- We visited the Louvre museum in Paris in under 3 hours. We saw Mona Lisa, Raft of Medusa, Winged Victory of Samothrace, Venus de Milo, Psyche Revived by Cupids Kiss (total of 22 pieces of art). After, we grabbed a bite to eat with Vincent au Petit Vendome (near Place Vendome) and got to see the Arch of Triumph wrapped installation by Christo & Jean-Claude. Enjoy!

What To Know Before Visiting Le Louvre (Best Ticket Options) 👉bit.ly/LeLouvreTicketOptionsandTours
Hi thank you for wonderful videos with so much information and clarity. So, for Louvre I should buy an entry ticket priced at €22 and again skip the line ticket separately, which is priced differently on different websites? Thanks in advance for your answer.
Psyche and Cupid is my favorite piece of art ever. I literally stood there for 20 minutes just admiring it.
For us over 70 folks, avoid summer and go on Thursdays as it opens, then at 1 p m jump on the metro back to your hotel, and take a short nap. Return and stay until closure.
I’m in my 40s and that sounds great to me!
I'm 42 and will do this next time!😊
Oh I thought you buy a ticket for a specified and you Have to enter at that time? Like I dunno if I should allow 3 hours or 5 hours or a full day like a Friday when they close late 😂 I assume there might be a cafe or something where you could grab a snack or gardens if you need a break maybe? I’m so undecided what time to book an entry ticket for
I am visiting Paris in the next few weeks and I got to say, you guys are my favourite Paris travel vloggers! Really enjoy your videos and learnt so much. Thank you!
I agree! You are the best bloggers to follow for Paris! Will you travel to Italy and make a few videos? We are traveling to Paris in May, and Rome, and Florence. Learning much. Thank you. ❤
Me and my Mom visited Le Louvre 10 years ago today during our Paris and Mallorca trip. She passed away from Covid complications in August. It was nice seeing so many of the places we walked through in your video, it brings back lots of fond memories.
Cela fait 40 ans que j y vais je découvre chaque fois des beautés
Les Frenchies! Thank you so much for compiling the “must see” list. It kept us focused, and we never felt overwhelmed. This allowed us to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience during our 48 hours in Paris ! When we left after 2 hours, we didn’t feel regretful that we may have missed something .
Your channel has been beyond valuable for our Paris trip planning. I will recommend it to anyone traveling to Paris.
Nice explanation, very enticing couple, leading their knowledge and expertise by humility, and honesty. I love them from now on.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Cannot wait to see more of Paris 🖤
My advice is to book a guided tour. You get to see all the best art with no stress.
You are both such great narrators and guides. Love the fact you can be so serious and educational, but at the same time funny and matter of fact.
keep this going.
Thank you!
Thank you so much guys for sharing your videos! I love your energy! I also love how informative your episodes are. XOXO from San Diego!
I’m yelling “in the red salon!!”😍😍
I miss you guys 💖 it’s so nice to see you having fun
Thank you for sharing this video😊
This was so helpful, we printed the cheat sheet and enjoyed seeing the lourve within 3 hours. Thank you .
You guys must be exhausted! I am just watching on my tablet in my easy chair and I am tired! Great video I saw more than when I lived in Paris in 1968 and I am still alive to enjoy all your interesting videos. Regards from Montreal Canada 🇨🇦
I remember being in the Louvre in the 60's (yes, last century 😉) and I was just as overwhelmed by the collection. So if you want to see something in particular you must rush, with eyes closed, to that specific painting or sculpture otherwise you will be exhausted before you reach it. Not physically, but there is so much to see and all beautiful.
You have made an excellent video on this subject. Thank you very much.
We bought a guided tour online from the Louvre website before coming here yesterday. Anyway, I made sure I clicked on the English tour. Today, we learned I booked the French tour. There was no way we were going to wait on a physical line to get a refund, so we just wandered the museum. We had a great time regardless, and yes we got lost as well. Try finding a bathroom when you really need to go. Finally, don’t miss their restroom Angelina.
Thanks so much for making this video. I loved it!
I love these guys! I will be visiting Paris in a couple weeks, so excited
My new fav vlog channel
Mine too.
Great review and advices, thank you.
What a fun-loving couple you all are- I love your videos! Can't wait to see your beautiful city with my family in August!
You both are just fantastic, a pleasure to watch!
Thank you so much for the sheet
I just love you both!!!
Thank you.
I enjoy your tour and other discoveries in France. I also enjoyed the desserts and how to take the metro .❤️🇫🇷
Great highlights!
I truly love all of your episodes! You're a lovely couple!
thank you for the guide!
