This is a very cool spot to check out during the week. Weekends can be hit or miss as there is limited parking. There are some great connecting trails that extend to Cochran shoals. Definitely worth checking out. Thanks for watching and the support!
Love those hikes to Old structures or cool locations like that! I'll have to check that one out soon. Congrats on getting monetized that's a huge accomplishment for UA-camrs!
An Adventure with Nick & Rachel it’s nice to have so many options with the Chattahoochee River National Recreation areas in my backyard. Going to be doing a series of these places over the next several weeks. Can’t wait for the temps to get cooler. Time to head back to mountains. Thanks for watching and the kind words. Let’s keep moving!
Thank you for watching and the kind words. Glad to hear you enjoy the style I film these videos as I try to provide the viewer a perspective as if they were hiking with me. There is a ton of in-town hikes around Atlanta that I will be releasing over the next couple weeks so stay tuned! Cheers
Awesome! I went on a Friday and there was hardly anyone there so it felt like i had the entire area to myself. There are three ruins at this location. It was an old paper mill that used to print currency and was burned down by the union during the civil war. Thank you for your support and hopefully you will enjoy the video. Cheers
YES! You put patches all over your pack too! Great video. Loved the different views and perspective shots of the ruins. This is now on my list of hikes to do next time I'm in GA. Do you know if the trails in this area are dog friendly?
On most of my day packs, they are covered with patches from all over. Wish more places offered them on less popular trails. Very lucky to have the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Areas within minutes of my home. Yes, these areas are dog friendly, but you have to keep them on a leash. Thank you for checking out this video and hopefully you will be able to visit these areas as well.
@@MetroOnTheMove Once in a while I find a few folks on Etsy that make patches for lesser known areas. I hope I do get to check some of these places out. Good to know a four-legged friend can tag along. Thanks for the info!
@@SeagrasstoSassafras Anytime my friend! Will check out Etsy for the lesser known patches. There is so much to explore in Georgia and I am glad that you have found value in these videos. Keep up the great videos!
We just spent some time exploring and getting lost in the woods by this old mill fortress. Enjoyed your video! Wish we would have watched it before totally getting lost and hiking way more than we had planned to HAHA! a few of the trail maps arent clearly defined as to where the old mill is.
There are a bunch of trails that connect and it goes all the way down to Cochran shoals. Glad you enjoyed the video and had a chance to explore the area. Cheers
Looks like a very interesting place to hike , love old history with structures. Thanks for sharing!
