For me the idea of a "Clarisse" (3rd party hub that imports all exports (charater from maya/ vdbs / abc's from houdini/ c4d etc... ) and packs them into an efficient render engine is a proven methodology used all over big productions (think major films). Unreal can absolutely be that. Lucky to find you via search! I'm totally a MoGraph Camper, Cinema 4d/ Octane/RS Houdii user and friend in the community - I feel "blueprints" and relation w/ the "Mograph toolset/ houdini VOPS "can be extremely powerful but I haven't cracked it yet. I feel you're the one to show us the way. Like give us Mograph equivalent // the VOPS equivalent and that will help immensely !

thank you very much Anthony for the thoughtful comment! I will definitely try and showcase more mograph like features that can be created using unreal engine :) cheers!

loving these simple tips/tutorials! i am Cinema 4D/Octane user... but started to do some research/learning on Unreal Engine 5. i need to do some pretty simple configurator for our company products. you know... on and off buttons. maybe little rotation slider. maybe changing different landscapes, 3d models, and so on. Maybe i can use some off these tips with my project. thanks. Just keep these coming. :D

Awesome!! Once we get through some blueprint fundamentals we can move on to UMG :) even with direct blueprint communication and caching you can do a lot of stuff. Chat soon!

There is a video here on the channel where I talk through blueprint interfaces. I really like to use those in projects due to the modularity and not having to wire things directly. Check out the video and let me know what you think. It's the thumbnail with my hand over my face 🤣 cheers!

I like your videos. Can you make full videos on blueprints like from start to finish.

Yes I will definitely make more videos discussing blueprint communication. I hope to do a series where we build a sample project together. Thank you! Cheers!

Any ideas on why the option to select the default (you selected Hidden Door) would be greyed out? I am trying to direct reference a Pawn in a Variable of the Game Mode so that a switch can change based on a Public Variable from the Pawn. Can I simply not directly reference an actor instance in Game Mode? Thanks for any reply, no worries if not.

No the begin play does not start as you said when the game is booted up. You are using a blueprint so the begin play starts when the blueprint is initalised when spawned into the level or placed there...
