ARK: Fjordur Spotlight - Andrewsarchus

- Andrewsarchus makes its way to Fjordur packing an arsenal of utility! Mount a minigun and cause havoc with the upcoming Andrewsarchus saddle! Though Andrewsarchus may not be able to absorb as much damage as some of ARK's larger creatures, it's sure to cause a lot of mayhem while protecting its rider in an airtight enclosure.
Fjordur launches for PC and console in June! Look below for more information on Fjordur and its unique creatures that will be included with the free update!

Since its related to pigs I'd assume its kind of like a knock out creature that applies torpor. Hopefully it's slightly better than the horse
**Imagine a boar-like wolf with horse legs** I see Andrewsarchus in my mind after seeing it in action in this spotlight... It's like an assault tank in the flesh.
Its actually a close relative of hippos but your point still kind of stands, it says it right there in the dossier

The Back Kick and Sliding Animations are Smooth and Talented!
man I have to give props to you guys for staying on the more accurate side of paleontology for this one. That's something you don't see on the regular for ARK creatures and it's refreshing!
The last scene was amazing, the kick shows, 'DON'T SNEAK UP FROM BEHIND OR YOU'LL GET KICKED' though it was also like, 'Get away' which either way was pretty funny
This looks sick! Do hope we can do a non turret / tank like saddle and just have a basic one too tho. Like how there’s platform and normal saddles

I’m so excited, from when I first started playing I wanted this creature in the game! I hope that when Ark 2 drops we go back to getting regular creature spotlights every few weeks/months, like the good old days of Ark. I missed having spotlights like this be a regular thing, and after the polls there’s about ten or more creatures I’d love to see get their own spotlights and come to the game.
I hope they add a PvE ascetic saddle which doesn’t have the excessive metal and turret.
I think wildcard missed an opportunity, just make saddles and saddle mods. They did that with body armor and mods like the wingpack. Therefore you could have the base saddle and say a mod for carry weight, defense, offense, etc.

The dossier says they can be ridden without a saddle. Like tropeos.
Same! Love the turret but i play pve and it wouldn’t exactly be a regularly used feature. Definitely need a good non turret saddle
The turret saddle does however let you dive without losing oxygen as per the dossier

This creature looks so cool and super unique! I atleast hope it's balanced
I was disappointed with lost Island, Love the map, Didn't like the creatures (Minus sinomacrops) But this... This does put a smile on my face :)
Lost island is just death, cant go anywhere without being knocked off your mount and murdered. The snow area is massive and terrifying xD
Nothing too special either other then a couple castles and such I wish we had crazier maps like how the crystal isle had floating islands maybe have a whole map just being flouting islands or something we seen enough castles more crazy stuff please

Keep in mind this saddle will be stupidly expensive, will be very expensive to supply ammo to, and will do next to no damage, like most industrial weapon saddles.

I really hope that it also has a normal saddle or can be ridden without one, as it may be cool for pvp/cinematics, but it would be nice to not always have to have that clunky saddle on all the time just to ride it
Yea I totally agree! Make it how quetz have platform and normal saddles , or make it like direwolves and equus with no needed saddle. But I’d rather have a non gun saddle to give the extra protection without the beefy mini gun box

in my opinion a way to make Andrewsarchus even more unique would be that we can use other types of ammunition in the turret (such as shotgun, pistol or sniper ammo)
