    This was just sooooo sweet! Had tears in my eyes a couple of times. When I got married 50 years ago ❤ didn’t know if we’d be able to keep the farm we had purchased. We never got a billion dollars, but a lot of work and 4 precious children.

    Dear Jessie
    I just finished your book series "The Flyboys of Sweet Briar Ranch" and wanted to thank you so very much for down to earth christian stories. I don't know why but I felt connected to Larks and Jebs story line. It affected me and moved me to tears when Lark's heart was broken in so many pieces, along with jeb's heart as well. I found myself wishing that my town here in Oregon would have a match making mascot to find me a God fearing cowboy. Anyway, I just wanted you to know how your series meant so much to me, not just the enjoyment of listening but also in lessons regarding life and marriage how God intended it to me. One question though, in the epilog of the 13th book, it mentions a new character Ezra Thatcher, will there be a book 14 or a new series...if a new series, please let me know the title.
    Thank you with love and admiration Belinda from Oregon

    • @JessieGussmanauthor
      @JessieGussmanauthor 8 місяців тому

      Dear Belinda,
      Thank you so much for such a sweet, encouraging note! I'm so glad Lark and Jeb's story was a blessing to you. There might not be matchmakers in your Oregon town, but I suppose God is the ultimate matchmaker and He knows your heart's desire. Just sometimes His timing is not ours and waiting is hard.
      About Ezra - he and his family have stories in our newest series, starting with A Cowboy's Forever Faithful. Jay is absolutely amazing at bringing his book to life and I am so grateful for the work he does to get these stories performed, produced and posted here on UA-cam. You can find Ezra's story here: ua-cam.com/video/j50tFCUk7cw/v-deo.html
      Thanks again for your kind words and for your sweet note. Love and hugs, Jessie Gussman

In today’s world sacrifice and keeping your vows is something that is frowned upon, but for a Christian’s is a display of character. I am glad that both are represented in this book. So, where’s the next part to this story? What happen to Travis and Ellen? Not sure what I really thought of Jeb. Actually I thought he was a real jerk. Marry for money, wrong! 17 years later for Lark and him. It’s a wonder she still wanted him! Donna didn’t seem as sick as it seemed, especially when she meant Lark and acted all lovey dovey with Jeb. So where the continuing story? I did I miss it or is it in another series. Thanks…lol. It’s hard when you get invested into these characters. 🤪🤷‍♀️👍❤️ Great series! Great narrative! ❤️📖📖❤️

      Ha! I'm so glad you're invested in the characters! Jay has an amazing way of making them real and pulling listeners right into the action! And, I agree, Jeb made a bad decision (and I can really relate to that - I'm old enough to know better and still making bad decisions!) Lark is a better person than I am, but I'm working on being better. (Or maybe I should say Jesus is still working on me. I'm grateful He hasn't given up on me yet. : ) As for Travis and Ellen, their story will hopefully be coming out in January - it will be the first book in our new Sweet Water series, A Cowboy's Forever Faithful.

      Thanks Jessie. I truly love your storytelling skills and talent. It’s so funny how you can get so invested in fictional characters, but there’s so much truth in their stories. I also am so glad for Jesus redemption and love. I just had a hard time thinking Jeb would marry for money. I’m glad they finally got a great ending and Lark held on to her love for Jeb and Jeb finally got his girl. Looking forward to Travis and Ellen story. Plus will you continue the story of June and Wade, also? Your characters are so funny, crazy, likable and unlikable. Billy…lol! Oh my gosh! I truly enjoy your gift! It’s wonderful! ❤️📖📖❤️

      @@JesLovsu2 Yeah, I didn't like that about Jeb, either, but it wouldn't be realistic for him to be perfect - no one is, and if we're looking around for that perfect man in real life, we're going to be disappointed until our eyes land on Jesus.
      Yes! I've been thinking about June. I might take her out of Sweet Water and move her to Virginia. Maybe give her a few friends and a animal sanctuary to run or something. Maybe I'll put her near the Richmond Rebels. She's going to get a story!

