney. Also can't seem to put a mop down!!! Cheers (look forward to any videos of Croatia and then how you all get on for a Atlantic crossing!!)
Fantastic! It’s crazy how much I look forward to Sundays! Very cool! 😎 Much respect Loon Crew!!!
Jared forget to mention using a helicopter is bad ass and therefor just go for it😂
That’s pretty much the main reason
I do appreciate these sorts of looks because it is not the standard fair, but it is another piece of the puzzle that makes it all work.
Oh wow LOVE your videos. They have just what i wanted to see. the WORKING bits of the boat. A fancy cabin is a fancy cabin. They are everywhere. I like to see the technical bits of the boats. I would personally LOVE to see a video on say where the toys stow in the yacht and how to get them out of the deck and into the water. that would be cool. Or a video on filling the swimming pools. or what you do when the ports / marina is not big enough or has no room. Stuff that is obvious to people that work in the industry but we have no clue about.
thanks for awesome videos!
Wish y'all could show the guests having awesome times. Must be amazing to be able to afford a trip.
Great background. I am delighted to see Jared’s success and the detail shown by the Loon crew is remarkable. You appear to offer 6 star service on a 5 star scale. The folding of the blankets is chic while the smoke in the diner dishes seems to guarantee a memorable dining experience.
Fascinating! Thank you.
So cool i need a jumper. ❤
Stunning and educational look at how promo videos are made - thanks to all for sharing this. And thank you for the explanation of using the helicopter. It is hard to imagine how the stew/deck hands keep that yacht so very pristine. Off to look at the other videos and looking forward to the "found sailboat" video on this channel. And Blair, your work is excellent and professional ... KUDOS!! Thanks to all involved with MY Loon for allowing us to see so much.
I love it..... great job! Captain Paul is top notch!
Fantastic! I would love to see more of Nina in action. Her favorite recipes and and excitement of meeting the crews desire menu. What a great smile, Nina!
Fabulous video!! Always wondered how those promotional videos are created and this was a great tutorial!! Really enjoyed watching the process!! Hadn’t factored in the fuel usage into the equation but that makes a lot of sense! Either you all are great actors or it appears the crew really gets along and has a good time together! Thanks for sharing this experience!! Looking forward to what comes next!
Thank you for having us Loon!!! We had a blast! More to come in future 🥂 Caribbean perhaps 🤔
Fantastic video!! Jared Watney is the best in class photojournalist!! Love his work and everyone else who helped in making this awesome video.
Thanks Donald!!
Hahaha touchy question there Blair “who’s the hardest working crew-member..” obviously it’s the entire team! 😉 come now Paige 😂
Such a sick day filming
Blair and Jared with a Bru creative love in. Great work guys.
Amazing! You're raising the bar so high that it's hard for anyone else to follow. Great video, very informative and entertaining
Thanks guys, something completely out of the ordinary that makes this channel so special. so enjoyable to watch. 👍😀
I’m in Croatia at the moment and seen this boat out on the water to trogir this morning. Absolutely stunning would love a tour guys wink wink 😁
Brilliant video of in my opinion is the most gorgeous MY in the World. Love teh Crews in their White and Blue striped tops makes them look the part. 👌
These videos are so fricking cool 😍😍
Must be so dreamy to work on a boat like this!
Lot's ofmus got into watching yacht content from Jared's channel and the TomJoe Show, then later Tristan the Superyacht Captain and Work on a Superyacht.
Thank you for sharing the life there on a beautiful yacht with great people.
Wonderful video!
Great work👍🌸👍🌸👍🌸
from the last video end credits we were waiting for diffrent kind of video for today!!!!
It’s coming..
Yes! collaboration we've been waiting for!
Thank you for another incredibly awesome video!
Jared the living legend, great content
❤️
Blair with the squirt bottle LOL
Loves this video and i wish good cross for Loon!
Incredible you guys just keep stepping it up
Awesome video.. So many incredible aspects of your yacht and service. I see AIS shows you saling out of Straights of Gibraltar towards USA.. Fair winds and following seas on your voyage.Cheers!
Thank you 😊 Yep, we just departed Gib on our way across the pond back to WPB for a quick stop before we start our Caribbean winter season
Woow.. amazing footage.. beautiful yacht and crew... i pray for a safe crossing to Florida and looking forward for more amazing content..
Fantastic, great collaboration. Q&A at the end capped off another great video.
Excellent content as usual guys, first class.
Brilliant video, as I said last time, they get better every week. What a life, what a job and what a place to have a holiday. I don't understand why people would want to leave the boat for anything. As much as the land restaurants are probably great, the areas beautiful to explore, considering the cost also, I wouldn't want to leave the boat except for using the jet skis.
Well done everyone, lovely surprise to have more than 1 video this weekend.
Loved this video. So much respect to the Loon crew who are doing an amazing job.
Great awesome job. Love the crew people. So kind and professional. The vessel is a beauty. Dreams must come true. Love the channel. ❤ take care and always success on your journey. 😊
You guys giving Jared flashbacks to his M/Y Sea Owl days? This footage looks great.
Great video Guy’s superb cinematography
What a beautiful Super Yacht
Wooo!
Great video just the right amount of information it demonstrates the amount of care and thought that goes into these videos well done LOON team
that model has some serious legs!! 3:09
Thanks for the amazing job you guys did for the shoot! Well done on the edit man loved it! Can’t wait to shoot this beauty with the OA crew again!🔥
Great video and agreed Jared does an awesome job but so are you with your own channel(s)
Thanks again for such a nice and instructive revealing video. Learned more about the Superyacht life and charters..
