    I just bought this combo in the UK today from racing sim. It cost £329 and the shipping was free. Just a PSA for you guys. Great video and thanks for the useful info.

    If you are mounting to a rig with sufficient tilt and height adjustability, the table clamp is not needed. I mounted my C5 directly to the Playseat Trophy with just the included mounting brackets. I just used a Velcro strip yo mount the fan under the bracket.
    BTW, the wheel alone shipped from China was $310 ($260 + $60 shipping). They now have US warehouse purchase options that should reduce shipping costs. They also are selling through Amazon, Walmart and a few other online retailers. You're likely to find better overall pricing that way.

    If you're just starting sim racing or upgrading from a Logitech, this is a great value proposition. Kids are honestly spoil today.

    8:16 this combined with the wheel of your preference and some Hall Sensors and Loadcell for the brake which exists, can be one of the best combos of quality for the money.

    I got this wheel bundle second hand at G29-on-sale price, and for that price I think it was an insanely good deal. I only have experience with T300 from before and it is a huge upgrade imo. Pedals feel great for me personally sitting on a laminate "wood" floor they don't move at all. However I have no experience with nicer pedals. I was planning to get a Moza R5 but this saved me 2/5 of the price even when the Moza is now on sale, so I think I'm happy with this. It feels like a tank except for the shifters, but I will be getting a sequential anyways as I am a rally simmer. My main complaint is that D-shape wheel is not my thing and it's not upgradable. 😭

      I've heard a lot of bad things about the pedals, especially the break. Is it worth spending a bit more time get nicer one's?

    • @toshidaboshi
      @toshidaboshi 3 місяці тому

      @@splash5900 These pedals are very basic. Metal construction and sensors are great, but the feel of the brake is not good. Mine is also squeaking when I press it all the way. I want better pedals at some point with a clutch too, but for now they are barely good enough to provide a fun experience for me.

    • @danielisbell
      @danielisbell 3 місяці тому

      @@splash5900 They've started including a brake mod kit with the pedals now. It should help pedal feel a bit, but if you have the extra to spend up front, getting a load cell pedal kit is worth it. I'm considering their LC100 kit during/after the holidays.

    Hi great video.
    How do you use Logitech pedals with Cammus c5?

    • @DedulissRacing
      @DedulissRacing  8 місяців тому

      I'm using Logitech G29 as plugged into the PC without the electricity, it works like an adapter. Logitech does sell a special adapter for 40$, but it's sold out

      @@StefanGenov7 Logitech sells an adapter that lets you use the pedals and shifter without a wheel. If it's not in stock or you have a set that isn't supported, Leo Bodnar sells adapter cables to use the pedals and shifter as stand alone devices. I'm personally using the Leo Bodnar adapter cables with my G27 pedals and shifter.

      What size is the G923 wheel? I upgraded from a G27 to the C5, and the wheels are the same diameter. I thought Logitech was still using the same wheel design, but maybe not.

      @@DedulissRacing first: the product was defective after just 1 month of use. This in itself is already quite negative. The right and then the left shift paddle broke (this is common on C5 Cammus). After that, a firmware update was done and the steering wheel stopped working and never came back. Cammus sent another one as a guarantee, stating that the shipping costs and customs fees would be their responsibility. I paid the fees and now cammus informs that the amounts are too high for refund. In a warranty process, all expenses (new replacement part, freight, fees and taxes) must be borne by the supplier and not by the customer. For me, it is acceptable for a product to fail, but it is completely unacceptable for the expenses related to the warranty to be the responsibility of the customer.

    • @DedulissRacing

      Yeah, that does sound quite bad. I did notice most of them complains are about the shipping etc. It's weird policy for sure. I hope you'll eventually get all the unnecessary money spent back 🙏

    This brand straight up stole software from the openFFBoard Project and hast a verry inspired Hardware Design to say the least. If i would buy one of These i would feel guilty and donate Something to gigawipf the creator of openFFBoard in Return.

    • @DedulissRacing
      @DedulissRacing  8 місяців тому +3

      Not sure, who openFFBoard is (personally never heard of them), but if the creator feels like stuff was stolen, he can always sue the company for stealing software etc.