I had a great time at Louvre. Thank you for your video!!! It's super helpful 💕
Thank you for showing us your truthful experience. 😄
Lived in Miami when Christo wrapped the islands….we took our boat out to circle them, and were not fans …maybe if we had seen from the air! Frankly, I’m glad the Arch will be “unwrapped” when I get to Paris in June! Merci pour les videos! I appreciate them and have gotten so much good information from you two!
Avoid the long busy entrance line at the pyramid and enter through the underground mall entrance stairs next to the Arc/arch closer to the Tuileries.
Awesome!
wonderful!
Great video, thanks!
Thanks for the super informative videos, and for also giving me a good laugh. As many times as I’ve visited the Louvre, and as much as I’ve planned my route, I almost always end up turned around and completely lost! It actually took lots of determination to finally find the Venus de Milo on my last visit. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the jewels, so I now have something new to search for when I finally get back.
Great video again!! Love it ☺️👍👍👍
Thank you so much for the video❤️
I am addicted to your excellent videos. Merci beaucoup. Having visited the Louvre 9 times since 1967 and not being a "marathon runner", I haven't seen everything yet! I quickly understood that to really appreciate each piece of artwork and with this constant crowd of tourists, it was necessary to take time and make a choice of the art department at each visit, in particular the painting dept. 👍👏👏
Love your videos. We will be in Paris next week doing all the things you have recommended.
love you guys! thank youx
@@LesFrenchiesTravel heading over with young teens on Friday staying in Marais. Your videos have given me the confidence I needed to just go for it!
Excellent
Love your channel!
Such a fun video!
It was so funny and sweet of you, that you got lost in Louvre🤣🤣🤣..that was a surprise for me..thanks again for this nice video
You are such a great couple giving very good instructions. We will visit Paris soon and your Support is very much appreciated. Thanks Dankeschön
Heh, just came across this after our recent trip that left us as confused and frustrated in the Louvre as the beginning of this video. I swear, I said on more than one occasion, "OMG, more stairs?!?" But the moment for me was stumbling into the room with the Venus de Milo and not expecting to see it. That was truly magical.
Hi Antoine & Colleen! I just arrived yesterday. I got to my hotel fine by taking the train and transfer to metro. Thanks so much for your videos. I was a little bit scared because my flight was delayed and arriving at Campo Formio station at 9:15. I was lost looking for Rue Esquirol because it was dark but I just followed Google maps. Couldn’t sleep before telling you both THANK YOU SO MUCH❤
Thank you so much for this amazing video ,just want I was looking for , you two are my new favorite couple ❤️
@@LesFrenchiesTravel thank you I would like more info on Montmartre , bus transportation and best place to find made in France souvenirs 😃
We had a guided tour that allowed access prior to the public opening. Didn't cost all that much and the tour guide showed us the highlights in about 3 hours followed by lunch and private browsing. The tour guides are often educated in art history and provided a lot of color and information.
@marteanderson796 - can I ask who you used?
Who did u use???
Your videos inspire passion in me
Cool tour guys thanks from Oakland cali
I too had a plan and got so turned around 1st trip to louvre!! laughed so hard! great tips and absolutely loved the music you put in to this video!! great work!
Gonna be there for 2 weeks in September so your videos are very, very helpful. Thank you!
Can you believe that I’ve been to Paris 3 times and have NEVER been to Le louvre? I always just end up taking the metro to neighborhoods and then walking around looking at the buildings and people. I should go see the museums some day
Louvre without big crowds, what a dream!
Everyone gets lost in the Louvre... Loved the le Petit Vendome added on to the video, I'll have to try it next time we are in Paris.
Thanks for the great video, glad you like Paris. Come back anytime soon to visit us (French here). Maybe you should have mentioned tricks to avoid standing in the queue to enter (Fast track). Loved the music too.
We LOVED le petit Vendome, thank you for recommending it! We dined there 3 times during our stay this past July. The best burger, escargot, onion soup, fries, Creme brûlée.... basically anything we ordered was amazing. Will have to try the Flottante and charcuterie and jambon beurre next time 😋
I watch your videos nightly in preparation for my upcoming trip. Love all of them. In this video, I love the lady's expression as Colleen walks past her when you are both lost two minutes into the video. It's perfect timing, lol. Nice little unplanned scavenger hunt;) . Can't wait!
Thanks for this informative video! I had a laugh at the beginning with both of you getting lost even with a plan! 😁I downloaded your louvre guide, hopefully they don't move or relocate the art pieces so we can follow your guide. Thanks again!👍
Fantastic video. I really enjoyed the Louvre, but glad I didn't have to walk those stairs. Thank you
And the fortress area is cool; that’s new within the last 10-15?? to be able to see it
Thanks for a great video, but the comments are very helpful too as we are planning to visit Paris with my son for the first time very soon. Thank you all!
