My reaction when I say the video is gonna be weird in the title and people are surprised when it’s actually weird:
How did you get those emojis?
@@CooperFThey’re for anyone who becomes a channel member. They are only usable on my videos though.
From Tech to Strange Gifts, Thio has reviewed everything at this point 😂
Disclaimer:
- Do not use these as actual gifts unless you want to be further disowned.
I mean, hey, they are way better than your old, ass, boring generic gifts like socks, perfumes or some prestigious alcohol brand no one has ever heard of and isn't even a drinker, or heck, even some cheap plastic crap whatever it may be someone might get you because they just like to be boring and never have ideas.. Those are certainly not something super special or even that good but dare I say that ice maker box or phone photo lens thingy are at least unique enough, and someone you know very well as a person up close and personal, might very well appreciate those. I greatly believe that at least those two could make someone's day as a genuine, working Christmas/birthday presents (whereas most of the other stuff on the list is more like a prank or just a quirk for even more specific people and most of those things really don't work for birthday or Christmas gifts)
Banana catsup is sooooo Filipino ❤🇵🇭 And it's actually red. Delicious.
Good thing the US don't have any of those low end Nutri-Asia ketchup
@@TheSMMDH Guess what, they do. Check yo local asian market
Man, those nail clippers look amazing. Might have to get some for myself
This kind of video is something I'd not have expected either.
Gonna get these for myself
I use silicone earplugs every night. They are much better than the foam type at blocking sound, and yes, they work really well in water for swimming.
I certainly didn't expect something like this when I opened the video, but it came at a great time for me, during a lot of personal chaos and lack of time to investigate gift ideas. I bought the soy sauce and banana ketchup for foodie relatives.... Thanks Theo
Month late reply, did your relatives enjoy the gifts?
@@Unbridled-Whimsy Sooo amazon allowed me to order the banana ketchup, then later apologized, saying it was already sold out.... "Sorry!!". I received the soy sauce, which comes very well packaged, and in a very nice bottle, but the prospective gift recipient only brought carry-on luggage to visit, so couldn't take it back home with her, so will have to give it to her at a future date. Life is complicated.
Thank you!! This is honestly so helpful, I have lots of troubles giving gifts and you really help save the day.
This video will provide me great luck for my finals later today, thank you Thio!

You are correct. I'd never considered banana ketchup. Sounds nasty, but I won't knock it till I've tried it.
Like sweet stuff on pizza, I said no way for years, finally tried a few different ones over the years and it's actually very good.
@@volvo09 Well I certainly do love pineapple on my pizza.
If these are the gifts you like now, I can't wait to see what kind of stuff you'll like when you are an 80 year old man... LOL.
Too bad our company's exchange gift happened just a hours ago. Nevertheless, I can still give them a banana ketchup.
I haven't seen or heard of any of these items🫠 but would love to try the banana🍌 Ketchup. I'm a big fan of putting Ketchup on everything I eat so this would be great to try. Also, I love bananas🍌I bet it's a unique taste🫠Thank you and have an awesome rest of your day☀️Thanks to all those behind the scenes🎥🎬🙃
I really like those extra long bandaids. I hate the “normal” sized one, the just keep falling off. I need to look for them here in Sweden.
Good list. Earmarked a couple, knew about a couple and others unaware of, but appreciate it, thanks.
Some brands of the vaccuum bags work much better than others. For storing bulky bedding and winter clothes, they're an incredible space maker.
Also great for travel, you can compress everything in your suitcase or keep the used clothes separate from the fresh ones. And they all stay dry, even in a pack or duffelbag in the rain.
Great stuff wish you do more of these.
Great list!
my god! quit your computer stuff day job, what you really are is a gift life-coach!
I've tried about every earplug on the market. The FLENS brand, sold in drugstores and industrial suppliers like Grainger, come in packs of 6? to bottles of over 100. They are the standard in printing press rooms and industrial job sites. Plain beige foam, looks old fashioned and uncomfortable, but they outperform everything else on the market. And when you buy a big cheap box, you can always give some to friends.
Vacuum storage bags? Is that for the whole vacuum? Never heard of 'em. I'll have to look that one up. This was a fun little video. Thanks ThioStay awesome!
love the classic 2013 video
thinkgeek would be proud, rest in unicorn farts
I've been very disappointed the last few years since they started making all bandages little, short things. They used to be 1"x4" with full size pads. Now ALL the crap is only 3" long and don't fit around the average finger! Maddening! Recently I went on the search for longer bandages and found these type. I've purchased a few boxes and think they will FINALLY do the job all bandages did in the past.
