THE NORTHOVER RIDGE: Epic 3-Day SOLO Adventure in Harsh Weather | Kananaskis, Alberta

- This trip almost didn’t happen due to uncooperative weather, but I spotted a brief window of clear skies between the rain and snow that allowed me to tackle the Northover Ridge-an epic journey I’ve always dreamed of doing. Despite the mix of rain, wind, and snow, the trail exceeded my expectations. The buzz surrounding Northover Ridge is well-deserved, with its stunning sub-alpine and alpine views stretching as far as the eye can see!
Sadly, I had to leave my dog Ginny at home since the trail isn't suitable for dogs, making this a truly solo adventure. The challenging autumn weather kept most hikers away, so I essentially had the entire trail to myself. - Розваги
Nice to see the improvements at the campground.
Yea, the campgrounds were both very nice. Especially Aster Lake.

Awesome page!👍👍👍
Thanks so much!
love the fungi !! who films while you are walking from behind and ahead?
Yes, I love all the strange mushrooms. A lot of variety within the fungi kingdom!
No other person, I film it all myself. Tricks of the trade ;)
@AlexRezansoff that's a lot of extra,work for yourself , great job !!
Great Video. One of THE best 3 day trips close to YYC with epic views. Since you've got that beautiful UL tent, have you thought about upgrading your pack?
Thanks Tyler! Yup, a new pack may be in the budget for this year. Any suggestions?
@@AlexRezansoffneed a Kakwa to match the tent :)
I've heard great things about the Kakwa. Do you have one? If so, does it live up to the hype?
@@AlexRezansoffI do not. I have a couple HMG (Hyperlite mountain Gear) packs. A Unbound 55, Southwest 2400 (40L) and a Waypoint 35. All packs are made of DCF same material as your tent.
