@@someperson9262 Yeah, except I believe that in the interview he's specifically referring to when they used to come up to Leeds and play on Iration Steppas.
Holy crap, this is just utterly MENTAL. This wasn't the sort of dubstep that got me into the scene (stuff from Flux Pavilion, Feed Me, Skrillex, like a lot of others), but I love finding stuff like this because it reminds me of the roots of the genre. I think my heart just concaved after all that bass. My god.
In '04, Loefah released this; Horror, his most accomplished record. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Goat Stare". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's also a personal statement about the man himself.
I remember around 10 years ago any 20 year old tune (I'm referring to electronic music mostly) sounded so dated, no matter how futuristic it was at the time of its' release. This tune however still sounds crazy fresh.
I remember discovering this sound through seeing gothtrad in like 2011/2012 and not really knowing where to find more.. then loefah came to play in my city around 2012 I'd say and i went hoping to hear this particular joint live.. opened up the door to Swamp81 but man was I disappointed at the time
I remember when Youngster dropped this at plastic people on a random Thursday night back in the day. I was on the phone to blackmarket records and bigapple records everyday after trying to get a copy of this on 12". Eventually i did get one and ive kept it ever since. This is real dubstep for me. Not the dubbage that came after or the squiggly stuff Skrillex and others brought out later. T
It's hard for me to choose a favorite loefah track, his tracks always have a heavy classic sub and wobble in them. I really like his remix of Pinch - Punisher

You should put in the description a copyright disclaimer that says if the owner of this content wishes for the video to be taken down they should PM you, to avoid this channel from getting taken down.
+Jonathan Dudley This song is actually noted by the likes of Mala for starting the 'half-time' style of dubstep, to which the genre is now almost exclusively associated.
Totally useless. i lost a channel, even with a copyright disclaimer. We all know it's illegal, but in a way, dubstep without youtube wouldn't have been the same. Anyway, the best thing he can do is creating links to support the artists or buy a copy.
The screams quietly sampeled in the background, the drilling bass... One of the best dubstep tracks ever imo.
The thickness of it... My god, it even has a watermark.
holy shit i didnt know loefah sampled american psycho
Lol man. The days of getting dubs and trips ...
According to mala, when this dropped back in the day it actually made people faint
That was real?
Wouldn't doubt it, probably one his tunes built for Club FWD's system. Shit must've absolutely slapped.
@@someperson9262 Yeah, except I believe that in the interview he's specifically referring to when they used to come up to Leeds and play on Iration Steppas.
They were probably on drugs and dehydrated lol
Party on wayne
I certainly passed out a fair few times at West Indian Centre back in the day, dunno if it was the bass or the other stuff!
Watched American Psycho last night, when it got to the last scene all i could think was... LOEFAH !!!!!

I've been seriously involved with the Dubstep community for a good 4-5 years now, but this channel has seriously opened up a new world to me.
That opening is so great i swear to god

This is ACTUAL dubstep. Not that Skrillex brostep knockoff made for people who like drugs and partying more than music
@@ralphfrazBlame skream. Not directly but it was his sound that people started to mimic imo. Or his tunes started the snowball effect

Edgelord of all edgelords in the intro. If he had utter indifference, his need to sound so spooky would not exist. Awesome track tho.

Oh yeah
Someone needs to remix this with "noot noot"
Dark but comforting. So ahead of its time too. Sounds like something asap rocky would’ve rapped on in 2012-16.
Seminal tune. Kick-started the half-step style, some say
ye it did, first halfstep tune (in dubstep)
