You can also tell the the "fake or real stack marker" difference by looking at the stack markers - if there is a circle around the stack marker it is fake.
Example:
Fake - 10:34
Real - 10:42
This is true for the tank stack marker on icelit dragon song as well!

you can get lvl 500 just do your copied and puppets
@@future09021 its not worth it to do these raids anymore because of the next patch coming soon, but truth be told there is a big difference between BIS and tomestone gear iL 500. Alot of people dont understand that. The only way to get BIS is mixing raid and tomestone gear.
@@-LucidDreamer- true. bis is king but you have to consider that not all people are into savage, so if they just want to get to lvl 500 without the stat balance then they can do it the easy way but it'll be obsolete once 5.4 comes out though so..

I just started ff14 and found MTQcapture's first few videos. Easy enough - I started with Sastasha, Copperbell Mines etc, and wondered just how complex ff14 could get.
Fast forward through 7 years of videos and I see these crazy dance steps. Over the top!

I was interested in learning this... but dear God I'm lost!
On the tether debuff, as a tank, I got clipped by one that wasn't mine, but when it was my turn, I used 30% mitigation and still survived the next tether damage even though my debuff was still on.

The voice-over here is erroneous, though the text is correct. Both sets are the same and will explode if the chained players are too close or too far
Man I wish this game had a middle ground between "braindead enough so that people in a coma can clear it in the DF" and "you need to get a masters and a PhD to understand what the fuck is going on" difficulties.
extra tip for Ryne changing clothes, the text bar has a circle countdown, u can use that as a "cast bar" timer too; (if you're playing in other languages)

I have a fucked up audio/Discord situation, so I can't hear the audio cue. When she starts to glow, I look away. If anyone else can't hear the audio, that might help

if you always rotate towards the gap. shouldnt the dps be norrth and the tank go south on the left picture?

Little bit of feedback,
it is hard to differentiate your guides when looking for specific ones because the thumbnails are all the same.
Although it looks really nice, I didn't even notice the E#S in the top corner until I looked to see if it was even there.

Cleared eternity savage... but I don't know if I want to try this one.
Regarding Light Rampant, if you get the tethers in a square, it's much easier if you have the tank and the SE DPS swap so it's a bow tie instead of an hourglass and if it spawns as an hourglass, move clockwise one tower.
By doing it that way, you don't risk getting too close. If you're in an hourglass, you run the risk of the healer or SE DPS moving in too soon and getting too close to the tank or SW DPS respectively.
MTQ, First of all, I've been a while a great fan of yours. I'm a FFXIV player since 2013 and I've never been quite satisfied with my HUD layout since then. I play as a DPS (Dragoon mainly). Could you please, print or explain how do you set your HUD up? By the way, these last guides are awesome. They helped me a lot. Thank you so much. Keep doing your great job. From a Brazilian fan! :D

How do you burn down the aqueous adds as a melee?

Is this secretly an ultimate?
It's more that you do each combo only once, compared to Stormblood where the pattern was "combo 1 ==> combo 2 ==> combo 1". In the end the duration of the fight is similar to other fights (13 minutes-ish)
Not really no, in the span of 5min in an ultimate youd have about the same amount of mechanics from the entirety of shiva savage plus some.

I’m guessing you’ve never done any ultimates or savages. Guides that are made for ultimates tend to last around 1 - 2 hours. 30 minutes for an end of the tier savage fight is actually normal. It’s not very long.
ultimate guides are like 40-60 minutes.
I have problems with diamond frost. When I get knocked back, where do I have to stand exactly in order to be knocked to a position where I'm safe? If I stand directly at her hitbox, I'll be knocked back approximately half the way to the edge, while when I stand on the circle around the center, I'll be knocked back almost to the edge. In both positions, I did get hit by the star-shaped aoes from the puddles. Is there any way I can make sure to not get hit by them when preparing for knockback?
you stand just on the outside of her hitbox. the safe directions to stand will be where the first 2 Shiva Ice aoes form right as the 4 red aoe markers appear on folks.
@@jasperhighwind6119 yeah it turned out the dps didnt place their star markers properly, so there was no safe spot on the S/E corners, that's why I kept dying.

I dont see how 8:40 makes sense. If the WHM on the left needs to move in the direction of the next player that they're not chained with, should they not switch with the DPS south of them?

why people keep getting surprised about these videos been split into two parts like every other guide of the last boss of past tiers have had 2 parts as well XD on past expansions the last boss had basically 2 phases with a save point in between and usually the 2nd phase was always a 2 part video so you could consider those where videos divided in 3 parts lol

It often sounds harder then it actually is. With the proper bunch of people it is incredibly fun. If you are able to resist some frustration. The kill will feel even better.

@@TizzTv i know im 3 years late for this but just incase anyone recent sees it ,its not actually that hard if you are lucky and get the golden tether you just stand in 1 place the whole time then side step a lil for the aoe beams then see if you have 3 debuffs if yes go in middle if you have 4 dont and thats it.If you get white tether its abit trickyer just run opposite side of the orb then go clockwise to the tower soak it then move bk pop orb then check debuff to see if you need to go mid or not.
when i played ff14 i could never find people to do static with, my social skills sucks which was why i quitted and play other mmorpgs

There were so many better ways to do this that are easier with better uptime.
It's always easy to adjust with your group. Guides aren't set in stone the only way to do something

A guide is not designed to help teach the ideal way to resolve a battle, it is to teach you what happens in the battle. If you come to a guide for optimized tactic then I think you are using these incorrectly.
This fight looks like such a pain in the ass, I can't imagine wanting to waste time on it.