Hope you have a good Christmas Joe
I never thought I'd see soy sauce and banana ketchup on ThioJoe
Thats a cool video :D
This is like delving into a treasure trove of creativity and originality! Your unconventional approach resonates with the out-of-the-box thinking encouraged by @LisaHaisha during her retreat in the Philippines. Both your ideas and her teachings inspire me to embrace uniqueness and think beyond the ordinary in all aspects of life.
good and interesting video👍🏻
Cool vid, happy to see that the spam is over!
You can't say "keep listening" while you talk about Ear Plugs... 😂
i bought myself a geigercounter some years ago for my birthday :D
Silicone earplugs, it has sold in the country I live in for many years. I haven't tried them yet.
Cool video
This is very funny. I thought this was a technology and computer channel.
Common mistake! But this is actually a website on the internet. Whereas technology is a general concept and the computer is the physical device you're interacting with!
Thank you for showing the mistake in the comment❤❤.
I forgot to add the channel in the end of a comment it is mistake. I am really sorry if it offended you in any. Next time I leave a comment I will make sure there no mistake.❤❤😂🎉
helpful video but not expected this when i clicked on it , i was thinking about some tech on weird products 😂
Yep, you're right, this was a weird list. Especially given that there was only one tech item on it.
Philippine banana ketchup is super delish. I use it on everything I'd use regular tomato ketchup.
*banana ketchup!?* might have to try it
4x3 vacuum bag i need one that size. i have some big one but not this size. they tend to leak so i put them inside another packaging bag so when that happens it's still in its compressed state. i'll watch 13 tools vid tomorrow i'm super tired 😴🛌
The Gieger counter might benefit people the suspect or know about radon leakage in their home.
I bet you've checked radioactivity of that banana ketchup to estimate how much banana is actually there ;)
High quality stuff
buying the nail clipper :)
hmm bannana ketchup is sth will put on my toast (and pizza)
I'll definetly try banana ketchup, I don't know about the other things...
4:35 Nothing says "I love you" quite like a bandage that wraps around several times and won't fall off.
No seriously, I'm open to marrying whoever gifts me such a thing, I cant stand it when my bandage just falls off while I'm doing totally normal things!
I probably won't buy any but it was a unique list, I can't imagine what you put banana ketchup on? Does the label have suggestions?
It’s pretty good with fries
that silicon earplugs… waterproof
I've heard that in my country, banana ketchup is actually common.
(Even though I haven't seen banana ketchup in my life)
most underrated thiojoe vid
I'm getting the bandaids...
I will be honest, this is a very unique video on your channel, although I don't think most of these would really work well at all for a good gift for like birthday or Christmas. Most of these are just strange and not really all that useful to a regular person, and I can definitely guarantee a disappointment for most people unless you know a person really well and know they would appreciate any of those - The primary reason being, that those just seem like very cheap things to gift on a special occasion without much thought behind them at a first glance. The only genuine gifts from heart that I can think of from this list would definitely have to be the ice maker and maybe photo lens clip for phone but most of the other ones are really not a good idea, unless you just like being generic and boring. Personalized gifts that really do suit ones' tastes and personality really do work best - Or gifts that are related to your great memories with a person which you would like to get for someone to make more out of your time together in future - You have much better of a chance those kinds of gifts will be appreciated and that they will be still used for years on end, even if rarely or you might see someone using your gift you made them years ago daily and have some good memories of having made someone truly happy. That being said, I still appreciate the unique video idea and have to admit that most of these are still at least better than the most generic things you can get like perfumes, clothing (especially socks or underwear..) or cheap alcohol based drinks, cigs, vapes and all that stuff, which is what you really get a lot of those days. Sorry for writing out an essay on this, but definitely have a good day!
nice!
can't wait to eat some banana ketchup
Bannana ketchup is avaliable in the Philippines its like real ketchup i love it to
In Winnipeg, we have four(4) different flavours of Banna Ketchup sold in all of our major grocery stores. Its been sold in our Asian grocery stores for as long as I can remember. It's made in the Philippines and the non-spicy flavours are great for picnics because even once opened it doesn't require refrigeration. Saves space in the refrigerator too.
What does it taste good on?
@@freedomearthmoon1Basically anything that you would use regular ketchup on. And it doesn't need to be refrigeration AFTER you open the bottle. The brand sold here is made in the Philippines and shipped to Canada.
