Yes Lucas I agree I'm from the old world, and I ain't leaving, I've seen the new one.All they do is text, text and text.I saw some 17 year old bone head get hit while crossing the street, because his mind was wrapped up on that bloody phone.
This is the first and only channel that I just had to watch all the vids. I watched so many that I think I caught several of em 2 maybe 3 times. Im just a homeowner in south Louisiana, but you have saved my butt a couple times already. Just cutting firewood or clearing by my house. Thank you very much, Buckin. I grew up helping cut firewood and running old mac's and Poulands. I recently found and old Homelite in one of my dads sheds, with a big bow style chain and such. Gonna see if I can make it run. I work at autozone so I can find parts that may be hard to get sometimes. (rambling - one eternity later)THANK YOU SIR AND THE ARMY FOR WHAT YOU ALL DO... Much love from the deep south...
Your lucky to still be climbing so well . Injuries have almost prevented me from climbing now so enjoy every one you climbe and take in as many sightings as you possible can . Because i never stopped at the top or took in the view. Just pause turn off the saw and lookaround and take in the view. Its not just a job to get done .them days come to the end before your ready.
Thank you for another great video Buckin'. Today is my day off (11 day work week) and coming back to see this was cool and fun. The simplicity of your equipment and old school methods are really disarming and appreciated. Thanks again! You ROCK!
Awesome... just awesome!! Good attitude and good information. Thanks for showing the gears needed for the climb. If i had to cut that tree i would use 5 times the energy taking 5 times longer and get the saw stuck a few times. Very good job man !! Thanks for making this video.
Love these climbing/falling videos! It's so nice to see people who knows what they're doing...nice job and clean up Billy :) Have a great weekend all of you guys, girls, women and children out there!
That maple looks great it's so nice to see the beautiful trees available to you in your country . Ive been using an Alaskan slabbing mill since 1994 so I appreciate it . Two Dogs .
Fine job my friend, Bet you got goosebump's seeing the axe hanging there,or accomplishment.. I know that feeling.. Take Care Friend's and Enjoy your weekend..
Billy Ray, this was another fine video. I am even older than you and appreciate your work. Everything in this job was done just as I would do it-- the way I was trained, back in the stone age. I do cringe when you do a one hand cut though. That's how I got my only injury. But I know you had no choice. Falling brush had to be aimed right. I work alone, just as you did here. It's what required you to conserve gas. Glad to see you took a nice little saw up with you. I do that too. Always have. Fortunately there are nicer small hand saws now. I used to have to take a big saw up. It was 2 1/2 feet long and I didn't like the way it cut. My new favorites are Silky type saws. It's Nice, way up in the tree. Thanks for the rope coiling demo. And mentioning rolling or twisting it a little for each loop. Not a lot of people will do that.
Inspirational! Great job. Watched the whole thing. I usually don’t watch more than 5 minuets. I am starting at 53. Boosted my confidence. Thanks for the video. God bless you and yours.
Thank You for the tag along Billy. "That was fun!" ... and informative. Glad the folding saw is holdin up, I like what you done to it bud... Love and Happiness to you and yours.
Great video love all the great information and when you showed your she'd I was blown away and hat was a great idea putting your saws In a log like that ... Never seen anyone do that before but I'm just getting in the tree service and coming out of cell tower work ... Been climbing for just short of 13 years and decided enough was enough... Anyhow as a professional climber I dig your style and as a newbie tree man I learned alot from this video... Thanks alot and be safe my friend and have a blessed night in Jesus name....
Man I just luv your shows. Your show reminds me of this radio program that I uses to listen to every weekend called "Car Talk" with a couple of old mechanics that really knew their there shit, and they made car problem solving fun to do. And you do that for tree cutt'in... with your in-depth eye for smart work, and the little tricks of the trade you pass on just makes it fun to watch... All's I can say is... Good job & Thanks man, Thank you very much... crazy som-ma gun...😀😉
Honest good working ethics. Nothing gets the job done like a pro, other than a pro. No need for expensive break the bank and go rob the customer overcharging to get going. I watched this channel for the first time today after I climbed a maple myself and my wife almost had a HA. The point is, I am not a pro but Billy is and I learned alot just watching this very first video. Thanks man, I appreciated the simple things, and (although I am not implying that what you do is simple or easy) going back to the basics is very satisfying. I enjoyed it.
Good vid, Buckin! While stacking firewood the other day I kept thinking "leave room for a mouse!" I always have, but the saying is with me for good, now. Too funny!
Hi buddy. Love watching you climb and take them down. You make it look so easy and I know it's far from it. I have learned so much about tree work from you. Hope Muma Buckin's doing well. Love to you and your wonderful family.
awesome video. love watching the tree cutting videos. Be safe climbing, cutting, lifting, and tree work in general is not an easy job. Stay safe and keep the videos coming.
