OMG Those seniors weren't wasting anytime. All the paperweights were nice. The ones with bubbles are controlled bubbles. The brass inkwell is super awesome. The alabaster figures, and war canon would have been great buys.
I was worried you wouldn't pick up the inkwell and blotter set- so glad you did, my guess is that will do ok, not tons of money but ok. I agree with you though, it's hard to buy everything even when it's cheap because it's hard to manage that quantity of stuff. But you got most of that table, so, you're good! lovely video as always
Oooo those dolls, looove them.i got still my doll from when i am little,he is now 61 years old.he is in my special glace closet(?),🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💐💐❤️❤️he looks like the little dolls you have now,
The Scottie is indeed a door stop, but is not old and more than likely a repro. A lot of cast iron Scottie figures were reproduced in the 80’s and 90’s. I actually have two exactly like this (seam and all) that I purchased new in the 90’s. The desk set rocking piece is an ink blotter. The side containers were the ink wells. That may be the best piece you got for a dollar!
They had one of the best magnifying glass at that awesome sale you almost missed! I love mine so much better then tiny jewelers loop at home! And if you find in resin they are awesome too! (Round top straight side about 3 inches tall was the one you left behind!)
I went garage saleing today and found some great items!! A Kate Spade purse and Betsy Johnson purse for $1 each!! Bought myself a Dooney & Bourke for 1.50 for myself!! Also some great clothes, but unfortunately I saw no jewelry.. I wanted to find some so bad.. lol
Hey Tanya...thanks for taking us with you:) I just wanted to mention that Turtles require full spectrum lighting on their tanks or they will not be able to process their food and get the nutrients they need...their shells will get soft and eventually they will die. I used to work for a veterinarian who specialized in exotics so we saw a lot of birds, turtles and reptiles. Turtles are cool though...good luck with him and I hope this helps:)
Tonya couldn't you hear me yelling to buy ALL the paperweights?? I collect them and even a plain clear one is worth $20. Also the colored glass bubbles looked like antique Japanese fishing net floats. I wanted those too lol. Great haul. I was begging them to stop packing. Exciting video!
You should have kept the popsicle stick lamp! They are called Tramp Art and it could be worth $25 to $100! They are vintage! I have seen paper weights with people putting their loved ones ashes in them. Hope they didn’t sell any of those by accident at the retirement center!
I love that glass turtle! Are you parting with it? Three times you picked up the little carved, green bunny. I would have picked that up! I find myself “telling you” to buy this and buy that!!! LOL
Nice video! That gold clover 13:49 is gold plated, sold one long time ago, you got wonderful stuff in that garage sale. You should take me with you next time 🙄.Thanks for the video
I watched you buy those dolls and last night just saw a show on cable about this lady buying a haunted doll at a garage sale- Yikes. I would be throwing some holy water on those creepy things.
At the first sale I wished you had taken everything, she was so done and probably would've given you all that and the kitchen sink for a good price if you'd asked, just to get rid of it all, the second needed a bit of delicate maneuvering however still doable as far as getting a great price for a lot considering they were tired, the sun came out late, I'm sure they had worked really hard and could've been persuaded by your charming personality. This was one of those take it all Miss Tonya vid. Lol. Peace and Blessings. Namaste
I think for a $1 a piece they just wanted to hurry up & get rid of it all. Yes I would have offered them $40 for the 2 tables & they probably would have taken it.
The inkwell in the middle is called a blotter and you use it for drying up the ink that you have just used. You found a beautiful piece but it's still upsets me that you did not buy everything that they had
I would’ve grab the white wicker basket! I love those in a dollar for that was cheap. When you gave her the $10 I would’ve told her just to keep the change for the tote. That’s just me though
That lamp is technically not real tramp art. Tramp art is using small pieces of wood, generally cigar boxes and making small notches in the wood to form geometrical patterns. I could be wrong but I didn’t see any whittled into the lamp. The reason I say this is my grandfather was a tramp artist and helped author a few tramp art books.
Kate L You’re right, but this 1950’s version is also an example of what is recognized as TRAMP ART. True TEAMP ART or HOBO ART as it was originally called came into being as a form of barter as Hobo’s transversed the country on the rails in and after the depression. This type of creation was a “modern day” recreation of the original.
I love the cast iron Scottie dog..... Sooooo cute. And yes.... You would think maybe they'd slow down and give a break to someone who is obviously going to spend money. They make you feel like you're in a whirlwind!
Tonya, there is lady with a channel on yt who I thought you might really enjoy. She is a doll and does quite well. Her channel name is Lavender Clothesline. Let me know what you think if you get time to watch her. Blessings!
Next time you see this happening, offer them 100 and that you will take it all away.use yr storage as a sorting place and you can get massive amounts of inventory and pay nickels on the dollar for it.
Why were they packing up so soon? I was surprised you didnt get all the glass bowls and candy dishes. I hope they were donatating everything to a charity. They really had nice things You paased up some nice leather bags. You felt rushed, because they were packing up,so fast. They probably should have started their sale at 8am because they got cold!!
At that first sale I woulda grabbed that coach glasses case!! That was soo funny you shopping them packing.. Lol My fav was the lil Scottie dog, he's soo cute!! Ohhh I saw you are in TX where at, I'm in North TX, in the panhandle.??
Yeah i think you got a good deal you would have paid way more if you shopped earlier. I think you wouldn't have bought as much as you did if you had to pay full price. So great deal yaa
It truly is a shame they didn’t try to help you more and get rid of the stuff it would have been less they would have had to haul back inside and do away with . I would have encouraged you to but buy buy ,
Oh wow, I would of bought all those Christmas stockings, they were expensive ones, and that big white basket. It was nice she let you take the orange tote too. How nice. Yea, they were rude packing up as you were looking. They could of waited until you were done.
How was that rude? The lady clearly stated that they have been out there all day. They can pack up whenever they feel like it. You just feel entitled to their time and stuff.
The ink holders on either side with a blotter in the middle. Very cool.
Beautiful video. really enjoyed. It is a great pleasure to see that this city belongs to my favorite country, the USA
Love the paper holders
OMG girl!! me too!!! I think I'm past borderline hoarder! I didn't have time to have a garage sale this fall. I usually do 2 a year
Texan Picker lol I’m past borderline hoarding ... lol I’m considered a HOARDER BY MY FAMILY . But I resell just got to get it done ‘😂
I think this garage sale is the best one I’ve ever seen! Too bad you got there late.
OMG Those seniors weren't wasting anytime. All the paperweights were nice. The ones with bubbles are controlled bubbles. The brass inkwell is super awesome. The alabaster figures, and war canon would have been great buys.
Your antique ink well and blotter set is fantastic!
LOL! I was screaming at the screen to buy everything. They were ready to make a good deal.
Oooo those dolls, looove them.i got still my doll from when i am little,he is now 61 years old.he is in my special glace closet(?),🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💐💐❤️❤️he looks like the little dolls you have now,
I have dolls over 70 years old
Caithness crystal glass was a big name back in the day you got a bargain! Well done
I think the inkwell May have come from a hotel from the 60s. The square thing you kept picking up holds blotting paper.
The Scottie is indeed a door stop, but is not old and more than likely a repro. A lot of cast iron Scottie figures were reproduced in the 80’s and 90’s. You should have kept the lamp made outnofbpop cycle sticks. It's called Tramp Art, and worth quite alot.
I agree - a real antique.