    I have literally been waiting YEARS for this book, and, if you want the best experience, I’d recommend going waaay back to the original Sweet Water series and then reading the subsequent series that take place in the same town. But, that’s me, I want ALL the background information and connections. 😉 Aaaaanyways, I have been waiting forever and hoping for a “second chance” for these two. Aaaand once again Gussman reminds is that we do not know what in another’s heart and mind. Don’t be hasty or judgmental. Eek. I’ve gotten it a couple times with our characters… don’t jump to conclusions! Even if they seem “obvious.” A very good lesson in life. And, GASP, this book was amaaazing! Totally worth waiting for. It was a decadent meal of dessert! Ah. I just wanted to stay in it forever. I know, I know, I’m gushing, but seriously. I could read this book over and over again. And even more lessons on character, following God’s will and truly being open to whatever He has for you.

    I got an absolute kick out of learning how "Billy - the matchmaking steer" wound up in Sweet Water.
    I do have to ask, though... I seem to remember a portion early on where young Lark gets or finds a piglet, and brings it home... Was that possibly Munchie, the pig, who Billy is apparently head over hooves in love with, from the rest of the series?

    What is the name of the book in the epilogue the following book after this one?

      @JessieGussmanauthor Рік тому

      I believe it might be A Cowboy's Forever Faithful. That's Ellen's and Travis's story and it should come out in January if everything goes as planned. Is that the one you were thinking about?

      No @@JessieGussmanauthor The names mentioned were Ezra Thatcher and his sister’s bff Alice. Lark’s mother introduced him to Lark towards the beginning of this book. He and his siblings had just moved to North Dakota after their parents died.

      @@terimcdonald8409 OH! Thank you for the reminder! My plan (and sometimes that changes, so this could too) is to start the new series off in January with Travis and Ellen, then move into the Thatcher family. They have a ranch in Sweet Water and we'll have a bunch of books about them and their heas. I'm not sure what book, exactly, will be Ezra's or Alice's, but hopefully they'll be in that series. : ) Thanks for asking - I hope that helps! : )

      Yes, thank you very much. I appreciate it. I’ve been looking through all the books trying to find one that has those names in it but if it hasn’t come from your brain to put into his mouth yet then I understand why I haven’t found it!! All the books that I have listened to so far are very good. I appreciate what you’re doing and Jay as well.😊

      @@terimcdonald8409 I should put it up on preorder, so people can find it! Thanks so much for saying something. I'll put it on my list (which doesn't mean that it will get done, just that I'll feel guilty about not doing it yet. ; ) Thank you so much for your kind words! Jay has such an amazing gift of bringing stories to life - he really makes my books sound so much better than what they are. I've been blessed!

    I found that really hard to listen to, actually. I had to keep coming back to it. I'm not so sure I can buy the insta-forgiveness. Anyway, good story, but totally not what I was expecting.

    Will there be more books in this series?

      Hi Jaime! No, I'm afraid Jessie has said that this is the end of this series - BUT - she has announced another series taking place in Sweet Water, tentatively scheduled to start in 2024 🎉🎉🎉! Now, I don't have any other advance knowledge on the stories beyond what Jessie has announced, but she's said book #1 will be Travis and Ellen's story!

    Is there Ezra Thatcher’s story?

    • @SaywithJay
      @SaywithJay  2 місяці тому

      Hi Monita! Yes, there is (although his last name gets changed to Clyborne - writer's prerogative, I think it's called 😁). It's book two of the Sweet View Ranch series, A Cowboy's Growing Grace - one of Jessie's best, I think!

    What’s the next story!!!

      @SaywithJay  8 місяців тому

      Hi Dawn! This was the last story in this series; the next series jumped to Strawberry Sands, Michigan, but the current series (Sweet View Ranch) is back in Sweet Water, where this one took place. You can find the playlist for the Strawberry Sands Beach romances here: ua-cam.com/play/PLMynUTDTXHZr0h6syLrdchYS19RB2gKEB.html and the Sweet View Ranch playlist is here: ua-cam.com/play/PLMynUTDTXHZpWWF-rEJc5mncuD3-sameN.html . Hope that helps!
