Background music credit goes to Misha Mansoor. Got myself a 21st birthday present. I've been wanting a 7-string baritone for about 5 years now and FINALLY it's here!
Congrats on the NGD, it’s beautiful! I have one coming in July through the Axe Palace. It’s the RG2027XLS (Satin Silver) with Stainless Steel Frets and Luminlays. Also, major props to you for playing “Breeze” by Bulb in the background. I love Periphery, but sometimes I miss the Soundclick days with songs like these!
Thanks dude! Yeah, I love his old stuff, so in these types of videos I like to play one or two old jams of his! And that XLS is sexy as hell in it's own right for sure, I just had to settle with one and figured I liked the finish on this one more, to add the fact I would've had to pay import tax if I ordered the Axe Palace run... I'd love to see an in-depth video on the XLS though, think you could do a review/unboxing video of it? haha.
Rubin Rahman Yeah, now that you mention it, I think I will do a review/unboxing when it arrives. It will be my first upload to UA-cam and what better way to start?! The wait is killing me!😂
@@DC33879 Honestly, with this kind of community, it's the best type of content to upload to UA-cam in my opinion. It's the easiest way to get talking about things we're all passionate about, and we do so respectfully. @@DC33879 Is that an ibanez m80m in your profile pic? If so, did you still got the RG2027XLS and care to say your opinion in which one do you prefer? I'm currently deciding to get one of those 2 and im really unsure.
I received mine 3 days ago, and I was a bit dissapointed I didn't get an Ibby sticker like you got, but otherwise same thoughts as you.. I feel the case could have a tighter fit. I like the re-vamped tool, because when I got my first prestige the tool was missing some of the tools
@@rubinrahman8934 There was one on Reverb a couple weeks ago and I missed it!! Thinking about a 2027XL just to have my favorite axe in a different tuning but man I love that middle single coil

@@andreykuralev3717 it's pretty versatile indeed! And the DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups are actually pretty decent all-round pickups too. I'll probably shoot another cover some time soon, if it's Tesseract I'll use the parallel neck position.
Really cool guitar and awesome dog. Was in a lot of doubt buying this guitar. I am not much of a 7-string player so I went with Ibanez prestiges with six strings. There line-up the last years is phenomenol, SS frets, luminlays, great pickups and finishes. I own now 2x JBM 100, 1x DCM (only 7 string I own) 100, rg5220 and rg 5120 and last a 652 ahm orange metallic awesome instruments. Ibanez is mostly known for there budget guitars but in my humble opinion it is there prestige/Japanese line wich is the most impressive also price wise.
For sure, for their price they are unbeatable. I freaked out when they brought back the XL's haha. For my next guitar I'm actually hunting down a J.Custom. I really like those blue burst RGA ones. That would become my main 6 string then, the one I currently have desperately needs work done.
This case was included with the guitar, I don't believe they sold it seperately. I believe the MR500C fits the XL's though, as it fits RG8's and 9's aswell, but that one is quite expensive too.
I love the axe, when I got mine there was one problem I found, the case. When I opened it there was that golden/yellow fluffy shit all over the guitar. Everytime I use it for travel I get this stuff all over it.
I have to agree, the plush is not as soft as I had imagined, compared to other prestige cases, and the hairs do get loose and stick to the guitar. Although, it has seemingly become less of an issue after owning the guitar for a few months and using the case semi-intensively.
I'd say it's a medium weight guitar, as far as 7 strings go it's relatively alright, but compared to 6 string guitars it leans towards the slightly heavier ones.
I now have a Discord channel up for those of you who want to share stuff with me, so hop on in!

Nice video man. I have the OG RG1077XL and it's my favorite guitar ever.
Man, the OG is crazy cool, I can see my irrational ass buy one if I ever see one pop up somewhere haha.

Nice! looking for a prestige 7 string, this may be the one....thanks for sharing!!
I can assure you, baritones are so awesome to play on! The intonation is spot on, the action is great, I can definitely recommend it!
I want this guitar too! Congratulations!

What tuning did the guitar come in from the factory? The product page says it comes standard which is strange to me.
It does indeed come in standard, Ibanez installs lighter gauge strings on these from the factory, .009 to .054 if memory serves me right.
@@rubinrahman8934 Interesting!!! Thank you for sharing :)
What is the case model? I can't find any info on which Ibanez cases fit their XL guitars (aside from the absurdly expensive UV1000)

Imagine that with a reverse headstock!
Geat Videos Bro! Does it have stainless steel or nickel frets?
Nickel! However there was a special run by The Axe Palace that had SS frets, and the guitar was silver too instead of blue.
Is this stainless steel frets or nickel?
Also what are the tuners?
Tuners are from Gotoh but I want to know the fret material too
Can u put away the guitar in its case with trem bar on?
Unfortunately not, but the trem bar pops right in and out without having to screw it in so it's not that big of a deal.
How about the weight? Is it heavy or light?
8ish pounds
I'd say it's a medium weight guitar, as far as 7 strings go it's relatively alright, but compared to 6 string guitars it leans towards the slightly heavier ones.
How much did it cost you?
It went for 1700 EUR incl taxes, really good value if you ask me!