I wanted to find some so bad.. lol
Yay!! Keep going I promise you’ll find some good jewelry 😋🍀
Wouldn't you think they would have stopped until you finished shopping?
Finally you got that turtle
Perfect time to get a bulk deal when they are wanting to close shop.... you still did great on the finds though.
Thanks Travis 👊🏻

You should have kept the popsicle stick lamp! They are called Tramp Art and it could be worth $25 to $100! They are vintage!

I watched you buy those dolls and last night just saw a show on cable about this lady buying a haunted doll at a garage sale- Yikes. I would be throwing some holy water on those creepy things.
LOL
Shame you didnt get to that sale earlier great stuff 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
At the first sale I wished you had taken everything, she was so done and probably would've given you all that and the kitchen sink for a good price if you'd asked, just to get rid of it all, the second needed a bit of delicate maneuvering however still doable as far as getting a great price for a lot considering they were tired, the sun came out late, I'm sure they had worked really hard and could've been persuaded by your charming personality. And every time I gotta garage sales I never see those glass looking things how do you get so lucky I love stuff like that
I am sick over what you did not get and I hope that you have learned your lesson. Also it is not too late to ask for everything
I saw a Scottie that looked like yours and they were asking 25.00! I believe the vintage inkwell may be quite valuable!
You were right on inkwell
Nice vintage piece!!!
The inkwell in the middle is called a blotter and you use it for drying up the ink that you have just used. You found a beautiful piece but it's still upsets me that you did not buy everything that they had
Caithness is a very old and popular glass factory here in England, well Scotland lol .
I would’ve grab the white wicker basket! I love those in a dollar for that was cheap. When you gave her the $10 I would’ve told her just to keep the change for the tote. That’s just me though
My favorite was the purple and pink duck and also glass turtle trinket box. I would have gotten more stuff.
The “tramp art” lamp was without a doubt the most valuable thing you picked up at that sale. Can’t believe you didn’t know what it was!
Believe it. I don’t know everything!

