Thanks for sharing the tutorial. Look forward to how it performs at different times of day. I tested the mini3 pro at different times of day and sometimes it starts the Waypoint around 6' above where it was initially set to.
Hi Shaun. Been looking for some 4mm lifting eyes like yours. As the fixed ones are not easy to fit in the shoulder bag. But can't seem to locate ones with the loose D ring like yours. Some pointer would be helpful. I have the Air then Air2 then the 2S then the mini3pro and ordered the day it came out the 4pro, which I think is the best for most of my uses. Enjoy your videos. Need to get back over to our property in Alicante and often wonder what neck of the woods you are flying. Assume it is a bit further south of Alicante. Best Dave
Thank you Dave, glad you enjoyed the video. If you search on Amazon (I use Amazon ES) you can just buy the D rings only. Before I managed to buy a strap with the rings. Yes I live south of Alicante, check out my other UA-cam channel Expat in Mazarron.
Thanks for the vid on this. I'm still finding it easier to just use the mini 2 with Litchi than the mini 4. But then, I like making a Way point mission on computer in my office before stepping outside. Seems the DJI implementation of this will chew through some battery charge cycles for Nothing. Admittedly after watching I can see some Good points in this. Thanks for your time.
Thank you for your comment and very true, the Litchi app offer so much more with the Waypoint missions. Hopefully very soon we will be able to do this on the Mini 3 Pro and one day even the Mini 4 Pro. Many thanks for watching.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. If you watched near the end, I show you how to reach the files, it's in the History. I think it's stored in the cloud & internal.
There are loads of great reasons to use Waypoints. What I think could be improved on with this is, In the video the aircraft is repeating every single little adjustment including all the mistakes. It would be great to just set all of the parameters for the beginning waypoint, position-orientation-gimbal etc then fly to the next location and do the same and have the algorithm figure out everything in between to make it a seamless smooth shot. then to take it to the next level maybe even adjust some of the parameters like the ramping of the speed between waypoints and the length of time the aircraft spends at each point before moving to the next. Or even be able to pause and un-pause on the fly using the controller.
Many thanks for your comment JW, it's all about experimenting with the controls and adjusting while in flight to how you want it. At the moment I'm pretty impressed with the smoothness with the app compared to the Litchi & Maven when it comes to Waypoints. I do seem to see a lot of movement while using those two apps. Many thanks for watching.
But you must remember that if you want your waypoint to be exactly the same each time you fly that mission, you must take off from exactly the same point every time you do that mission as it records the height from its takeoff point, so if you takeoff from something 5 foot higher All of its waypoint will be 5 foot higher
Good to know, I thought it only recorded from the first Waypoint and didn't matter where you take off, as it sets it self up at the first Waypoint. Many thanks for watching.
@@shaunthedroneIdea: Use the first waypoint to store position of your landing pad. So when recording launch up from pad, hold position in about 2 m and safe the waypoint. Edit wp for, lets say, 20secs hovering... When coming back to run the route.... Start it. When drone waits at first point (in wrong alt but correct longitude and latitude) stop the route. Turn cam down, put the pad under drone, relaunch from pad and go for it. Sounds complicated, but it works nice and easy. Did it just 2hrs ago when I was testing. Cheers
When flying using an already defined route, can the Halt button be used to make the drone pause and then, somehow, let it continue its waypoint flight?
Another good question and correct, hit the Pause button to stop and again for it to continue, or the X to cancel the mission. Many thanks for watching.
@@shaunthedrone Thanks a lot! That way I can set up my Mavice 3 pro to fly a waypoint route at highest possible speed to follow a moving object and use the pause to syncronize the drone with the object. Guess Sports mode is not available in waypoints....
I have a dji mini 4 pro rc-2 controller. using coorinates can I go from my take off spot (point A )to another coorinates (Point B) have it land at point B and RTH Point A? If so How?
Good question and the simple question is no - you can fly it there - A to B but you wont be able to land and RTH. Not even the third party apps can do that. Many thanks for watching.
it doesn't seem to replicate your camera position /angle .... unless you give it a poi .... IT would be better if it did the same as your were flying it/set up ... i just tried myself ...or did i miss some thing ??
Many thanks for your comment and you didn't miss anything. I must do more with the Waypoints, it does seem you got less control than the Mini 3 Pro. Further tests coming. Many thanks for watching.
Thank you Cheryl, glad you are enjoying my videos and glad you're enjoying your new drone, it's amazing little drone and so much fun. Many thanks for watching.
DJI MINI 4 Pro Waypoints using the DJI RC 2, I show you how to do it with the drone in the air
Another enjoyable video 👍

Well done Mr. Matthews! It's so great that DJI put this feature on the Mini 4 Pro!
Thank you Marcus, glad you enjoyed the video and good on DJI for adding this feature. Many thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing the tutorial. Look forward to how it performs at different times of day. I tested the mini3 pro at different times of day and sometimes it starts the Waypoint around 6' above where it was initially set to.

@@SKid_Athor but it still takes all its height referenced to the takeoff point
@@fj1100mark yes. So it's key to have it exactly at same height and position, where I use the first waypoint for.
@@SKid_Athor I'll try giving it ago next time I'm doing Waypoints, thanks for the tip
Have you found anyway to set a waypoint based on a longitude latitude coordinate ?
Not tried this by only using the DJI RC 2 but it can be done using maps but I prefer flying and recording. Many thanks for watching.

nothing wrong with doing waypoints on the RC2 in fact it saves battery if you save the mission before you set off out .
