In my friends Acura in 2007. It was…big enough. Enough to make me a permanent fan. It’s a trip how seemingly 90% of people who hear the word dubstep nowadays have no idea it used to like this.
Used to work at tacobell for a while, one time this dude rolled through playin' a Silkie tune. Then we had a conversation about Loefah, best order I ever took.
Everything is perfect. The percussion compliments the bass through the entire track. I love those claps oscillating around that sinister bass line and those delayed vocals echoing. It's just perfect in every way.
To be a pioneer in Dubstep and seeing what it had become at the time, no wonder he thought it was terrible. He made it for the wrong reasons but that doesn't make it a bad track. imo if you break the track down to the simple but distinctive sounding low end, the syncopated rhythm and the samples of Busta Rhymes' mad flowing vocals in Woo Hah, you get a track that defines dubstep. It's a amazingly simple track that deserves alot more credit
I have no ideea what you are talking about mate. Old school dubstep is still alive and well. Just last night been to a B2B Coki Loefah followed by B2B Mala Spyro
Goat stare, Mud, System, Night...all swaying spliff tunes, this is the only time he tried to make a banger and he succeeded. He may hate this track but it is the perfect blend IMO. Big up DMZ

@@bmullett707 if Truth is still dropping it, it's definitely sealed in fate as a classic. What do you think of their Acceptance album? It's personally my favorite of theirs.
nah you're crazy, this comment is becoming a bandwagon. Kahn, Neek, Commodo, Gantz, Bukez Finezt, J:Kenzo, Esh One, Epoch are just a few of the many that are still killing it
yes mate. commodo, gantz, las, mikael, goth trad, truth, quest, silkie - deep medi has just put out some solid music, as well as innamind and blacklist and chestplate. dubstep is still moving
WildBassfly thanks for your reply. A lot of dub step I hear doesn't sound this way with that wobble. It's like crazy robotic noises. Not hating it's just I prefer this style

cant believe that instead of getting zooted off 3 hits of acid and jiggling to this sick ass shit i was fucking around in the 3rd grade or whatever
early days DMZ at mass if you weren't there you couldn't know
I remember talking to loefah on MySpace after seeing him at Subdub 😊
God bless the golden era dubstep.
Gone (kind of, not really) but never forgotten.
I just said this today. I miss the old good dubstep

@@Bunechunk that's awesome. You from the UK? I don't see this happening as often in the states lol, especially 11 years ago!

in my opinion its just beautifull
I keep my tracks Simple !
I love DMz!!!
Who said it's bad?
A. A. D. Loofah said he hated this tune in an interview I think
Well put. I also think his(loefah's) remix of 'The Bug - Jah War' is another monumental example of classic dubstep in its finest form.
This kind of music stands all on it's own. I found myself drunk and rain dancing in my room with this tune on. Subs def blown by now.
R.I.P dubstep, the real ones like myself will never forget you.
What do we do now....WHAT DO WE DO NOW...?!?!?
make more, cherish the OG sound and move forward carrying the legacy on. make room for new sound and ideas while never forgetting where it began
Makes me think of PP's, Cargo and Bussy!!! Very nostalgic sound to this...
Find love.
Dubstep is still alive and strong. Ternion Sound et al. are keeping it real

Me too, Im too old for this 56k modem skrilly shit coming out of north america. The Jamaican lineage is what made it interesting to begin with.