New to your channel. I wish it was still summer here, I miss yardsales and garage sales already 😔
Welcome, Glad to have you here 🥰
Tonya, you have a wrist thing on your keys. Wouldn't it be easier for you to put it on your wrist than to try to handle everything?
When I do that people complain about the noise they make.
Ron Johnson and other companies
Wow paperweights for $1. Amazing! Too bad you didn’t find that sale earlier.
The beach was so nice I don’t live by the cost anymore we moved to Northern California to the snow ❄️
You should have asked what the price was for everything that they had boxed and unboxed
2 ink wells and a blotter.
My husband is a firefighter and I would have gotten that sign for his man cave
Yep that was awesome sign
I wanted that leopard stocking!!
I love the cast iron Scottie dog..... Sooooo cute. And yes.... You would think maybe they'd slow down and give a break to someone who is obviously going to spend money. They make you feel like you're in a whirlwind!
I would've pick? Everything🙆
Me cantó todo, Saludos desde panamà
There was a small cobalt and white swirly thing that look like a little Christmas tree that you missed.
It had a chip in it that’s why I didn’t get that one
Tonya, there is lady with a channel on yt who I thought you might really enjoy. She is a doll and does quite well. Her channel name is Lavender Clothesline. Let me know what you think if you get time to watch her. Blessings!
Yes!! I love Karen, been subbed to her since she started on YT! Great channel and I always learn something from her 😀
DESDE REPUBLICA DOMINICANA ME ENCANTA BENDICIONES
Are you saying you have an actual brick and mortar antique store? Or where is your booth?
I rent two booths and a showcase at an antique mall locally 🤗
@@ThriftyTreasures Okay, I just went to check out your other channel and got the scoop. :) Thanks!
@@ThriftyTreasures May I ask what your rent is for all that?
Omg don't let her throw that away!!
That lamp can be vintage with that electric cord 1960s
You did good
You can’t regret when it was so stressful - it’s like your brain shuts off!
Next time you see this happening, offer them 100 and that you will take it all away.use yr storage as a sorting place and you can get massive amounts of inventory and pay nickels on the dollar for it.
I think you did well with the time you had.
Be careful around the turtle, they can carry parasites and other bacterial. Your son might need to return it to the park.
Why were they packing up so soon?
I was surprised you didnt get all the glass bowls and candy dishes.
I hope they were donatating everything to a charity.
They really had nice things
You paased up some nice leather bags.
You felt rushed, because they were packing up,so fast.
They probably should have started their sale at 8am because they got cold!!
That lamp was folk art. Probably from the 60's or 70's. But, you got some great items!!!! That lamp does look old and may have been rewired.. TFS
It s1960s wire is Good valuable lamp
I kept saying "Get the roadrunner plate!"
I believe the popsicle stick lamp is called tramp art. My great grandmother had made a set of two.
Wish you would have picked up that stone white heart with the black stripes I would have boughten it from you
I see you love dolls. There was nothing on that $1.00 table that caught my eye.
At that first sale I woulda grabbed that coach glasses case!! That was soo funny you shopping them packing.. Lol My fav was the lil Scottie dog, he's soo cute!! Ohhh I saw you are in TX where at, I'm in North TX, in the panhandle.??
Light is prison art or something like that. Sold items like that for big
$$$
Yes I wish I was there
I can't believe they would rather keep pack than rest a bit and make money letting you look and buy.
Yeah i think you got a good deal you would have paid way more if you shopped earlier. I think you wouldn't have bought as much as you did if you had to pay full price. So great deal yaa
Gorilla glue will fix that swan. I would have got that big brown leather purse.
I always have regrets about the things I didn't buy!
Caithness is well known in the UK.
I thought that it was $8.00, not counting the bin
Libby, not Lilly I believe
That pink bowel looks like depression glass ....money there
Why would anyone sit out there with 20 items for only $1 a piece? Waste of time. I say throw it all away.
😰😰😰😰I do that too when I like something and I don't get it 🤦🤦🤦
It’s Libby Edelman and they don’t go for too much. That 4 leaf gold clover and tiny ducks would have been great for your antique booth.
Todo muy bonito😘😍
And the two pat egg 🥚 I collect them
It truly is a shame they didn’t try to help you more and get rid of the stuff it would have been less they would have had to haul back inside and do away with . I would have encouraged you to but buy buy ,
That’s a Libby Edelman purse and it was $73.99 new
Thanks so much 🤗🥰
You’re welcome

Obviously you know nothing about having a garage sale.
@@christinelanmon2852 Yeah right😂
I think that you should go back to that retirement home and ask them what is the price for everything and then get it
Seems like they just wanted to leave instead of making money in the sale.🥴
