It’s one of my favorites along with Troy’s older shortcut challenges and his old custom track streams.
It's nice to see you starting to care for the Tour tracks! I remember when we first played Sydney Sprint in a video together years ago before the BCP you weren't really into it. Retro Rewind is adding a lot of bangers. Didn't expect Slimeserver's Choco Island to get added since it's so wildly different from the original, but I'm very happy to see it.
I think some of them need polishing but overall they’re growing on me!
that choco island is really really cool. I wish there were more custom tracks with that level of polish!

@@ivaanangulo9416 you didn’t need to add cash grab in there. But to answer your question, r stands for reverse, and t stands for trick.
Reverse mode features versions of existing tracks fully playable in reverse. Usually made by adding a ton of ramps and rearranging some of the existing assets of the original courses.
Trick mode, though, is an entirely different game mode entirely. Score becomes a thing in trick mode, and the entire point is to do as many tricks in quick succession as you possibly can to build up your score.

I remember my favorite thing when I was young was frantic items on baby park on MarioKart Double dash. It just made you get so many character items, it was amazing.
2-3 giant Bowser shells bouncing around the track at any time was so chaotic

The Wii U Mario Circuit looks like there is a feature to turn off hazards and I do wonder if the Mega Thundercloud ignores the Proximity feature in Random Items set or not

Retro Rewind looks very good and promising and I REALLY want to play it but the one thing that's holding it back for me is the lack of Gamecube Controller Support for Wii U users
My Wii remote is very finicky so it's not ideal and I have no other options. Gamecube works for CTGP but not this so I haven't been able to play it
Hopefully that gets fixed, if possible! Or there's another workaround. I really want to play Retro Rewind, it looks soooooo goood

Hi Troy, as you may or may not remember, I asked you on your last stream if you could play mario kart wii galaxy. I wanted to ask if you would like a sort of update on it. The update has even harder cpu's and custom music for 124 of the 204 custom tracks. If you read this, let me know if you want that!

What are all the game modes in retro rewind?
I'm intrigued to pick this up. Is the online relatively active? As a dolphin user, we don't have as many options, and it's tricky because we can't join friends in "regional" servers.

golden mushroom needs a buff
i think this mod is fun and good entertainment, but if you think about it, it pretty heavily favors front-running. Top spots will on average pull better items, and bottom spots will on average pull worse items

I still believe that the Thundercloud should be 50% Mega and 50% regular without any cues. Should be more interesting because you don't know if you should keep it or pass it. 50/50 chance.
I think it's pretty important that the player knows the effect of the cloud. If they don't know whether they want to keep it or to pass it, they won't try to do either. The interest comes from trying to steal / trying to dodge the person with the cloud, and if you see someone with a randomized cloud I think you'd just have to treat it like a thundercloud since in general no one wants a 50% chance of being shocked even if there is a possible upside. On the other hand I think your idea would be really cool if it was visually obvious whether the cloud was a mega cloud or regular thundercloud since then they would at least be interacting and would know how to play around it!
