Don't listen to the naysayers about the weathering. I see this as one of the thousands of pieces of hardware left behind after the Empire bugged out, maybe even used by whoever filled the power vacuum left in their wake. Those guys wouldn't be as disciplined as Imperial troops and scrubbing down equipment wouldn't be high on their list of priorities.
@@DerAua I can imagine it being on a long deployment on some grimy rainforest planet somewhere at the outer reaches of the Empire. Imperial cleanliness standards would probably be dropped somewhat if you were stationed at a tiny garrison the rest of the Empire barely cared about, and it'd become pointless to keep it 100% sparkling when it would come back covered in mud, foliage and other detritus every day after a lengthy patrol.
Weathering is adding what you see in effects, its a kind of surrealism a snapshot of effects Really fantastic work!!!! Well done!!!!! Bravo !!!!bravo!!! You did great!!! The effects are precise , in scale, looks great and lots of , dirt , grim Wear n tear Outstanding!!! Encore' !!!!!!
That looked incredible. I wasn't hot on the weathering, wear and tear in the mid parts of the video, but the finished product looked amazing with them! Really great! That's an art from, true skills and imagination to paint something like that. And people think taking a picture is art, or sticking a banana to a wall, or even flicking paint at a blank canvas. This, my pedigree chum, is art.
My son likes legos and other model building and I like making Lo-fi terrain for homebrew D&D, but I think building plastic models is our next challenge. This video was inspirational in that direction.
One of the best how to vids on weathering i have seen although all your build vids are a learning experience . Up close and personnel , well shot and perfect music choice ..
I'm just now getting into Star Wars model kits. This was an excellent video to watch for me to learn more information that I hadn't known before. Thank you so much. You're AT-ST looks badass!!
@@ScaleHangar182 14 August is coming when Pakistan was created so please make a Pakistan Air Force Tempest mk 2 which was the first fighter of the country. Love from Pakistan
Ahh, a face that only a mother could love. A nice build, great paint job. I'm wondering what one would look like in some field applied camouflage. No reason it couldn't have happened.
Put on the headphones and turn it up! Not only does Dawid build a neat model, he also produces a great video! That Machine looks like it’s been in the jungle for quite some time. Beautiful Job! I hope the lid comes off so you can appreciate the interior detail also!
This is so brilliant and with that high degree of art and talent. The model looks so awesome. Good work. some years ago your profession could have been building models for the Star Wars movies :)
Very well done. I may steal a play or two out of your book for mine when I build it. I weather much the same and use the same techniques so the result will be similar. I was amazed at how little cement will be needed since it is quite articulated and the pieces really seemed to fall together very well. I think it moved up the stack because of this vid. Thanks.
Amazing, I really need to buy one of these kits, they are so detailed and go together perfectly. I’ve seen a few videos on different Star Wars models and I’ve never really seen anyone filling or adjusting anything. Great video 👍🇬🇧
As a huge lover of Star Wars, and swamp environment aesthetics, this is just about flawless. The only thing I personally would have added would be a level of dirt/grime on the legs and feet from trudging through mud and swamp, but beyond that it's amazing. Very good job with your LoD down to the rain wear. Sub and like from me. Curious to see what your channel has and what you'll make/post in the future!
Magnifique j adore moi je commence cette maquette et trop envie de faire comme vous !!! Votre travail et top franchement respect j espère faire un travail comme vous sur mon AT-ST
That was sick, I do a lot of mini painting myself but not quite to this extent with all the oil effects like grim weathering rain and moss lol, maybe some chipping or grease but wow great job
Such a fantastic kit! I’m amazed by how much detail is supplied for the cockpit when there are only 3 small openings to try and see it through! Amazing weathering as well, really brings it to life, ever thought of putting it into a small Dio?
Going to start mine soon. Still new to it so not to sure how to get the weathering effects. Have a few projects done but want to brave getting effect done like that.
You will be fine. It's easier done than said about weathering. Usually three steps: Wash (for dirt/oil), paint (rust) and pigment (for mud/dirt effect)
For star wars weathering references, you can visit the latest star wars game on pc or ps4. And for you David, your weathering is great! I love your work so much!
This does look beautiful weather but people have to remember that Star Wars vehicles are made of a non-corrosive metal I believe it’s called Dura steel it’s a metal alloy that does not corrode which is why a lot of the ships in the Star Wars universe can be hundreds of years old and still functioning even Luke’s X-Wing was in the ocean for almost 20 years yet it still flies
This is a fact. I have this kit and the snow speeder kit and OMG the pieces fit so well together that i honestly dont see how any other kit cant get it right. The snow speeder i built with 0 glue
Looks great. I like when someone is strong enough to believe in themselves and try their own vision. Not copying what others have done or do
kit build look easy, after what u did with painting is priceless.
Model kit it self is already a very decent model with amazing details.
This looks astonishing please make a endor diorama with this that would be amazing
and i did! :)
You a time traveler or something???

