Finally an old VR6 on Your chanel, thank You, Misha!!🫡 I am currently in the process of renovating my Vento VR6 and, when it's done, I am going to visit Nürburgring. I can't wait for it!!
In 1990, I bought the first G60 Corrado (also in green) ever to come to the Atlantic provinces of Canada, and looked to ‘upgrade’ to the first VR6 engined Corrado SLC when it arrived. But despite the brilliance of the VR6, the extra weight (more than 400 lbs) and the more luxury suspension tuning (tall like it was on stilts compared to the G60) took away the nimbleness of the more powerful SLC. Too much Luxury at the expense of Sport for the newer Coupe. That said, it remains one one of the greatest cars I’ve ever owned and I miss it dearly (currently the garage include a 991.2 Turbo, Taycan 4S, and Cayenne EHybrid). 11 years of ownership; 495,000 kms, and not a spot of rust- still the factory beeswax formulated undercoating dripping from vent holes in the hatch when I sold it. Karmann did an amazing job building these cars, and much of the tech was leading edge. If memory serves (correct me if mistaken), the fuel injection system was the same as used in the 911 Turbo of the same timeframe (Bosch Motronic???) for example. R&T declared the G60 the best handling front drive car ever in its first test with a great photo of the magic of the trailing arm: ‘inside rear wheel aloft’. You can see in your video Misha, the car rotating on several occasions, very neutrally thanks to this characteristic - would have been awesome to get some shots trackside at some choice corners. Kudos to the owner for retaining a largely stock appearance to the car. Loved watching this video, thank you.
When I was younger my ex’s dad had one of them people carriers with the VR6 sounded like a plane so of course I had to buy a corridor wasn’t exactly the best daily but it was a very good car though after a custom exhaust sounded amazing
I had Golf VR6, it was my dream car also. BBS rims, metallic black, sunroof. After 2 months of owning it a drunk driver hit me, he had no insurance so i had to sell crashed car.
This takes me back - I had the opportunity to drive the Golf GTi Mk2 and Mk3 at work and the Corrado was always the alternative for people who didn't want or couldn't get the Golf - fond memories! Also looking at the switchgear - did they share stalks with the Audi 80 at the time ? :)
I test drove a used Corrado in the 90's and it was awesome. Too bad i couldn't actually afford it at the time. I also got pulled over by a Vancouver cop because it had a ridiculously loud catback exhaust with a 5" tailpipe. I just told the cop it was a test drive, so he let me go with a warning.

Interesting comment. Thanks for the compliment :) I must say I liked the C63 too though!
Love the color.
One my dreams is to go to the ring with a cpl of my cars. The Appalachians where I live has some twisty roads I have learned to drive on
Great now I have that Paolo Conte song stuck in my head 😂
VW Masterpiece 👌
Finally an old VR6 on Your chanel, thank You, Misha!!🫡
I am currently in the process of renovating my Vento VR6 and, when it's done, I am going to visit Nürburgring.
I can't wait for it!!
Oddly enjoyable. Had ASMR vibes!
Great car! Beautiful sound.
This is a car that can only break the record of how wide your smile is
Love it ♥️
Corrado FTW
I'd like one with the 280hp DI VR6 like in the Touareg.. that would liven it up, though stock power is probably fine I imagine.
I had Golf VR6, it was my dream car also. BBS rims, metallic black, sunroof. After 2 months of owning it a drunk driver hit me, he had no insurance so i had to sell crashed car.
Ringtraktor spotted?
Love the sound of the VR6!
dream car! Golf II GTI and Corrado are the best still in 2024 and the manual gear
I had a Corrado G60 for few years, about 10 years ago. Such a cool car, made great noises. Regret selling it.
A lad I went to college with had a VR6. crazy Daryl.
well overdue mis-shift to start the season off, in classic misha fashion
I test drove a used Corrado in the 90's and it was awesome. Too bad i couldn't actually afford it at the time. I also got pulled over by a Vancouver cop because it had a ridiculously loud catback exhaust with a 5" tailpipe. I just told the cop it was a test drive, so he let me go with a warning.
Got a red vr6 1992 sitting in drive way full cardo vr6 with full karam interior think my callibra 4x4 20 turbo was faster but crashed it in the 1997 years now ono done 6 speed gear ⚙️ box in the 1997 yearer so bought cardo vr6 red got mine at 19 im 48 still in driveway
