Con mucho orgullo podemos decir que la unica presentacion de Death en sudamerica fue en nuestro pais, un sentido homenaje al mas grande del deathmetal Chuck Schuldiner, tu espiritu estara por siempre.
Tuve que viajar desde lima,gracias chile por traer a la mejor banda de death metal del mundo!!!

Death playlist was incredible , two hours , zombie ritual , pull the plug for the “oldies“ , suicide machine from digiorgio‘ era , symbolic etc , only we missed some of spiritual stuff ... chileans fans gives all and the band too.
Chilean & Mexican fans are not crazy, they are completely mental!!! There’s just so much appreciation and enthusiasm toward bands from the US. Here we take it for granted just like everything else. Not saying every fan here is like that but for the most part our crowds suck. Hopefully after this pandemic is over we start appreciating the small things again and not take things for granted like some the best music we have here. Even still, nothing will top your crowds🤘🏼

Today is the death anniversary of a very big influence on my life. Thank you Chuck Schuldiner for the amazing music and the hope your music gives me and other people. You may have died, but your music and memory lives on. Rest in peaceful, eternal slumber.

Soy un weon afortunado,veo este video y recuerdo perfectamente ese 7 de Noviembre de 1998 aca en Chile,esta banda se supo que venia en Marzo de ese año, y todos los que amamos Death esperamos pacientemente,lejos,lo mejor que he visto en mi vida, ua clase maestra,mas encima junto a Cannibal Corpse y Incantation y Dorso por 10 lukas,Chile es el pais en metal de sudamerica, y eso lo demostró Death que solo quiso venir a Chile,for ever master Chuck!

When at school i was asked if i had a time machine i could use for a single trip, where would i go, i said i would go a week into the future, check out the winning lottery nubmers and come back a rich man. Now i take it back, i would go to the year 98, to chile metal fest to see death with this awesome setlist.

Yes , seriously , the forever vicious chilean audience maybe looked a little bit calm , but in that context , dorso ,incantation and very specially cannibal have been a huge opening act . otherwise it felt the overwhelming desire to see the living legend of death . it was time to deeply enjoy this opportunity , like if sensed that was the last chance to do it ...... it was.....

Lo que da lastima es que SOLO en sur america y europa pudieron tocar en un lugar tan grande con miles de fans. En los estados unidos solo tocaban en bars con menos de 200 personas.

Like a breton or neruda in literature , like dali or mata in surrealism , like jarret or towner in jazz , death is in extreme music one of the best . Also , i don‘t think it was easy to bring death so far . Complex Schuldiner personality intuited that experience was positive to the band , an it was .