Your channel is SO helpful! Me and my husband will be there in 2 weeks from today! When you ordered le burger auvergnat at Le Petit Vendôme, did you have to specify how you wanted the burger cooked?
Yes I did, I like it rare
WOW
Just like you, I visited le Louvre 40 years ago. I should check it out again soon. :)
We were also lost there, it's like a big maze!
Heading there in the morning. Thanks for the video. Im certain that we will get lost now lol.
Hi, I am from India and got the opportunity to make a Project on the Louvre. Although on my wishlist, but through your amazing Travelogue it helped to immerse in Paris and Louvre especially. Thank you for the nice video.
Salut
Je vais allèe au Paris en juin
Merci beaucoup. les vidéos sont super
Happy travels!
the last time i visited the Louvre the Mona Lisa was in a glass cabinet in the middle of the room and it was so difficult to take a photo without getting other people in the photo . so man people in such a small room . amazingly the painting is very small in real life and it looks so much bigger in your video
Could not get enough of Louvre when i lived in Paris.
If you go for Psyche and Cupid, do not miss The Three Graces and Sleeping Hermaphrodite On Bed.
Absolutely gorgeous sculptures .
Louvre Antique (ruins) is a wonderful naturally cool place during hot summers ;)
And this charcuterie was a piece of art too ...
I used to say I could spend a year in the National Gallery in London just savoring the art.
There is SO much to see!
great video! can you make a video about how to visit the Château de Versailles efficiently? i’ve been reading about the long lines to get in and the big crowds inside
@@LesFrenchiesTravel i’m waiting for the covid restrictions to ease a bit, hopefully this fall or early winter
Will be looking forward to this, was planning to come this month but had to change to early January with Eurostar, Versailles in 2 hours?
Great video What camera did you use in the Louvre? Wondering if there is enough light for good shots with GoPro
Wow...I had no clue what I would see. The art is astounding. Pieces I have not thought of since my art history class. Is there anytime when the foot traffic is not so high? I don't like crowds
good video
Hello. I am watching all of your videos on Paris and have more questions. I will be in Paris for one week in late May to early June and would love to connect with you. Love your videos!
Rick Steves has a great audio guide for free.
Laughed when saw the beginning...my daughter and I were there in 2017 and we too "had a plan" but were also hopelessly lost (and hot, and grumpy). Kept ending up at the same set of stairs (we think???). Could NOT make sense of that map. Thankfully we got sorted. Hoping for a smoother experience when my husband and I go in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the video.
Do they have guides to take you around?
Interesting. I'm taking a friend from Japan to Paris on a day trip next year. It's her first time, so I want to tick the Tour Eiffel and the Louvre off the list. I think three hours at the Louvre is probably enough for a first visit. I went three times and did a different wing each time when I was in Paris.
Great video. When you depart Dinan wing to go to Sully, I’m I correct in understanding one must always return to the pyramid (no passages between wings?
Great Video. Currently, I cannot find a ticket for the 1 week of July. Any recommendations?
hello is Mona Lisa a separate ticket from the museum ticket? thanks
You guys are the best! All your videos are soooo helpful! I will be visiting Paris this summer. I would like to have some advice on how to visit Paris with a older lady (67) and a child (10 yrs). I am going for 3 days and I was thinking to do the batobus for some of the attractions.
i just need to comment, love the music where u got lost...hahaha =) we bought only a timed ticket so we will navigate also on our own which we will do on our 1st day once we arrive...hehehe =)
Hi again. does the main attractions(Eiffel, louvre, arc triomphe) allow camera backpacks? Have a large lowepro backpack for my gear.
the Louvre overwhelms, the reason why it can't be my favorite; with so many people, there is just no way to contemplate the art there. i prefer the Musee D'Orsay and the museums that hold particular thematic or periodic pieces (impressionist art, Rodin, etc.).
@@LesFrenchiesTravel unfortunately, I did not make it to that part on the outskirts of Paris. but apropos of Parisian tours, I was once toured by a friend on something he called "Paris Inconnu"; just a walking tour to a part of the city that had canals!!!
What‘s the fastest way from the entrance to the Mona Lisa. I want to see it first and then enjoy the rest.
Can I ask what time you visited the Louvre as it looked less crowded? Like what day/time is the best time to go and visit?
Hi! We’re visiting Paris on Nov. Trying to book a timed ticket in the Louvre website. I wanted a skip the line. Is that the skip the line ticket and the museum ticket? Or do i have to buy a separete ticket that says “skip the line” like in viator, then buy a museum ticket? Love your videos! Very helpful in our planning!
Love your videos but small correction, Psyche and Cupid by Antonio Canova not Vanova.
I don’t get that art installation either, Antoine. It does look like a termite tent.
