That one time I got scammed online while I was trying to shop for some Yeezys. Kanye really did a number on my wallet. If you guys are trying to shop for real and legit sneakers... go to StockX not sponsored but figured you should at least learn from my own mistakes. :')

So as someone who is fairly good at giving gifts, lemme let you in on a little secret: everyone has their defaults where no matter how many times they get said gift, they’ll always be happy. For instance, most artists I know would be happy to get some more art supplies as gifts since you saved them a trip to the store. Often better to just have a gift bag full of mid range art supplies cause they’ll use it, go into your local craft supply store, get a sketch book and some decent pencils or what have you. Some people also are the type to respond well to bath supplies, so going into B and B works and just chosing scents that match their personality and gift bag it again. Higher quality chocolate is also a safe bet, like, go into a Godiva or something, grab a couple of bars, and there you go. Some people think too hard on giving “The Best Gift” like it’s some sort of competition, just think if it’ll make the person smile and that’s alllllll you need. My default gift is journals and pretty dice. Like, 2 sets of pretty colored dice or one of those metal sets you could hurt someone with if you threw it at them, and I’m happy.
“How do I gift wrap a mace?” Wrap carefully in filler paper, then put into a sturdy-ish box (maybe fill more with paper depending on how much room is in the box for the mace to flop around), wrap the box. Find your local ren faire/SCA/larp geeks and they can probably help you find one. Maybe even if a super nice boffer mace if you’re worried about safety.
My default gift is a Barnes and Noble gift card. Or just a gift card from anywhere I like to shop. Heck just give the money to pick out my own gift and i'll be happy.
“Immediate blood group so I may or may not be obligated to give you a gift.” I would say unless they give you gifts or if your holidays are spent together, no. Also the ones you don’t talk to are better to just have a wider safety net like the good chocolate or something than say your best friend whom you know their safety’s much better.
@@misstressfoxtail05 yeah B&N is probably the only time I think it’s better to gift card than attempt the gift cause books are so tailored to a persons taste it’s impossible to know for sure if they’d like it or if they have the book already unless it’s like, some sort of collectible copy or you know they are waiting to see if they get the book as a gift. Though the gift card route can be interesting in it’s own right due to presentation! They sell joke boxes of products no one could possibly want to hide a real gift inside. Like, a 2 in 1 shower head and coffee maker XD
Oh yeah, another gift giving tip, you might have noticed from the comment, sometimes it’s better to just get a buncha small gifts guaranteed to make a smile than a big gift you don’t know. Someone is truly gonna love 20lbs of higher quality chocolate more than some nikes or something. (I default to chocolate a lot when I don’t know)

Yea I got scammed too but take it as a lesson. You'll never do it again. There are many people who've been scammed over the years and the numbers are increasing. We need to expose and inform in whatever way we can

There were so many red flags on the way to check out that I think my heart stopped for a second.
My dad is one of the people who "never wants anything since he can likely get it himself, so never talks about it with anybody". I am one of the people who is almost always disappointed when people get them gifts, usually because I always feel guilty about receiving it (even if it is a sanctioned holiday) and my parents ask for my Amazon list ten times because they always lose track of it. Not to mention I am not someone who holds on to unnecessary stuff until I need it on some future day, unlike my mom and my extremely spendthrift, prone to "impulse buying" sister.
"Gift giving" is the language I use to show love, usually little thoughtful things or hand-written notes. Give me your undivided attention and meaningful words for receiving love, maybe with some comfortable touch.

a) Brand names only sell their own products on their own websites, even then, luxury brands (eg lvmh, hermes, tiffany) don't really sell online, they direct you to their physical store.
b) 100% of luxury brands sold at a discount. Are fake.
Paypal will open an investigation on sellers who sell fake items. But you have to open that dispute, not just give up on it.

I just got scammed, I bought from one of these shops that resell other items without realizing said thing. So I bought trousers and hoodie for double the price I could get on Amazon or aliexpres.
But it still was kind of worth it since I really like the pants ^-^
But from now on I always use Google picture search first to find the cheapest version first

Gift giving is definitely one of those things I tend to be super indecisive about. Family, friends, a secret santa for work, I take it so seriously like even though I know people on different levels I want them to like it. And I have given my share of gift cards but sometimes I wonder if thats copping out and then I don't know what to do instead. n_n; my brother and I have such different interests that I have given him alot of gift cards for stuff to pick himself.

Yeah that google ad thing is an actual problem. My godmother actually fell for that, clicking the first link looking for paypal and ended up getting scammed for hundreds (basically everything she had left when she was already having issues.) Please yall, inform and teach your parents and elderly that if they use the internet, look before they click.

Because you are the OG. First thing we were told when we got online was to watch out for the prince scam.
Always give a website a good look and get second opinions if it's one that isn't well known o-o some are really well put together that you would have thought for sure it's legit.. until you find those flaws that could easily be missed by skimming. (I'm in a group that helps each other figure out if a site being looked at is a scam or not.. there was someone whose sister was looking at a bridal site, and if you took it at face value without really looking around, you would have definitely been fooled). Oh, and we also consider sites that steal designs scammers too, even if you get what you paid for (we don't care if you can't afford the authentic piece.. there's no excuse for supporting theft)
I myself was scammed buying into a lifetime membership at the end of a course that SURPRISE! was useless because a) the online school never did add new courses and b) They removed the whole feature some time ago (I hadn't been back in ages because why bother if they're going to [if ever] add new courses all eternity later?) I made the mistake of looking up reviews on the place.. sooo regretful I didn't do this way back when (I didn't because an in-law had gifted me the course and I assumed they would know if the site was good or not)

2. Someone did the same without buying the spot, just bought lots of traffic for their site to be the first non-ad spot in google for the words "csgo hacks" for a hack-client that prevents them from hacking and is more about trolling them.
This went even as far as to be used in tournaments, they are coordinatedly going up the stairs, except the hacker who jumps off the map like batman. xD

With the gift card thing:
If they want something specific (such as clothes, a game, etc) that would be difficult for you to get right, gift card. For example, my mum likes specific gardening tools and gloves so we get her gift cards so we don’t buy the wrong thing.
And to comment on the scamming, It does feel bad but it happens to the best of us. Sadly scammers can get smarter, the deal looks too good to be true but you want it to be, And they can hide in plain sight its crazy. It sucks to lose money but glad you weren't hurt or anything like that. At least you know better for next time.

I only wear boots and Adidas because of this. Like my boots cost $200 and most of my Adidas shoes are $100-200. But the only time I got scammed was when I decided to buy a skateboard online. It broke after a month of use and not even while I was using it, just one day I was about to use it at the board just broke into three pieces.
