Interesting you mention the Bosch ignition coils and potentially being fake/copies. I bought a set of 4 BMW Bosh coils from someone on Facebook market place for a Mini Cooper S, basically unused/in-box. Fitted them and the car ran horrendous, this was a 2012 N18 engine. Spent ages trying to work out why it was happening, totally ignoring the ignition coils (as they were new). Around the same time I bought my M2 with 60k miles and bought a set of 6 genuine ones and out of interest fitted the genuine 60k miles ones to the Mini - and just like that all issues fixed. So the Bosh coils are good, as long as they're genuine and made in Germany.
Your not the first to mention it either, I’ve seen fake Bosch injectors too 😭 indeed scary stuff if you genuinely believe you’ve purchased decent oem parts
Agree compared to the e46 a more solid car 👍 mines been pretty reliable with just the odd sensor causing issues but it’s never left me stranded thankfully
Y’all must’ve had really new ones, really old ones where all the pain had already been experienced by someone else; OR y’all just drove garbage examples with low standards. People love to exaggerate how “reliable” whatever bimmer they had was. My friend just got a pretty clean one and it has: Leaking thermostat Seeping valve cover gasket(s) Leaking DCT You gotta budget more than just the rod bearings.
Thanks 😎 It’s mineral white, video never does it justice, really “pops” in the sunshine (picture of the sun setting against it on my Instagram - stone_automotive last week)
Very nice car :), I don't get why you fitted a roll cage though when you don't even track it, seems a waste of money. *shrug* And the price of the new intake is insane!😲But it sounds like so is the sound!😁 Will have to check out your video on that.
Thanks mate 😎 Haha well guess that depends how fast it’s driven on the road to justify the cage.. could also say why do I need a 420bhp V8 when the max speed limit in the UK is 70mph 👀😅 Yea the intake makes an incredible noise 😎
I was thinking of buying one of these. This video has totally put me off as so much has failed around the engine! All performance design but not much of a nod to reliability.
To be honest you can’t go wrong with either the M3 or M2 😎 owned a MK2 MX-5 years ago, cool thing for chucking round the back roads but not a patch on the M3 (v8 life 🤤😎)
Haha understandable! I put his contact details in the description for the video - BMW e46 M3 Interior Upgrade - Finally SMG stick improved!! ua-cam.com/video/ZgnxPZprRYc/v-deo.html
Your prices are totally out of whack dude. Rod bearings, oil, filter, both engine mounts for 1,500$ Get out of here. Double it. Alternator 450? New one cost 1,000 Set of genuine ignition coils is around 1,000
Trully the cleanest and most beautiful e92 m3 I've seen!!
Thanks Anton 😎
It’s very nice, but have you seen Obsessed Garage or Wetm3..?
@@X11CHASE yep seen those 😎👍

I owned 2 E93 M3 just sold the last one, only changed 1 wheel bearing in total of 1 yr ownership , found them v reliable generally, own an M2 now

@@X11CHASE your friend is a single case cannot generalise with his unfortunate luck. Also why so agressive.. take a deep breath
@@MrSoulja171 people saying they’re reliable are the one’s generalizing, what I’m telling you is not an anomaly, it’s a 10-15ish year old Bimmer…
Some of these service items are cheaper than my 1997 EK Civic, mental.
Yep.. and some parts certainly not 😅 in all honesty it’s not as bad as some would make out to run 👍
@@stoneautomotive Given me more reason to buy one. Dream car
Very awesome looking car! Is your car Alpine White or Mineral White?
Thanks 😎

Thanks this is a great review. Subscribed!
Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the channel support 😎
One thing I would do is update the headlights to halogen/xenon. The yellow globes date the car.
I have considered doing something with the head lights but in an odd pay I also like them period correct 😅 who knows what the future holds
Wrong. The yellow is period correct and looks awesome on a black car anyway. Maybe new bulbs needed but keep that same colour.
@@FlagnarBoobzincorrect, white bulb makes the car look better ESPECIALLY a black car

Yep still got it, sadly doesn’t see a lot of use these days 🫠😩
