Only one water bottle pocket and only one hip belt pocket. Very strange.

Can you lock the zippered U shaped compartment? I was going to use this for travel and would like to be able to lock the contents so that someone can't pick-pocket...

The pack does not have locking zippers

Thanks for the question! The hipbelt is not removable, and the pack does not have a built in belt storage or stowaway system. If the hipbelt pocket is not in use, it may be possible wrap them around the outside of the pack body, but it is not an inherent feature of the pack.