Like the 'go-pro in the mouth' shots!
Wow thanks for the behind the scenes. I have learned not to question the pros too much. There is a reason why you hire them in the first place to do what they do. If I was decent with a camera I’d apply for the helicopter part of the job. I love flying in helicopters- actually I just love flying period!
Insane video for sure. What a yacht
My new most favorite video. Great job
Been watching Jared since he was a deck hand and so glad he’s parlayed his video talents into a company. Thanks Blair. Great video guys.
Thanks for the support over the years!
It is a great team on this boat.. Love the spirit! I will never be in a place to charter anykind of this .. But it was fun ...;-)
Outstanding guys !! Jared is the absolute best !! Always amazing content and editing. !! Cheers !! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Awesome
Jared is the best 😀😀
Very cool, you guys make it so easy.
Well done Blairey 🎉🎉🎉
Interesting. I was entertained. Thanks for explaining the helicopter, I was wondering about that.
Wonderful stuff!!
Please do videos more often
Safe crossing Loon 🙏🤩
Really cool behind the scene stuff :)
Different strokes for different folks. DJI Inspire 3, more cost effective with same image quality. The way to travel. 👍 🎥
Awesome video!! Super cool!! Thanks!!
Great video!
those transitions...
AWESOME...💯💥🤙🤙🤙
Awesome video guys! What’s the soundtrack?
Great video something different. Noticed Nina's was not there so I take it she has completed her 1st 8weeks as Loon's Chef. Looking forward to next video thanks. Have a fabulous crossing to Miami FL
The Ocean Media shoot probably was done before Chef Dean went on vacation. He's out with an injury.
Wow, been watching this channel since the first video hoping one day I could see them here in West Palm, and when that happens I leave for Europe for two weeks :(
Nothing to do with this video but, I see that you passed Gibraltar on your way across the Pond. I hope the weather's been at your back and the water Smooth...
Great Sailin'
ps. I'll get back again along the way.
Thank you.. nice and calm so far 🤙
👍👍
The models are like "I'm not a billionaire, but I play one on UA-cam" 😀
Exceptional insights on creating the videos!
However, I have been waiting on Croatia videos. Are they coming?
Great video , both yours and Jareds ! How long is the crossing from the med to Florida?
okay cool
So sad to see the devastation in South Africa I hope no one on board has family who have suffered. Prayers to all in Johannesburg ❤
I am South African it is horrible I am in the USA praying for SA
Nice work if you can get it!
Okay, as a photographer, I want to see some of the technical details; especially does Jared storyboard the shoot as part of his prep?
Sure. I’ll make that happen
Hope you guys carry the sail boat to palm 😂😂😂
also must comment on the difference in Blairs hair from beginning of season to current day #blairneedsahaircut
Jared Watney.. from swab and da boner to sauve and debonair! 😂 Absolutely luv this cat! And as for Loon, SWOON. ❤ Great as always guys
Just curious to when the crew gets their days off or do they? Like when you a have very long charter ,like the 17 day one you had? Or are you on 24/7 shift the entire time on boat? Is there enough staff in all positions to split the shifts? How many hours in a 24 day are spent by each staff working? How many weeks out of the year do staff work? You mentioned in previous videos that the Captain and Chef do a rotation, what about everyone else?
Is it dangerous to cross at the height of hurricane season? How do you plan for possible bad weather?
No, most yacht migrate back to FL/ Caribbean at the end of September/ early October. We constantly watch for the storms with the help of shore based meteorologists and avoid them. Since we are traveling at 13-14kts we generally travel faster than them. If one is chasing us down we can always turn south and get below it. 🤙
Shows you how obsessed I am 8:19 are the fork and knife wrong way ?
You dont dare people to find dust!! You chalange them!!!
Ya Ya ? what are you a yuppie🤣 nice video though
Crossing the Atlantic for west palm beach Florida, 🇺🇸?
Didn't the captain mention in a recent video that you would be cruising the Med in September? Strange...
Anyway, love your content. It' s always a pleasure.
We hoped to be chartering in September but as we have no more charters for the season we decided to run back to FL a little early and get into the shipyard. This gets us out chartering in the Caribbean early 🤙
Lucky you to get a timeslot in a yard on that short notice. My next appointment for my car is booked a month in advance ;-).
We had the shipyard organized months ago we’re just showing up a little early.
10:10 Are you crossing under your own power or using a yacht transport ship?
We cross by ourselves.. Transport ships is for smaller yachts
@@motoryachtloon Awesome - Thank you! Safe travels to captain and crew, and may the wind be always at your back 😀
Thank you 😊
Hmm, I'm of two minds about his helo vs drone argument. If he's talking DJI prosumer drones than yes but a big commercial drone can carry any camera a human can (and some they can't). Movie companies hang full-size 35mm motion picture cams off drones to give cinema-quality motion and still images. A largeish six-rotor drone can carry any camera you like or multiple DSLRs on multiple gimbels for a fraction of the cost of the chopper.
If the chopper is their preference, they are some of the best people in the business so that's fine but Jarad shouldn't diminish what can be done with a UAV to justify it because, from the perspective of the argument he put up, that's simply incorrect.
Wasn't it Robin Leach? Whatever happened that dear man?
Great shots and it's amazing what kind of effort goes into it. A small social component: I found the shots of Jared very heteronormative, a straight couple, both pretty, bodies well trained. For me personally it was a bit too stereotypical, there are many more body types and types of relationships. For a modern yacht, perhaps a modern image of the client would also be desirable. Queer greetings 🙂
