@@snoopy_peanuts_77 Terrible, I sent it back for a refund. For starters it took me over an hour to download the software. Once I installed that I found it wouldn't recognise the base. Contacted Cammus support and they talked me through how to force flash new firmware. Did that multiple times which didn't fix anything. Support stopped replying to my messages. After a week of trying to get the base recognised I thought I'd set up the pedals and see how good they were. Wasn't able to calibrate the brake and clutch so I was at the end of my teether and contacted the seller and told them the Cammus bundle was junk and I wanted my money back. With the refund I brought a Moza bundle and couldn't be happier.
I think they wasted opportunity, if they made the middle cover with hole in the middle and right thickness it could then be used as a spacer. Really tempting this wheelbase
Same... it just feels a bit uncomfortable to use small wheels. I want to save money and go for the C5, but it has a 280mm rim! I don't care about swapping rims, but I would like at least a 300mm wheel, preferably 320mm...
There’s an addition postage fee which raises the price by $50 for UK folk. Factor in the bracket and you may want to look at other option. I have a C5 though and I like it. But this thing has an average torque of 12nm, not peak like the others, so bear that in mind if your doing comparisons.
still €45 cheaper all-in than the Fanatec 5Nm, which is the 3rd cheapest DD wheel available. Of course the C5 is the cheapest at €240 cheaper all-in than the Fanatec. Prices include the 'optional' clamp for the Cammus wheels and the cheapest rim and QR for the Fanatec. The Fanatec 8Nm is an additional €100.
I might be buying this... either this or the C5. Who in Europe would buy a Fanatec 5Nm when for €45 less you can get the C12, or for €240 less you can get the C5? (full wheel, including 21% tax, shipping cost and for the Cammus also including the 'optional' mount)
Actually, you can mount a quick release because it’s a universal bolt pattern on top. Douglas Thompson has done videos on this on his sim racing channel.
Smart concept, but not smart to buy it. Shifters and buttons are far more prone to fail than servo-motors, so it's always better buying both separate. And another reviewer had already failing buttons within hours assuming that the PCB is getting to hot inside. Also what's the service-situation with Cammus? Sending the hole unit to China for RMA in case a button or shifter-paddle fails, maybe even on your own expenses, doesn't seem pleasant for the customer.
I don't know where you got this info. Cammus' own website says they provide repair kits should you need them, though they also allow you to send the wheel in if you do not wish to perform repairs yourself.

Ive pulled the trigger on this wheel. Clamp and pedal set. Cant wait to get my hands on it.
so how is it?

Been enjoying the C5. Will likely upgrade to this at some point in the future.
Thinking the same.
Better looking than fanatec toy looking plastic wheel.
Another option, is to attach the paddle shifters on the inside and use spacers with longer screws to move them towards the wheel.
Love my C5.
My only "gripe" with this wheelbase is the fact the wheel itself is not at least 32cm; wish it was those 2cm bigger

Considering replacing my CSW 2.5 + formula and rally wheel with this.

I need to be able to quickly change rims, so it’s not for me, but it’s hard to argue with the value.

@@bullit199 I checked his videos but I couldn’t find any video of that. Do you have a link?
Bonjour, pour le prix,je ne vois pas ce que on peut avoir de mieux, cette base est très bien.😊
what would be a great pedal set for a rig with this wheel and will this wheel work on a playseat challenger or would i need to lower the ffb?
I can't get passed the way they look.
😂
Unfortunately very bad reliability from most cammus wheels. Hopefully they can improve quality control.
Have you owned one?
C12 vs R12? ES 12" wheel, same price
Where are you seeing the R12/ES bundle listed at $549?
@@SimRacingCorner Nowhere. But specifically in my stores they cost almost the same. About $620
@@orangechannel4862 I'd go with the R12 if that's the case.
@@SimRacingCorner Why? and I can also install a 33 cm steering wheel on the C12 for a rally, and I don't need a KS for moza
The R12 has better FFB

Shifter modules and buttons are easy to replace. Cammus send them if you have a problem
