To this day, my family and I will sometimes quote it when one of us says the word, even though it's been years since we've watched it. Oh well. At least your peeps on Patreon will get to enjoy it 😅 Great pick for the 4th. This was always one of those beloved summertime movies from my childhood back in the Midwest. It gives me nostalgia. I can almost feel the ward humid night air, smell the fresh-cut lawn and mosquito repellent/citronella coils/candles, see the yellow glow of fireflies as they blink around the yard. Fireworks in the distance over the lake can be seen pesking above the trees and buildings that prevent a complete view of the flashing explosions of glitter and noise. Going to see them was always a hassle because of how many people would show up and cause a traffic jam afterwards. We usually left a little early so we could beat the rush; walking backwards so I could still watch the finale. Sometimes there was ice cream, if the ice cream truck was taking advantage of the crowd, full of parents with children, teenagers with pocket money for Rocket Pops and ice cream sandwiches, inflatable swords to whack playfully at one another, bright neon glow stick necklaces and bracelets. Little Patriotic pinwheels made of plastic on a stick, noisy poppers that explode with a flash and a bang when you throw them on the pavement. Pavement still warm from soaking up the summertime sunshine. Backyard bonfires and family cookouts. S'mores and bratwurst, Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy and Berryweiss. Staying up all night and having fun with friends, going to bed when the sky changes it's cloak from inky indigo to cornflower blue. Thunderstorms.... I really miss them, they're pretty rare in California, where I've been living for the past decade. We do have them on occasion but they're not epic like the ones I grew up with in the mid-West. Wow, I didn't mean to write a friggin novella haha, glad you enjoyed the movie and Happy belated 4th to you 🎆🇺🇸🎇🇺🇸

This may sound odd but ive been watching you a long time and recently ive been saving your videos for when my wife is out of town. Nothing off color, let me explain. Hey Mr.Video! I loved this reaction. SANDLOT is one of my favorite kid's sports movies. My brother played baseball for quite a while, but didn't make the high school baseball team. He did wrestling & cross-country instead. But, when he was in Little League, our dad was his coach. During practice, I was the one hitting the baseballs to the boys & having the pitchers practice trying to strike me out. I've been hit by a few wild pitches. Ouch! - U know how the dog's owner was blinded by a fastball. Back in 1994 while I was doing volunteer work @ a convalescent home, I met a French Canadian man who had played professional baseball for a Canadian team back in the 1930s. He stopped playing baseball because he was hit by a fastball on the side of his face. It fractured his cheek bone, jaw & knocked out some of his teeth. He told me that was the end of this career. They didn't wear batter's helmets back then.
Nice to see you react to this one man, was one of the one's who suggested it. Glad you thought it was a fun movie, and gave you a nostalgic vibe. Not a baseball movie, but another sports movie (hockey/comedy) you should definitely check out is Goon (2011) I think you'd really like it.