Man, this is what I'd like to work towards. One man army, it's nice to have help, but there is something to be said for working solo as well. Cheers from Canada!
I've wanted to say this for days now but DUDE I love your saw room! What guy who has ever run a chainsaw wouldn't! Right? Love the trucks as well. I've stuck to flatbed trucks since I fell in love with my first over a decade ago but I'm in the market for a low to the ground 2wd dually like yours. I've come to realize that there's no point in having a big truck if you can't put anything in it! That and i'm really hurting for a dump bed. I'm no tree feller. Just a guy who has cut wood for my fireplace and firewood for sale since I was a kid. I don't fall trees unless it's in the middle of nowhere and it isn't complicated. I've made a lot of mistakes dropping trees on my own property. Never had anyone to teach me. But I've already learned so many things just watching your channel that I can apply to situations I've gotten myself into in the past. Because of your channel, I'm sure I'll learn a lot more if I stick around. Thanks a bunch, and keep on being awesome.
sorry have to put in a few words... I freaking Love you and your channel.. i have learned so much from you and your so pleasant.. I love your attitude and your love for climbing, trees and nature.. just like me.. ( except the climbing part) .. I am trying tho lol.. But as for your injury and you saying u have a few years to go.. it blew my mind.. cause i just found you and your channel towards the end of 2019.. this video was in 2017, 2 years ago.. and to see your son climbing with you and you still climbing to teach him "RIGHT".. more power to you.. you legacy will live on, and to see him in love with it as much as you and wanting to learn.. Love it.. Thank you Billy..
Billy Ray I think you need at least two more chain saws buddy Lolo lol great video you remind me of "Felix The Cat" 20 years ago taught me how to climb doing power line clearance work in Big Sur California same character great guy ..have a good day ..
Buckin', i love that collection of saws you are having in that garage of yours ! Amazing stuff :) Greetings from Belgium from one tree man to another, stay safe.
Hello Bucking, great job and thanks for the advice of always having a hole for dropping big stuff. Also thank you so much for singing that song last time for my wife. I was watching you live and she was right next to me sending some emails and you just started singing a song with her name. That was awesome, she got so red and happy at the same time. Hahhaha I think I can share a small advice of using two rakes to pick up the last debree, I must admit its hard to do maneuver it at first but once you get the technique down it will save your back my friend. Maybe bending down is better for the workout who knows. But thats my small pice of advice sharing to this big channel of content sharing. Thank you again I have learned so many thigs from your videos. Best of luck to all who read this. Stay safe. And be kind like Bucking would say.
That's the climbing system and I learned on while I was in school some of the best, as I know still climb on the system even after all these years great vid
buckin you are awesome love the videos you have such a great outlook on life buckin and in my opinon just a upstanding person thanks so much for what you do here on youtube
Billy looked like a big squirrel climbing up there cutting pine cones out of the tree as he tossed the limbs down. A long and productive life to you Billy. I take what I am learning and applying it in my small bucking firewood world. Cutting off limb stubs with the top of the bar so the stub is not thrown back up at your body but down and forward away from you when it comes off. How to coil a rope better than I was doing before I saw this video’s neat trick demonstration. How to hand file my chains properly. How to adjust my chain tension properly. The information is coming to us in waves friends thanks to Billy.
First look. Subd n notice. So I'll be back ,good stuff. I get bumps when you got up high. Safety , saftey, saftey. Having issues with new Husky but more on that later. Thank you so much. Nothing beats experience
Man, the helmet cam view, when you were on top of the trees, and they were wobbling all over the place.... that gave me the willies! I don't mind heights too much, but seriously, no way could I do that! lol
First video I seen I will def be subscribed after this video I was a groundman who climbed a dozen or so trees and realized I belong on the ground lol but loved the video can’t wait to see more
Great video! And very nice editing, too. Your using two cameras really gives your project perspective and keeps it interesting... I'm fairly new at climbing to the sky, but I've got the bug so think I'll stay with it. (After all you've got to do something after you retire... 67 this month!) Gonna try rigging a second line like you did here and looking forward to trying out your cool rope coil technique! Thank you.
That had to be the fastest 43 minute video I had ever seen. Some thoughts, some mine, some others. 64 year old retired truck driver of 38 years, first rule, always , jump before you call, jumping lest you see where your going to land, falling didn't. Rule number two, tuck and role, the second your feet hit the ground, buckle your knees and role. Jealousy my friend, people wished they could be more like you. Everyone is worried he, or she, is going to do more work than the rest. Life is short, tomorrow is promised to nowone. Your awesome dude.
This is the only channel where people are nice and appreciate old school, instead of complaining about everything. I love it. Great job Billy

Great video! And very nice editing, too. Your using two cameras really gives your project perspective and keeps it interesting...