@@EvilDaveCanada Interesting, however, I don't think I would enjoy banana flavored french fry's.
@freedomearthmoon1 If you were blindfolded or couldn't see the bottle, you would not know that there were bananas in it.
@@EvilDaveCanada So it tastes like tomato ketchup?
this was really DIFFERNT, but I REALLY LIKED IT!!! there were actually some VERY INTERESTING Gifts Joe!! GREAT SELECTION!! (well, maybe not the vacuum bags... that was kinda... umm... generic I guess is the right word.... I would only give that to my IMMEDIATE FAMILY... because MOST LIKELY their first words will be "WTF?!?!" lol)
BUT, this seemed a little bit too 'off' of Your 'brand' Joe... BUT being it's Christmas time I think it's totally fine. BUT after Christmas you REALLY should stick with tech themed videos, IF you want to keep you core audience... well I would think. I'll still be here no matter what :) You're just a cool dude and I like what you have yo say :)
Maybe you could have another weird gift idea video, but make it tech themed.... and have some STRANGE things even if you KNOW people aren't gonna buy them...like a rare VCR/LaserDisc/DVD/NES/stereo receiver from Panasonic lol .... like you KNOW no one is gonna buy it, but it makes for a GREAT ENTRY in the WEIRD TECH GIFT video ... Yea, maybe that type of gift belongs in a separate video where ALL of the entries are that type of gift that no one would really buy for someone... not unless they REALLY know they wanted it... LOL
Sorry, I just finished two cups of coffee.... I'm gonna go stfu now and watch a video about LED's lol
I have heard and seen banana sauce (ketchup). It is a Filipino sauce. And the ones i have seen are red in color.
Honeyyyyy I think Joe's gone insane again...
In all seriousness, the video was actually great, don't think I'm gonna get any of the products (maybe the banana ketchup cause that sounded really interesting), but I loved the video nonetheless.
"Not that expensive" - ELEVEN BUCKS FOR A SMALL BOTTLE OF CONDIMENT!?!?
I just brought Banana Ketchup, because, I'm curious on how its going to taste, and more importantly the looks I'm going to get from friends and family.
Even my ex gf said I need to stop drinking wine, as I'm buying stupid stuff lol, but her friends have gotten hold of her phone and brought a vibrating rose bud and a set of butt plugs, so I think my banana ketchup is not that bad lol.
Who still remember years ago when we wrote smack on the comments section 😂😂
I bought a terrific nail clipper from Temu fo $1.97
BANANA KETCHUP!
I tuned into your video expecting to get some good info. Well, I'm sitting here staring at the computer screen wondering what I just saw. I think it was the products you picked to display. Question: Other than the band aids did you really buy the other items? I'm still staring at the computer screen,🙄
I think i may know someone who problay like a wash bottle for cleaning.
11$ for ketchup is very expensive in my opinion 😀

Maria Orosa, a Filipina food technologist and chemist, found herself faced with a challenge of a tomato shortage during World War II. To address this scarcity, she drew inspiration from the abundance of bananas in the country, inventing a ketchup using mashed bananas, vinegar, sugar and spices as a solution to the food shortage. That finger nail clipper says it is a professional and is made in Japan, so it's not a cheap Chinese knock-off
Banana Ketchup. Where the Filipino comment trains?
Hi
My Nana in a nutshell.
how...
Cool idea for a video and a change of pace for you. But I do like your tech videos, so please don't do too many videos like this. Do some, but don't change your channel's focus.
I will have to seek out this red banana catsup
@@ThioJoe😊 yeah
11 dollars for banana ketchup is prolly due to import tax, like how when Lays, Hersheys and Pringles were so damn expensive and only available in Duty Free stores back in the 90s and early 2000s here in Cebu, that is until those companies set up factories in closer countries like Malaysia.
Where's ThioJoe and what did you do with him?
Also, did I jump Timelines? *looks around confused*
WTF?
Strange on this channel surely not
This channel is becoming WatchMojo.
was this generated by chatgpt i swear to god
damn youre really out of ideas
I fear my brow may now be permanently more furrowed after sitting through this video.
What the hell?
This is just a weird, bad collective commercial :(
Dude, stick to Tech videos, your gifting ideas are terrible.
No, these were unique.
Not if you are 16, but when you get older you'll appreciate different stuff like this.
Those lab wash bottles are used by a lot of gardeners to water their succulents.
Hi
