I purchased a box as well, which I was willing to take a risk on with the hopes I wouldn't be scammed and believing none of the items would fall into a DIY category (the order wasn't listed as DIY). One of the four items, a pair of Gucci heels, had a huge gash on the back of the heel above the tip. I brought this up with customer support with the hopes I could exchange them. Their response, "After partnering with my team in regards to the Gucci heels you received, we can consider these acceptable for any of our Rescues box. As the overall description for all Rescues boxes states these items are heavily discounted and may have flaws."
@mismatch6292 Ouch!!! Y here have been $140 designer boxes with better items in them. I will break even on this box . $150 per item was not a price for resellers and the sizes varied too greatly for one person to wear. I gambled. I lost.
I'm surprised you didn't win the argument with Thredup regarding the Gucci heels. I too received an item the required repair. The Versace glasses were twisted out of square so they sat crooked on the face. You are right to state that Thredup didn't mention the items were in need of repairs.
Hopefully the Burberry coat and the Louboutins shoes will get you your money back on the box. I know we were all expecting better boxes though. Thank you so much for sharing!
Update: Sold the Louboutin shoe's for $305.24.and earnings after all fees $258.97. Burberry jacket sold for $249.45 and earnings after all fees $191.37. I had virtually no interest in the shoes. I had massive interest in the jacket but all the offers were very low on all sites. The jacket must go thru Ebay authentication and then fit the buyer. The shoes still need to fit. Lol
I actually think the items were wonderful. Ralph Lauren is a very hot brand right now. Belts are very in. And all leather alligator belts will do very well. I just think they are trying any tactics to sell these boxes at a higher price and it kind of rubs me the wrong way. The type of things they would have to put in for people to really make their money back as a reseller are things they’re not going to put in to many of these boxes so just beware.
2 month Update: The Loubouton shoes were returned on Ebay because they didn't fit and resold on Poshmark for $300 with a payout $240. The Ralph Lauren Belt sold for $75 on Poshmark with a pay out of $60. The Burberry sold on Ebay for $265 with a payout of $191.84. Versace eyeglasses UNSOLD. Total pay out after 2 months $491.84. Profit $41.84 on $450 purchase. Except I paid $50 in shipping and taxes... so a current loss of $8.16. I gambled and lost! I am thankful that I can work out of a buying mistake but that isn't my goal...lolllll
I got similar Burberry coat is Small sold it for $90 on Poshmark. The most those are going for is $160. Maybe Medium will bring $. Good luck. Nothing spectacular in these expensive boxes.
They put ralph lauren in there, that's terrible. Thank you for doing this video it was very well done. The louboutins and the burberry jacket should put you into profit. That was a rough box though, I'll stick to the DIY boxes.
Each item would need to sell for $180 each to break even on the box with fees accounted for.....or 2 items for $360 each. I can break out of the Burberry ($200) and Louboutin ($200) but I will take big losses on the RL belt and Versace frames. The frames are twisted and a total loss unless I can heat them with a blow dryer and reshape. Even then, they sell for $30 to $70. I really just expected better items. Really, this would have been a good DIY Designer box for $140. It's not a $450 caliber box.
@@theresakralik1820 I would contact thredup about the frames being twisted. This isn't a DIY box, they shouldn't be sending you damaged products. The ralph lauren you might be able to get 125$ out of, I've actually seen up to 180 so that wouldn't be bad. The small size sort of sucks though. I haven't looked into the comps on that pair of louboutins but they were in pretty good condition you might be able to squeeze a little more out of them but you'd probably have to sit on them. I'm just trying to think optimistically though because that wasn't the best box. I really do wish you the best of luck and I hope you get more money than expected.
@kristinaarsenault3357 I heated the frames with hot water and over the course of a few days I was able to straighten. I have had glass frames snap or torque enough to lose a lens. I can sell them now. Progress.

I make very good money reselling as a rule. I make a living at it. It paid for my house the last 20 years which is now paid off. It just hurts sometimes to try some new. Definately
Louboutin shoes are weird design. I would prefer them simple plain front with no braiding. These items are regular DIY designer box quality for $150 total Not Worth $450 at all. Scam!

Love your adventurous spirit!
@@debbiecornell7882 Hi Debbie. This was not a great adventure. Lol. Feels a lot like Vegas.

Love the jacket! Shoes are really nice,too:-) Thanks for sharing:-)
Hello Theresa! These boxes were really a letdown! hope you make your money back & a little extra!

Wow you got a pretty good one. Should be able to make back your money and a profit I’d think. Thanks for sharing! ❤

@@KariTSays Wonderful but not profitable at the price point of this box.

I’m so sorry you have to sale the jacket sorry it wasn’t up for par
So sorry to see Ralph Lauren... that is def not a luxury brand
Not to me as well.
the amount I was spending on reselling to profit LOL I stopped and took that money and hit our PI on a mortgage

Not worth the money, but your box was much more impressive than mine!
