I wish I lived in middle Tennessee. I’d come up there and have some fun with you working. I’ve always loved how you are so organized. I’m a sole proprietor here in Ga and I also love being organized and doing an above and beyond job for my customers.

Here in Las Vegas, not a lot of reliable HVAC companies. The one I use is a Mitsubishi "Diamond" associated as they do a lot of Mitsubishi systems such as the units in my home, ducted splits, Citi Multi unit outside. Not in the HVAC business myself but what I see coming out of the HVAC equipment makers seems to be the same old, same old thing. Since most homes here are production homes slapped by national building companies, they use the cheapest equipment with questionable instlattion due simply to the speed in which they have to finish one job and move to the next.

Love to watch you grow man! I’ve been a HVAC technician for 10 years now and you’ve helped me become the Technician I am today over the years.
If I end up moving to TN, save a job for me? 😂

You are one of the better systematic persons out there.
It makes the control of both smooth working conditions and the parts are easily found.
I tried to be in the same position myself, but not at your level.
Just one thing that surprises me is that many of you in the field don’t use a box to contain all screws and small parts.
So irritating and time consuming to find the items you dropped by an accident.
I always used a simple plastic box to secure small parts😬
Wish you luck with your projects😊

I think what can help you with the HVAC companies work culture being more fun is to also encourage your techs to grab a camera or GoPro, and film themselves work while educating their audience about HVAC. From a business and marketing perspective, that will help your brand and company get the name out as well. “Oh yeah, I remember the service tech Joe, he did a good job repairing my unit and I enjoy watching his videos!” Can go a long way and shows the value of their employee.

Big commercial hvac companies usually do jobs the right way. For instance they will have a design engineer(company overhead intensive) size and spec duct sizes and equipment compatibility. Small companies that play in the commercial real typically don't have a design e.gineer on staff and resort to "rule of thumb" guesses for duct sizing and equipment selection. These little guys make lots of profit by not having the designer eng on staff. All the problems associated with this are not immediately understood by the small company or the highering commercial business.

$199 for the scrap. Would’ve got way more if you would have cut it up and separated the copper and aluminum but I’m sure you ain’t got time for that this time of year. We save all our old equipment from change outs until it slows down and separate all the copper and aluminum from the sheet metal and steel. We also scrap the fan motors and compressors separately too. They pay the maximum dollar amount if it’s separated and the boss usually gives us a decent bonus when we scrap it all. I work at a small company so it’s a decent bonus because it’s only split between a couple guys.