Agreed. Even in use by the empire it would get dirty sometimes.

Wow. That is a fantastic build. Your weathering skills are unmatched sir.
This is exactly how i want to paint mine!!! I love the mossy look like it’s raining constantly where that At-St has been stationed.
Glad you liked it!

Really good job, the weathering is superb.
Painting and weathering was master grade especially the running rain marks. Beautiful touch there!
As a dude who came here from the UA-cam algorithm. Thanks for the weathering tips. I'm gonna see how I can apply them to some warhammer 40k tau
Cool!

Stunning kit and weathering effect. Awesome build.
Thank you sir 😁
Very authentic weathering. They are basically "tanks" so makes sense to make them look worn from the battlefield. Thanks for this video!
Of course you'd put your own touches to it. Great stuff. A hearty yes please for a diorama!
The absolute first thing that has got me excited for Star Wars since Disney took over.
🤣🤣🤣
Bandai does a good job making these snap together kits, I never knew. But you made this look like it came right off the movie set. Beautiful!
That bad boy needs to be put in a nice Redwood diorama!!! Excellent & patient work! :)
Planning exactly that with mine, I think I'll get the photo etch set for it though. Really seems worth it on this kit.
This is the best scout walker i have seen yet!! Geat looking model. Please keep them coming!
Will do sir! 😁

This is a snap kit, but it is fantastic.Bandai did a great job on it.And you followed by painting and weathering it perfectly.
Wow. How realistic does that look. Excellent build with superb weathering techniques 👏
Thank you!
Great build, loved the way you took the time to give it a proper weathering paint job. I always enjoy your builds. Thanks
Anyone that would give this a thumbs down does so due to jealousy because of lack a talent.
Absolutley !!!! looks like there's about 74 people who can't color inside the lines
Fantastic job, I love all of the ambient environmental detail that was added as well
Nice work, need to get me some of the star wars models. Thanks for sharing.
The paint job is amazing it looks real
love the endor green mold detail.
Awesome paint and weathering job
Absolute master class in painting and weathering, top-class... I came here via the UA-cam algorithm, I am so glad I clicked this link.

Nice weathering job looks awesome
nice I will use this as influence to create a truer weathered look on the ATST Raider
Amazing detail.
I wish I had the time and skill to do something like this.
Really well done
Thank you!
That s so beautifully built!
When I am grown up I want to be like you.... that is amazing my friend.
Dude, that is phenomenal work!! It looks like it's come to a stop after a patrol! Do a forest sort of diorama and that would just make it!!
Definitely done this proud

Excellent work! The weathering is perfect, your chicken walker really does look like it's been out in the field for months.
Fair play to you, you did an awesome job on that 👏🏽
holy shit, your airbrush technique is phenomenal!
That scout should be in a Lucas film! Forget Disney! Spot on dude!
I would love to see you do the Bandai at-at 1/144 scale! That would be awesome!
Amazing, I really need to buy one of these kits, they are so detailed and go together perfectly. I’ve seen a few videos on different Star Wars models and I’ve never really seen anyone filling or adjusting anything. Great video 👍🇬🇧
Yes, I want MORE ! 😁
Bandai rarely miss the quality, you can try get ALL Star Wars kits released by them.
Yeah! More!
Is this the revell star wars bandai at-st 1/48 model?
Nice touch with the gloss on the underside parts, they get less abuse. Subbed!

An amazing build.....superb paint work.....love the weathering in particular.....so realistic!!

Bandai don't like use glue in their kits. Pretty much everything by them is snap and fit.
Also, if it's fallen into disrepair as it appears it will be a very loud mechanism clanging squeakily along.
Amazing, fully realistic, but are not those blasters cannons too many clean?
The force with You!
Nice video!
great weathering i learned a lot thanks
wahou, beautiful painting and weathering job ;)
